September 1, 2022. My car was reposses by Sterling Asset Recovery, Inc. On September 2,2022 having paid the fees to collect my vehicle I was told I had to pay an egregious extra fee of $350 in cash with no receipt for receiving my car "after hours." Upon receiving my car I noticed the driver side door had markings and was not closing properly as if it was pried open to gain access to the interior. I mentioned this to the employee who handed my my vehicle *********** who admitted it was their instructions to open the vehicles and remove liquids and other flammable objects from the vehicles. I provided pictures and descriptions of the damages to Sterling and they do not accept responsibility simply saying they do not have to provide proof of not making damages and that they do not open the driver side but rather the passenger door. This contradicts their employee's word of admittance of having damaged my door and I expect payment for the damaged door.

The customer was provided an option to pay an additional fee to get his vehicle back after hours or wait for the next available regular appointment at no additional cost. He chose the former so for him to complain about it now is ridiculous.

As explained to him previously, we did not damage his car and he has provided precisely no proof that we did damage the vehicle in any way, shape or form.

In my vehicle (vin #******) that was picked up yesterday there was an envelope that had about $800 ($100 bills) in it from*********** paycheck along with the pay stub and receipt from *********** that showed he not only cashed his check but also received $20 in rolled coins. They were 50 cent pieces that. He left the envelope in the sun visor above the drivers seat and the coins in the arm rest. When we arrived for the scheduled appointment we had checked in and were told that everything was received from the car and that the envelope was put in the safe and was only accessible by ******* and the gentleman that checked us in. When we received the belongings from the vehicle at the gate we had checked immediately that the money and our things were there. We instantly noticed that the $20 (in 50 cent) coins weren't there and that $300 ( 3 $100 bills) were missing as well and notified the gentleman at the gate and he knew that the paystub was also in the envelope. He said that he would check to see if he had missed anything in the vehicle because he had done so from time to time before then. He told us that there was nothing in the vehicle and that we could speak with his boss ******* and she'd give us further information to make a complaint. After he had called ******* I confirmed the number and extension and called as soon as I was home right after. And eventually spoke with her and she gave me an email to fill out a complaint to receive the money that was taken. I have uploaded a photo below of the remaining funds as well as the paystub and receipt from the bank. I hope to get this whole thing resolved and get back the remaining funds that were not received.

We found an envenlope with $600 cash, a bank receipt and a check stub. $600 was in all $100 bills and it was stored in our safe. During the property redemption appointment ********** of the registered owner who is the driver of the vehicle claimed it looked about $200 short and that there were 2 rolls of 50 cent pieces missing. When ************ she called us to complain, she mentioned that there was $300 missing. Registered owner continues to be indecisive on whether there is $300 missing or $200 missing. The photo she provided has $400, which would imply $400 is missing, so she has discrepancies all over the board. Bottom line is we returned all the cash that was in the car and did not find any coins.

We investigated this claim already and there is no evidence whatsoever that a gold rolex (or any watch for that matter) was in the vehicle. We spoke to the police about thus and advised them as well. There is nothing for us to do on this claim.

On 08/14/22 around 10PM my car was towed from my front yard. I come out and ask the gentlemen the reason my car was being towed, and politely asked if he had some type of documentation to show the reason he was towing my vehicle. He gave a brief explanation in arrogant fashion. I did not argue any further although he did not show me any document or paper work as I knew I was behind on my monthly obligation.

The Gentlemen scratched my rim with a metal and damaged my front bumper with the rod he was trying to put under my vehicle.

I have now recovered my car and it has a scratch rim, dent bumper, and scratch on the side.

I look for nothing further just for my car to be fixed by an approved *********** professional such as ******

the claim is utter nonsense. the claimant showed us a video of the repossession and at no time did we scratch or damage any part of the vehicle. we have already denied his absurd claim and we're still denying it

The chase is not resolved here is a file with the issue

    Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2022/10/07) */
There is nothing for us to comment further on. The claim is absurd, we did not damage his car in any way, shape or form and the video evidence he provided does not show us damaging the car at all. Dollies do not touch the wheel nor the bumper. This claim has been denied (multiple times) and will remain denied absent any actual evidence we damaged the car (and since there is none b/c we didn't damage the car, it will stay denied).
