      Ive set up a gofundme account in order to raise money for funeral expenses. My brother tragically died in a fire and my mother lost everything she loved and owned. As everyone knows funeral expenses are costly and are needed UPFRONT. I have done EVERYTHING gofundme has requested several times in order for them to confirm my identity and banking information. I still cant access the funds and they are taking several days to respond. They make it almost impossible to access YOUR own money. BEWARE!!!!

      For context purposes, the gofundme page that I created for my loved one was deleted as it was no longer needed. I have attempted to request a refund to a donor at least twice. I was told on 1/19/25 that it will be responded to my donator, but as of 2/5/25 the donator has not received their money back. I sent an email asking for an update and why my donator had not received their money. No response to my email. They can't just keep someone's money. I am wondering how many times this has happens to others. For some reason Gofundme does not provide a contact number for customers to contact the company. This is unacceptable for a business. The email: ********************************** is not monitored. So there is no way to contact this company. Only fill out some form online. I need assistance getting those funds back please.

      Had a friend suggest to use GoFundMe after we ran out of heating fuel for the house. Was told it was the best way to get help from friends without having to ask each individual. Money was donated, and yet I can't touch it. They claimed that my account numbers were entered incorrectly. They was copied and pasted directly from my bank app. I get a red box on the gofundme page saying there was an issue on their end. I keep being told by their employee that it's on my banks end. I have sent them screenshots of what gofundme says, and pdfs with my direct deposit info like he asked for. He then proceeded to say he needed more info. So I sent more pdfs of bank statements from both my checking and credit accounts. I work full time, and yet it's not enough to pay for the fuel and keep my other bills paid off. It's currently 26 degrees outside and maybe 36 degrees inside my home. The fact that it's been over a week since I first reached out to them is crazy. Do they make more money in interest the longer the money sits in limbo? I thought GoFundMe was supposed to help people. Not s**** them over. I can't even imagine how they treat someone who's dealing with something worse than no heat. How's this even right to do to people?

      On approximately December 14, 2024, I set up a fundraiser on GoFundMe. Since that date, I have been trying to connect a bank account to withdraw money for donations. There was a system error validating my information. Since then, I have not been able to connect a bank account to withdraw the donations. The only way to communicate with someone from GoFundMe is through email. The person I have been communicating with via email responds after about two days. I should be getting interest on the money donated. Yet GoFundMe is getting interest on the money that people have donated. This seems like a scam. There is no way to connect a bank account and there is no way to withdraw the donations.

      GoFundMe's support options are unacceptable. There is no phone support. And there is no live chat support. The only support is through email. It looks like chat support is available. But I waited 17 hours (most during their documented business hours) and never got a response. This is totally unacceptable. Even the email support is poor. It takes two to three days to get a response. In my situation, the support team did not even inform me that I needed to take action on something. I happened to find out on my own. I will strongly encourage everyone I know to never use GoFundMe. I will never use GoFundMe again.

      There is nothing to accept or reject. This is a nothing response from GoFundMe. I dont think there is any agreement to come to. GoFundMes support is virtually non-existent, which seems unacceptable when they are holding your money and you have no way to get the money.

      I set up my gofundme on 01-09-2025 I have been trying to get my transfer set up on my account and have gotten nowhere. Go fund me keep sending me to their bot Ray and keeps taking us through the same steps and not getting anywhere. These funds are needed to help our community. We have sent videos andpictures of us in *********** Star KCT5 and Fox four news to give them proof of helping the community and still have have not gottenthis resolved. Every time we talk to somebody, they say something about we need they need. We need to answer three questions something like how are the funds gonna be spent? What are the funsgonna go and how do we know?

      My friend created a gofundme for me in January 2025. I have stage 3 rectal cancer and I have been unable to work and provide finances. Thanks to the generosity of my friends gofundme collected several thousand dollars for me and my family. This is great and would be incredibly helpful to me. The nightmare comes with having to verify the bank account information using their payment processor. I have uploaded several documents to verify the account, several times, in the last two weeks. Still the account won't verify and the funds remain locked in Gofundme's control. Gofundme has offered zero support beyond an AI chatbot. Gofundme has been a huge disappointment for me and my family. We are desperate for the funding and have been victimized by the red tape and the hoops we have to jump through to get the money. We still do not have the money. This is scam, plain and simple.

      I conducted a go fund me for a personal emergency and when I initially set up my banking details for transfers it worked. However, i accidentally removed the details and had to re add my bank information. I used to same information and the same documents as I did originally but it now said it failed verification. Support is only through an AI bot chat who will get you to an agent eventually after answering multiple questions, it takes a while for the agents to reply and theres no way of knowing what number youre in in line. Just to be told that my case will be escaped but I still have to wait 2-5 business days for verification to go through then another few days for my transfer to hit my account. I was pleased with the 2 agents who helped so in no way am I upset with them, however for an emergency situation this doesnt really help and not to mention its like you dont have rights to your funds until a processor gets to it and even the agents dont have time frame for that. You dont get your full donation. Go fund me keeps a few bucks for transfers. $50 was first raised and only $48 was transferred to my account.

      Theres no fee to start or manage your fundraiser. However, to help us operate safely and securely, one small transaction fee per donation (2.9% + $0.30, which includes debit and credit charges) per donation will be deducted.

      I know it can be unexpected when you're asked to complete these verification steps, even after youve already set up bank transfers. When this happens, its because additional documentation is needed by our payment processor to support the continued safety of your funds. In this case, we needed a bank document. Once uploaded, bank document reviews generally take 1 to 3 business days. Due to processing times, transfers can take 2-5 business days to reach the bank account once sent out.

      If you don't receive the last transfer by the 5th business day, please let us know and we can assist further.

      We started this GoFundMe for my brother he will be out of work for the months to come and will need help with paying his bills.       I opened a funding campaign last week, poured all my heart and effort into its description and its video. Then I realized next day that the campaign was closed with a meaningless email notification. The campaign is very important to me. I tried to contact them via chat many times but all I get is just "they will email you soon". The worst part is I might miss my time window, and lost all of the work I've done.

      We also refunded any donations to your fundraiser that you hadnt transferred yet, so those donors will receive their money back within the next 3-7 business days.

      While we cant share the specific reasons for this action, if you believe this decision was made in error and youre willing to provide us with more information about yourself and your fundraiser, please reply to the email that was sent to you on January 28, 2025, requesting additional information. If a response is not received to that email, the account will remain closed.

      GoFundMe is complicit in allowing scammers who were instructed by the attorney general to NOT solicit funds from public for fraud and refuses to take action. They have received evidence of letters from attorney general etc on a certain individual using their platform to perform death by fraud on their platform. Their compliance company has also been contacted and for two weeks they have done. Absolutely nothing.Nothing has been done meanwhile this individual is continuing to scam almost $10,000 by using GoFundMe and GoFundMe is fully aware of this which means they are getting money under fraudulent purposes under their nonprofit and not doing anything about it Bottom line, they are receiving funds of theft by fraud since they take a percentage of the GoFundMe account This is not only morally unethical. It is illegal.

      I am writing my response to GoFundMe and their answer to my complaint   


      Your internal investigation was incorrect as the Attorney General has told this individual they cannot raise money for their rescue because they are not registered and they are not allowed to collect a single dollar. **** ****** has listed on his GoFundMe that his fundraiser is strictly to move his rescue facility, which is a violation of what the Attorney General has already given him a letter in regards to .


      This man is not allowed to collect donations publicly for a rescue that does not exist per the attorney general!!




      He has scammed over $9000 from the general public and he never moved and is still in that residence, which makes the entire fundraiser fraudulent. Therefore GoFundMe is complicit in this fraudulent fundraiser and made $3000 off of the money that was collected under fraudulent pretenses.  


      I submitted documents and evidence to substantiate the complaint, which you then intern never emailed me back, never called and all I get is a bot to respond to me, which is ridiculous. I will not close this complaint until something is done, and that fundraiser is taken down, suspended and money returned to the donors.
