    I am writing to bring to your attention a serious matter involving a hotel that has breached its contract with me as a paying customer.

    On June 16, 2022 I successfully booked one hotel room with two queen beds at Quality Inn Palm Springs Downtown (*** * ****** ****** *** **** ******** ** *****). On Dec 30, 2022 I received an email from the manager stating my reservation was cancelled. There was no valid reason attached. To make matters worse, I have discovered that the rate for the same room for the same four-night period has increased significantly, from $1,026.95 to $19,579.50.

    I made a fully paid reservation for a hotel room, with a clear cancellation policy of no cancellations, changes, or refunds upon successful booking of my room, which I agreed to. The Hotel also had a guarantee since my reservation was pre-paid and had a non-cancellable rate plan. “Once your reservation is confirmed, cancellations or changes are not allowed (including changes to the guest's information). No refunds or credits for early departure, cancellation or no-show. It requires full pre-payment for the entire stay and is fully non-refundable.” Despite this, my reservation was cancelled without any prior notice or explanation, and without offering any form of compensation or alternative arrangement.

    This behavior is unacceptable and constitutes a breach of contract by the hotel. As a consumer, I expect and deserve to have my reservations honored and respected in accordance with the hotel's established policies.

    I would appreciate your immediate attention to this matter and any steps you can take to rectify the situation and to prevent similar incidents in the future.
