    I had a heart attack on my cruise from Italy to the USA and was transported to the Hospital in Valencia, Spain, for 11 days. My wife and I were then flown using EA+ with a nurse in attendance back to my hospital doctor at Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida.
    EA+ provided for my wife and me transportation from Valencia, Spain, to the airport, where we flew first class from Valencia, Spain, to Miami, FL, and then to our residence in Sunrise, FL. At all times, I had the RN in attendance. She made all arrangements for ground and air transportation to get us back to the U.S. She was fluent in Spanish and provided interpretation whenever needed on the trip.

    My husband (aged 74) and I (aged 73) took our 11-member extended family to Orlando FL to visit the amusement parks. While there, my husband developed an infection in his artificial knee that required removal of the joint and replacement with a temporary joint. He wasn't able to travel back home to Las Vegas and had to have the surgery performed in Orlando. He was hospitalized in Orlando for nearly a month as he kept having reactions to the antibiotics he was given.
    We contacted EA+ after the first week of his hospital stay to determine what assistance they could provide in getting us home - I had originally purchased EA+ because we were vacationing overseas quite a bit before COVID. We kept EA+ informed of his potential discharge date - which kept slipping. As that date approached, EA+ arranged for: 1) timely discharge from the Orlando hospital to make our return flight including obtaining his full medical history (getting that history was a monumental undertaking - the hospital was VERY uncooperative); 2) medical transportation to the Orlando airport; 3) the return flight for him, my daughter who stayed to assist me, and me, including the hassle of changing planes in Houston; 4) wheel chairs for him and me at every airport; 6) medical transportation to a hospital in Las Vegas for continued treatment; 7) transfer of medical records from Orlando to Las Vegas; 7) initiation of continued treatment in Las Vegas; and best of all, 8) a wonderful nurse to accompany him through this entire process. EA+ also arranged more spacious 1st class seating for him because his leg was in a rigid brace. Since then, we have been extolling the virtues of EA+ to all our friends and my husband even made a presentation to staff members at his company regarding EA+ and their fantastic service. I don't know how I would have coped if I had to handle all of this myself.
    EA+ is far less costly than adding this type of insurance to every flight and even covers us on driving trips.

    What a phenomenal story, thank you so much for sharing this with us. As someone who has worked at EA+ for over two decades, I still to this day am in awe and so proud of what the EA+ team is able to do for our members. We are so sorry that your entire family went through such an ordeal, and I can't imagine how worried you all must have been. Thankfully you had EA+'s reliable and professional team of experts to guide you through it, and that we arranged and provided you with all the necessary services and to get you, your daughter and your husband back home. We are so pleased you've shared your experience and are happy we were able to be there in your time of need. We hope you have many more trips planned and hope your husband's knee is better than ever!

    I was vacationing down the Baja Mexico. I became extremely sick with severe pneumonia and other lung infections. Two different hospitals in Mexico evaluated me and said they couldn't help me. I needed to get to a US hospital as soon as possible. It would be a 3-day trip by car to the US.
    My wife found my EA+ card in my wallet and called, not knowing what to expect. They took down the information, talked to the doctors in Mexico, and had a Lear jet with a doctor, a paramedic and a nurse fly in from Guadalajara to LaPaz. They coordinated with an ambulance to get me to the airport, flew my wife and me to San Diego in the Lear jet, had an ambulance waiting and got us through customs and to a hospital in San Diego. After 12 days in that hospital, they arranged airline tickets to Denver for my wife and myself and the nurse that they had flown to San Diego to accompany me. The nurse had oxygen on the airplane for me, and EA+ even had arranged to have oxygen at my house when we arrived there.

    No one ever plans on getting sick like that while on vacation, especially being somewhere the me medical staff could NOT treat you! We hear of that all too often and it is a frightening situation. We are so glad our EA+ staff quickly got you to another hospital for the care you needed to get better, and then got you and your wife home with a nurse who traveled with you all the way home and ensured your safe arrival. Our member's safety and health are our number one concern. Be well and we wish you safe travels!

    Best money I ever spent was signing up for Emergency Assistance Plus (EA+). After an accident in California where I was taken to the hospital with crush injuries after being run over by a truck. My wife called EA+ for assistance to get me home. EA+ helped with medical evaluation to see when and how I could travel. Due to the punctured lung, I couldn't fly, so EA+ arranged for ground transportation and coordinated with the hospital to get me transported home from California to Tucson, Arizona via ambulance. My wife was able to contact EA+ at all hours to get all of this arranged and says the people she worked with were kind, knowledgeable, understanding, and wonderful.

We are so sorry to hear that happened to you but are so glad that you had EA+, and that you nor your wife had to worry about the logistics to get you back home to Tuscan safely once you were discharged.     We have been EA+ members for over 10 years. In 2014, my wife was severely injured. EA+ responded very professionally to her needs. Here is her brief story:
    We were on a mission for our church in Vermont. We live in Colorado. My wife Lynne fell in the bathroom at our missionary apartment in South Royalton, VT, suffering severe, life-threatening injuries requiring an ambulance ride to the hospital, surgery, one week hospital stay, one week in a rehab facility and months of recovery. Fortunately, I called EA+ the day she was injured. EA+ immediately contacted the Dartmouth Hitchcock hospital in Lebanon, NH the day of the accident, spoke to Lynne's case manager, then monitored her progress throughout the ordeal. After 2 weeks of hospitalization and rehab, EA+ paid for the cost of our flights home from Manchester, NH to Colorado, paid for our overnight hotel stay in Chicago during layover there, paid for shipping our personal goods home, paid for one week of my hotel stay while Lynne was in the hospital, hired a driver who returned our car to Colorado, and kept in contact with me to make sure all services were performed properly and timely. We are forever grateful to EA+ for the attention given to us in our extreme time of need.

    I have had EA+ since 2021, never expecting to use it, but in 2022, when my fiance and I went to Mexico to get married 2 days before the wedding he suddenly had a blood clot that went to his heart, and died immediately. Besides the anguish I was in I had to spend the whole next day at the funeral home having his body cremated so that I could take him home with me. When it was all said and done they covered the doctor's expenses, the ambulance from the resort to the funeral home, the cremation, the urn, and all of the paperwork in Spanish and English so that I could bring him back with me. I will never travel without them again.

    My husband, J**, and I were on the last leg of our 4-month world cruise. We were visiting Cadiz Spain before crossing the Atlantic back to Fort Lauderdale. We were celebrating our adventure with friends at dinner, when Jim said he did not feel good and decided to go to Medical Dept on the ship. I check on Jim after dinner and was told we were to be disembarked in Cadiz early the next morning. Jim's heart was racing. It was his first AFib attack. I wondered what I needed to do. Jim was heavily medicated and in no condition to help me figure out what needed doing.
    Holland staff let me use ship telephone to call Emergency Assistance Plus. The next morning, Jim and I were transported by ambulance to a small hospital in Cadiz Spain.
    The hospital in Cadiz was small and English was limited. I called EA+ and reported our situation. EA+ assured us they would help us communicate with hospital staff and get us back to our home in Phoenix, AZ. EA+ kept their promise. I spoke with EA+ staff daily with updates of Jim's condition. After 4 days in Cadiz hospital (fortunately I spent the nights with Jim in hospital), Jim was discharged.
    EA+ arranged cab to hotel in Cadiz in preparation for next day flight to Phoenix . EA+ arranged for transport to airport and flight home. EA+ paid for everything. I do not want to think about the problems we would have faced without EA+
    We are grateful for EA+. I never want to be without EA+ protection, therefore I schedule annual automatic payment. I have referred others to EA+. I am glad to have the opportunity to talk about EA+. EA+ provides exceptional service.

    Playing Pickleball on a cruise ship I fell and broke my hip. I was taking off the ship in the first port, which was Tortola.
    I was flown back from the hospital in Tortola by EA+ to Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida. I was operated on early the next morning, which was January 9. I had to have a second operation two months later. When I left the ship in Tortola, that was the last time I saw my boyfriend, Tom Wywrot, till after my surgery on the ninth. Because of Covid, he was never allowed into the hospital. He had to stay in a hotel that was close by.
    I will forever be indebted to EA+ for transporting me from Tortola BVI to Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater Florida. I will also be indebted to EA+ for booking a flight for T** ****** to travel from Tortola to Fort Lauderdale to pick up our car. I was so grateful for the continual updates provided by EA+. Everyone was so wonderful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. With sincere appreciation, F*** **********.

    After our cruise, I tested positive for Covid, four days later I was admitted to Prague hospital for bacterial pneumonia; discharged 11 days later but still needed oxygen.
    Since I required oxygen, EA+ sent a U.S. travel nurse to accompany us home; given that specific scenario, EA+ flew us home First Class, and Nurse G*** navigated the airports, customs, etc. very professionally (not his first rodeo!); much appreciated. I’ve recommended EA+ to all my friends who travel.

    My wife fell ill on a sea cruise and had to be hospitalized in Bermuda for a week with blood clots in her lungs. Upon discharge, the cardiologist required a 10 day stay before she could fly. EA+ arranged hotel accommodation for my wife and myself in Bermuda for 10 days, then transport to the airport and business class flights back to Indiana and transport to our residence. All the journey we were accompanied by nurse Walter - who flew to Bermuda from the USA - who continually checked on my wife's well-being through the whole journey, including a final health check at our Indiana residence. Contact with EA+ representatives over the telephone throughout was nothing short of excellent (especially with John ?) and the whole process was handled efficiently, professionally and smoothly. Thank you EA+.
