This company keeps sending me a text message stating that I need to update my bank account and that my bank account has been unlinked. The message includes a link. Today I received another message and messaged "STOP". The scary part is, I have never had any business with this organization why are they sending me a link to update my bank account information. Smells like a SCAM. I have attached a screen shot of the text messages in this complaint.Business Response

I wanted to speak to someone about the interest on the loan. Every time I go to apply payment the balance did not go down it went up. When I spoke to one of the associates over the phone she had mentioned there was a daily fee. I asked her to please provide me with a breakdown or amount of the daily fee she told me to log in online and get it. I logged in and there is no daily fee they are just charging what they want. I tried to reach out several times to get documentation of the daily fee and havent gotten anything as of yet explaining this extra $1000.00 I have paid. I believe the original apr went up as well. I need them to provide proof of the daily fee or adjust my loan that I just paid off.Business Response

Ive been dealing with a cancer diagnosis since March and had surgery in April and have been trying to recover from that. I got a letter in the mail recently saying my account was closed due to inactivity. I paid off my card in March so while dealing with my cancer, I didnt use the card and now Im being punished for being sick by them closing my account? This is unacceptable to me as I was a good cardholder and always paid on time and even got a recent credit limit increase! This is not good business to treat cardholders like this, Ive been calling for the last week to try to speak to a manager and keep being told my account is in review. I called today and was told it cant be reopened. So this is how you treat someone whos dealing with a serious health issue?? Shame on you!! This company is a joke and doesnt care at all about their cardholders, stay away from this company!!Business Response

As a loyal customer of **********************, I have appreciated the accessibility and support your services have provided over the years. However, I must express my growing disappointment with the recent practices that I perceive as predatory. From the harassing phone calls, and not being flexible in providing proper repayment options and plus the escalating interest rates and hidden fees included below have placed an undue financial burden on me, eroding the trust I once had in your company. I urge you to reevaluate these practices to maintain the integrity of your brand and the loyalty of your customers, who rely on your service for fair and transparent financial assistance. Hi, I requested a transfer of funds ($600.26) from my Oportun account to my **** of America account. ********************** sent the funds to a closed account ending in 4173. Since the account was closed **** of America returned all credits to Oportun. As of right now, only a partial amount of the original money ($401.09), is reflected in the Oportun Account. There is a total of $199.17 missing (in 3 separate transactions);$177.53 - Household Items Acct $13.59 - Mics Acct $8.05 - Kadrielle **** of America confirmed and provided a closed account bank statement showing that these three transactions do not reflect and money was never posted. I sent a copy of the bank statement to Oportun to let them know that I do not have the money and that there is no money in "Pending" status. I've been sending them emails for about 3 weeks now trying to obtain a direct answer as to where is the$199.17. In every email, they disregard the $199.17 amount and say that everything was returned and that $401.09 is what I have in the account. At this point, I am not sure how else to communicate with them and try to get my savings back. I trust that you guys can assist with this matter and help me get a fair resolution. I have attached all email threads with Oportun, bank statements from BOA and Oportun. Also the only two withdrawal email confirmations from Oportun. I mailed certified mail a notice requesting my Disclosure Pursuant 15 USC 6802(b) you have failed to provide me with the required disclosures as per federal law. The law is explicitly clear that before a financial institution discloses any consumers non public person information they must give the consumer 3 disclosures so the consumer has an opportunity to opt out of having their information reported. I had a debt under my name with oportun and was sent to collections I paid and resolved the account. I asked for them to delete it from my credit report they said to contact the company they sold it to. I told them that makes no sense that the inquiry I have is with them under there name. They insisted I call pkm collection. I asked to speak to a manager they refused to transfer me to one and was very rude to me just repeating i no longer have a account with them. So I called the collection company and even they told me only company that can request a removal is the company that it is under there name. I called back opertun again same thing very rude and refused to transfer me to a manager or even help me at all. Even told them the reason I need it removed. Needing a clear credit report to be able to rent a apt already been denied I don't want to be homeless and companies not willing to help you even though you paid ******* to resolve the account just are heartless. No need for them to be mean and rude either. Bad business in my opinion. I would like this to be removed from my credit report because they refused to acknowledge the fact I have a account with them and why should it be on my report if I no longer have a contract with them there words not mine. Also because I also paid ******* to resolve the account and both companies have the same account on my credit report.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I believe the purpose of sending someone to collections is to collect. In witch it was collected I paid the collection agency. So that would mean you get the money from them or you have sold it to the collections agency. So in fact written off or not you received or will receive payment for the loan in witch the debt was and is settled. So I don't see any reason for you to have this on my credit report. Since I Paid the loan. Weather I payed it on time or not I still paid witch means I shouldn't be either chanced to paid as agreed or taken off. I would not recommend your company to anyone after this because even though a person can do the right thing and eventually pay a loan even late you still hold then back by reporting ***** pretext considering i did pay as agreed to the collection agency.
