Initial appointment at Western Dental, June 20, 2022. Procedures done (x-rays, consultation, impressions for GumX tray). After speaking with my doctor about the treatment, I called Western Dental, June 22, 2022 to cancel my planned treatment per my doctor's recommendation. Further details regarding reasoning & communication with Western Dental will be attached as images below, but pretty much, I was told that I had to speak with corporate regarding a refund. I've been back and forth between the Western Dental Office, customer service, customer relations. Most recently, I have not been able to get in touch with customer service for an update, after multiple call attempts and being on hold for several hours. I have already submitted a written grievance via the Western Dental website. More recently, I spoke with the Western Dental location where I had my initial appointment (*******************) and was told that my account had been audited and sent "out" but I would not be receiving a full refund. In summary, I am requesting a refund for the full amount that was charged to my Care Credit card ($2,104.90) since I requested to cancel the treatment prior to even beginning it. I've attempted to resolve this with Western Dental customer relations + with the ***************************************** location directly but am now seeking assistance from BBB since I am not getting any updates from Western Dental and have previously been informed by an employee of Western Dental, *******************, that even if I do receive a refund, it is not going to be for the full amount that was charged to me. Attachments below include emails that I have sent to customer service & corporate of *****************************************, along with a screen shot of the total amount that has been charged to my Care Credit account. I've also included the appointment reminder email sent to me on July 4, 2022 even though I had requested to cancel my treatment, on June 22, 2022.

Transaction Date: 06/07/2022 Amount paid to business: ******** On June 7th, 2022, I had a routine dental visit, when the patient care coordinator (***********************) assisting the dentist suggested I needed a ******** treatment. She was very pushy and insisted this treatment was necessary. She had me fill out a CareCredit application just to see how much of the treatment could be charged to CareCredit. I was qualified instantly for $2,000. She quickly began to charge the cost of the treatment and began the paperwork while I was still on the chair, being treated by the dentist. She had me sign the "routine paperwork" while I was distracted and unable to properly review the paperwork. I asked her for a breakdown of all the charges and she said the system did not allow her to do that. She also said the insurance did not cover the treatment, therefore it would have to come out of pocket. She proceeded to put a bag of together for me with the supplies that came with the treatment. She placed the bag and paperwork on a chair next to me while I was still undergoing a procedure. It wasn't till i got home that I reviewed the charges and I realized the discrepancy in the amount and the treatment kit she had provided. She did not provide me with all the supplies she charged for, she charged multiple items twice, and overcharged for the treatment. There was a discrepancy in the total cost of the treatment/supplies and the invoice. Where did the $******** come from? The trays that will be given to me at the next appointment cost $236 and the supplies that were provided to me added to $177.30, for a total of $413.3. There is a discrepancy of $1,213.7 in the amount charged. It is unethical for businesses and employees to take advantage of their patience and provide misleading information. Patients go in thinking that they can trust the dentist and their staff and get taken advantaged of. Overcharging for procedures, materials, and services is unethical and should be investigated.
