Beware! Albert Management: A Nightmare for Homeowners If you're looking for a property management company that will turn your HOA into a warzone, look no further than Albert Management. Here's what you can expect:Shady Practices: Forget transparency. Albert Management seems to operate on a "need to know" basis, where homeowners never get to know anything. They've been accused of using Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) with board members, which is a huge red flag.Communication Black Hole: Getting a straight answer out of Albert Management is like pulling teeth. They'll leave you frustrated and in the dark about important issues affecting your community.Boardroom/Online Brawls: Their lack of communication and questionable tactics are a recipe for disaster. Get ready for endless board meetings filled with angry residents and finger-pointing.Save yourself the stress and stay far away from Albert Management! They might say they're the "premier real estate asset management partner," but in reality, they seem more like a liability than an asset. Here are some additional tips:Talk to other homeowners in your community. See what their experiences with Albert Management have been like. When I posed a problem I had with them I received approx. 20 or more people who had problems with them. Two or more delt with the same problem.Do your research! Look for reviews online and check with the Better Business Bureau Don't let Albert Management turn your dream home into a living nightmare. Choose a property management company that works for you, not against you.

This Albert Management Company has made our HOA Board members sign NDA's which is highly questionable, and likely illegal. This has all the homeowners alarmed! The Board is supposed to have the homeowner's best interest at heart, Persuant to civil code 5200 homeowners have the right to inspect all information and contracts. Shame on you Albert Management, Inc.!!!!!

      Dear **********************:

HOA board members have a fiduciary duty to the Corporation and its members.  Board members are often privy to highly confidential and sensitive information including, but not limited to, delinquent owner accounts (monies owed to the Association), member discipline, contract formation, vendor pricing, employee discipline, etc.  It is a best practice for ***'s to request their board members to comply with a Code of Conduct which outlines a board member's responsibility and expectations for professional behavior while representing the Corporation. The ******************************* (a leading authority) provides a best in class example of a good Code of Conduct document here: ************************************************************************************************************ HOA board members to agree to a Code of Conduct is not questionable, nor illegal.

********** Mutual Benefit Corporations also use Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA's) to help protect sensitive information when shared with HOA committee members.  This is a best practice, and is not illegal. If our clients choose to ask their committee members or board members to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement, the document is been prepared by an HOA attorney.  Albert Management has never "made" anyone sign a legal and lawful document. Asking HOA volunteers to sign an NDA is not questionable, nor illegal.

CA Civil Code 5200 defines an Association record and what records are subject to inspection by its members.  Here is a helpful link for you so you know what specifically is subject to inspection: **************************************************************************.
