    This document serves as a formal complaint against Genie Car Wash regarding scratch damage to my vehicle's rear bumper sustained during a car wash service.Between 11AM to 11:30AM on June 7, 2025, I utilized the car wash system at Genie Car Wash, located at ************************************************************************************************************************************. During the washing process, the rear bumper of my car, a 2021 white Tesla Model 3 Performance, was scratched by the car behind me. The damage is not big but deep. I have pictures uploaded for your information. I noticed the damage on Tuesday and upon discovering the damage, I promptly contacted the manager of Genie Car Wash to discuss the issue. Despite my explanation and the clear video recording evidence of the damage, the manager denied any responsibility for the incident, asserting I should contact the car behind me for responsibility and their car wash system has no fault. He said I should have driven the car out instead of letting it freely row. However it is clearly wrong because: My car was moving back at the time point, and the light signal that usually tells drivers to start driving did not turn green and also the red light says Do not Brake. I would assume stepping on brakes and changing to drive mode from Neutral would damage their car wash system. I have the full video evidence of this crash that was caused by their car wash system and uploaded it to ******* . The manager says he can help you repaint the damage, and tried to use a pen to paint the damage. It is no small harm that a pen can help. It has a deep cut into the paint and will need work more than that. I refused the option. I am hereby filing this formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau to address the damages incurred and the lack of accountability from Genie Car Wash. I request a thorough investigation into this matter and a fair resolution to compensate for the damages to my vehicle.

    On May 19, 2025, I took my vehicle to Genie Car Wash in ***** (*****************). After the automatic wash, I discovered that my rear windshield wiper was missing.I reported the issue to staff immediately, they took my name and number, said they would look for it. I never heard from them. Several phone calls to them produced nothing further. I physically went to the location again, spoke with a manager, they asked me to file a written incident report, which I did. I never heard from them. Then after a few calls to them they said it was ************* reviews show similar complaints from other customers, suggesting this is a recurring issue.Desired Resolution:I am seeking reimbursement for the cost to replace the lost rear wiper. A public acknowledgment of the issue and improved handling procedures for vehicle parts would also be appreciated (and good for their business).

    On March 24th I visited Genie Car wash for the first time at the ******* location. I even purchased a monthly membership. I was happy with the service until I noticed the windshield wiper had been taped down with thick masking tape. Upon removal it stripped my paint completely off. I immediately called and left a voicemail. No response. I then visited in person the following day. An associate took pictures and my information. He was kind and assured me a manger would contact me whenever they came in. A week later nothing. I called again several times. No managers on duty until the following week. Left more voicemails and have received no call backs. I am very upset and need this addressed promptly. I had an estimate done and the amount would be $300 to repair the striped paint and prevent it from rusting.

    Went on September for car wash , employee offered me access to unlimited washes for 3 weeks if I pay for xtra $2 .I found out that they charged my credit card ***** on 10/24 although I did not use their service after the offer expired.It is recurring fee that I was not verbally informed about or did not receive any written notice About that .There has been several complaints about this business for the exact reason , this is deceiving and fraud .

    Thank you for reaching out regarding this matter.  We have safeguards in place in order to prevent any misunderstanding of how our membership works.  Aside from the on-site attendant being diligently trained to explain the recurring charge to customers, we also have 3 more pathways to ensuring that the customer is aware of the recurring charge: (1) The pay station that the customer must use provides a disclaimer of the recurring charge (2) the customers receipt states at the top I authorize Genie Car Wash to charge my credit card account $29.99 on a monthly basis . . . this automatic recharge authorization shall remain in force until I cancel before 7 days by visiting www.geniecarwash.com and (3) A large sign at the entrance of our wash tunnel that states that the customers credit or debit card is on a monthly recharge cycle.

     

    In regards to this specific case, we were not notified of the customers dissatisfaction or misunderstanding with the membership until we received a credit card dispute, which we accepted thus refunding the customer the $29.99 amount in question.  It is not our intention to deceive those that sign up for our membership and take all the necessary steps to make it as transparent as possible, as explained above.  We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and hope that our apology and refund may remedy this situation.
