      I've been paying a premium all year and I'm not eligible until the last month of the calendar year. At the point, I will no longer be with my employer and will be unable to use my vision benefits. Vsp is such a scam. Find alternative ways to get vision care

      Buyer beware!!!! I got this insurance when I had a job that didn't provide vision. I have since started a new job but they will not let me cancel. Claiming because I used the insurance I now have to pay for 2 years of insurance. It was bad enough when they said I had to pay for a year but ok I did use it and a year would cover what was paid out. Then when I called to cancel this week they said it would another year. Insane they are allowed to do business this way!

      DO NOT SIGN WITH THIS COMPANY..........BEWARE of SCAM.. Completely Misleading in their capturing of clients, They do not specify the term of the service provided. WILL NOT let you CANCEL POLICY for any reason. INCLUDING DEALTH, UNEMPLOYMENT, or ************** issued policy.. This company is a RIP-OFF!!!Very UNETHICAL !!!!!!!

      I spoke with a customer ********************** representative via phone and was instructed to email my request for immediate cancellation. I received an email stating the account will be closed on 12/1/2024. So basically theyll continue charging my account for the next 10 months. All I want is to have the account closed and not continue being charged!

      Refused me my lens benefit and accused me of insurance fraud because my optometrist made a mistake.

      Absolutely the worst customer ********************** and completely unethical. At the end of this year, they opened not one, but two new VSP plans for me (mind you, I am one person), and then they billed me for all three. I call VSP daily to have two of the plans cancelled, but it never happens. I'm told 'it's the holidays and we are short staffed.' They had no problem finding staff to triple bill me. I wish there was another company that offered vision insurance, as this place is the absolute worst. Buyer Beware!

      The cost vs the service is unethical. I was quoted $60 for a contact fitting although i am eligible for a contact exam yearly. I was sent to a student center who had to reevaluate my prescription several times. The allowance for glasses is not worth paying a monthly premium and still paying a hefty amount through their partners. The fees are high, the discounts are ****. Save your money and pay for 1 year exam through Americas Best or more consumer friendly companies.

      I paid for the premium plan and have not been able to use it. I have been unsuccessful at logging in to the website and I have been unable to use my benefits. I tried to purchase glasses on line and received a message that I had used my allowance. I just purchased the policy in October and have had nothing but headaches. I reached out to the customer **********************, but they were unable to correct the issues. My last attempt to call them was disconnected. I am out $330 and they will not refund my money. I would not recommend using this company as they are not reputable.

      I moved across the country and have signed up for new healthcare, dental and vision. VSP was my previous provider for vision and when I called them to cancel they said that I was locked into their policy for a year. I don't need two vision policy's and it was cheaper with my new coverage. They said because I had service provided (my annual exam) that I am locked into my policy. How a company like this is allowed to continue doing business is par for 2023 but sub par for what a consumer should have to have to waste time on. WHOEVER READS THIS, I would encourage you to read the rest of the reviews as well and see that this is another company of clowns and thieves. I will report this to the state as well so hopefully changes are made so others aren't being robbed. Here is the email they sent declining to cancel my policy:In response to your request for cancellation, your VSP Individual Vision Plan coverage will be discontinued at your renewal date, effective 01/01/2024, per your annual policy term.Our records show that you've received plan benefits during the current policy period. Because you elected the monthly payment option for your annual policy, you're required to make all 12 payments regardless of when plan benefits are utilized.Remember, you can get extra discounts and savings during the remainder of your policy period, like 20% off additional pairs of glasses from your VSP network doctor and rebates on popular contact lens brands. See all of your Exclusive Member Extras from VSP and other leading industry brands.We look forward to continuing to provide you with the best vision care and service available.

      I recently bought a Flexon 626 eyeglasses online from a non-VSP provider for $82 (including taxes and shipping). My VSP coverage provides $200 for eyeglasses.VSP reimbursed me for $75. The same glasses are available on eyeconic.com (a VSP-provider) and the glasses cost $220:********************************************************************************************************************************* VSP is a ripoff and seem to hike up the price of eyeglasses which are easily available elsewhere.I think that this is just a collusion between VSP and the VSP-providers.
