Cross-Check refused to approve my check payment for car repairs. Credit card payments have a 3% processing fee, so it would cost me $40-50 fees to use a credit card. The manager finally did accept my payment as I insisted my check was good. When I received my report from Cross-Check it said it "has no negative data" regarding me or my payment history. They just "decided not to bear the risk...based solely on industry parameters." I could understand if I was applying for a loan, but I was using my own money from my own bank. NOT OK.

Please note that CrossCheck takes all consumer complaints seriously and has commenced an investigation into the matter.
CrossCheck notes that it responded to consumers previous inquiries and advised the consumer that the final decision to accept or reject any payment transaction rests solely with the merchant. Here, per the consumer, the merchant did ultimately accept the consumers payment transaction. Nevertheless, CrossCheck would like to apologize to the consumer for any inconvenience.

1 starHorrible. Finally got a letter from them 10 months later that their database was hacked and all their customer's PPI was exposed. I was victim of identity theft where the perpetrator forged multiple fake checks. Would have been nice if Cross Check would have informed me earlier so that I could have taken action to prevent this from happening. Now they are offering 12 months of credit monitoring, what a bunch of baloney. Zero accountability and zero repercussions. Crooked Cross Check should be out of business.Review fromAshley B

We had service for 10 days with this company as I used them for my wedding clients and I had one bounce check by one of my clients, and they terminated my account the same day, but still proceeded to try to charge my client on their bank account after canceling our account. ********************* from Crosscheck is one of the worst account managers out there and I regrettably never want account with this company ever again. I would highly advise any business in anyone to seek check guarantees Services elsewhere as their check guarantee is a never guarantee because they wont even honor the check that they told me was gonna be guaranteed. CrossCheck has reviewed the matter and conducted an investigation of the issues raised in the review. As the business was informed, the check item mentioned in the review that the business submitted to CrossCheck did not conform to the requirements for processing. After being notified of the issue, the business attempted to resubmit the same non-compliant item several times and on different dates. In this regard, the business has not complied with the terms of service.
