The worst, I complete e visit for swelling tonsils something that I have been dealing with since I was a child, after wasting my time I get recommended to call and speak to a nurse, I called and i get advice to go in to urgent care asap. I’m telling the nurse it’s my tonsils and I know this because I deal with it since I have memory and I get told she can’t prescribe any medication. What’s the point of wasting my time when they won’t listen? I should of left Kaiser a few years ago when I was given a false positive test that almost destroyed my family.

Kaiser is great only if you never get sick. It could be months just to see your primary care physician, which they require you to do if you need any kind of referral, which themselves take even longer to get. Took over six months to get seen for severe pain in my hand, at which point it was so bad I needed surgery. It should be a crime to so thoroughly ***** their duty of care.

Impossible to make an appointment with my primary care doctor for my "wellness" physical exam. Called to make an appointment, but was told that no appointments could be made and that a message would be sent to the ****************** and I would hear from them. Next was a "letter" asking me to call to make the appointment, but when I call I am told that all they can do is send yet another message to the doctor's ****** and that someone will get back to me! Ridiculous. Over a week of waiting and still no one has responded.

I have been a Kaiser member since childhood. Other than routine procedures such as ingrown toenails, possible infection, or general questions kaiser's actions have followed their historical "delay until they go away" policy which left my father walking out of an emergency room with a head injury as a child because they waited hours without care. December 22nd of 2020 I Injured my shoulder, neck and back in a way that left me with excruciating pain. The more it became obvious my problem could not be fixed with pills, sparce physical therapy, or blaming my mental health, the less Kaiser attempted to treat me and my quality of care became worse.

After nearly two years of different doctors, different conservative treatments, and pills Kaiser finally through me into contact with a surgeon late December 2021. This surgeon offered a spinal fusion within the next couple months, answered my questions, and then disappeared. After filing a complaint this surgeons scheduler promptly gave me a last minute cancellation appointment for Feb 16th, 2022 with only two days notice for this operation. Either the scheduler or Surgeon failed to provide any preoperative consultation for me prior to going in. This is important because Kaiser themselves provides me with Ibuprofen. Something I would learn from a nurse while wearing compression bandages in a hospital bed is taking Ibuprofen during or around surgery time can create bleeding risk. My operation was canceled that day and not re-scheduled until I filed a complaint and made a public review of the surgeon. It was on schedule until 13 day prior to the next date *************** MD called me unscheduled to attempt an interrogation on me about my online review. He then canceled my surgery, made legal threats, and hung up. Kaiser's grievance department is okay with this behavior according to my complaint

I have had a cough for over 3 years. In order to see specialists you have to go through your GP, which are essentially glorified administrators. I have seen a pulmonologist (via zoom), an allergist (via zoom) not sure how anyone diagnoses anything over a virtual platform. For over a year I have been trying to make an appointment with the lung function testing place in Roseville (which always has a full voicemail) because my new doctor will not allow me to see any other specialists until I have this test. In order to get this test, however, I have to drive 30 minutes to get a covid test done by the facility providing the lung function test (for some reason I can't get it done at the Kaiser that is closest to me, even though they are an HMO), after that, I wait 3 days and then drive the 30 minutes again for a 5 minute lung function test (but that's if they ever get back to anyone since their voicemails are full).

I am on my third doctor now (as the other 2 doctors only kept pushing loads of medication on me which caused other problems that I never had before!!). I have requested from each doctor to see an Ear Nose and Throat doctor and none of them will refer me!! I pay over $24,000 a year (that's just our portion, not employers portion) for insurance which apparently Kaiser considers a donation since they provide NOTHING in return! Kaiser is great until you have an actual problem, then they have no idea what to do as they are all just overpaid administrators checking off the HMO boxes at this point.

I should receive all of my premiums back for Kaiser not providing any services.
