I opened my home loan May 2014 with Mission Federal my payment principle and interest was est $2,500 in January 2018 I started paying est $5500 with the goal of paying the loan off early and saving on interest charges. When Covid hit in February 2020 Mission *** took full advantage of there members and offered a 3 month no payments and of course who wouldnt want that with the world closed down due to something we have never seen. They should have never offered it to me as I have been paying over double the original mortgage payment since January 2018 So now Im going to pay my home off and they are adding an extra $8000 for the 3 month deferment that makes no sense when I have been paying over double before and after. BEWARE of this company as they take full advantage of their members instead of helping and really explaining what the real offer is. Its unfortunate I even had to give them one star to post this message. If I could give them a -5 stars that still wouldnt be enough.Mission Federal Credit Union

During the pandemic, we offered a payment deferment program to offer relief to our members during a challenging time. While it provided flexibility by pausing payments, the deferred payments and interest were added to the loan balance, as outlined in the agreement.

Working with ************************* (***********************************************) at Mission Fed was AMAZING! I shopped a dozen places for mortgage rates, and **** was by far the most competitive. Beyond that, he was extremely responsive throughout the process, from discussing various loan options, to liaising with our real estate agent and a seller's real estate agent, to quarterbacking every aspect of underwriting, to seeing every detail through to the close of escrow. We originally had a 21 day escrow, and ended up closing in 17 days.Great rates, extremely responsive, trustworthy -- no-brainer to work with ****. This credit union absolutely ***** when it comnes to technology. I could not get a retirement account transferred to them because they had to do it on paper which cost me 6 weeks and I lost the good CD rate. When I complained, they tried to blame the other institutiuon.Then, today, I entered my password once incorrectly, and I cannot have a;ccess to my account for 24 hours because they are complete dunderheads using 1980's technology, and they are such Luddites they cannot figure any other way. I made 4 separate 4 phone calls, and nothing happened. I hate MFCU. I am fed up with the idiots who work there, and the *** should be fired. This is it!!!!Mission Federal Credit Union

I have never experienced worse customer service with a financial institution in my entire life than the MULTIPLE poor experiences at the ******** MFCU location. From the moment I set foot in their office to now has been issue after issue. All I wanted to do was apply for an auto loan with a pre-approval offer I was preselected for. They treated me like garbage because I didnt have an appointment and I was inconveniencing them. After barely being helped after waiting in the office for over 30 minutes, I was told to go home and make an appointment for a later time and bring back the necessary documents they needed. I did that we arrived five minutes early for our appointment yet again was forced to sit waiting over 40 minutes for an appointment with our two kids in ***. The day before they couldnt help me because appointments were prioritized yet we have an appointment and were not made a priority? Then that lady doesnt want to help us at all. My husband is so irritated he said were out lets go elsewhere. But because of the interest rate and $200 cash back offer I go speak to the manager. Were given someone else to work with and he is able to get the loan completed and funded. I asked multiple times about the cash back. We were ensured we would receive the $200 as a direct deposit 30 days after our first payment. Well we pay 30 days come and go and nothing. I call customer service told I have to speak to the bank. Email the banker we worked with. He says h*** follow up. Nothing! Over 6 weeks of calls and back and forth and THEN we have an assistant manager say we didnt qualify for the pre-approval?! FIVE MONTHS LATER is when were told we didnt qualify when we were told we did in the bank? Ummmm no! This is a complete bait and switch! We should have been told at the time of signing documents that we didnt qualify. We want to pay off our loan in full and be refunded all interest paid to this shady organization. I have had a terrific experience with Mission federal ********* for MANY years *********** at the Bank is good THE problem I have is GREAT difficulty to get a phone communication I am old and online communication can be exasperating Please HELPMission Federal Credit Union

1 starI walked into Mission Federal Credit Union in Clairemont ********* ** to ask about another Ira.I misplaced my very expensive glassed. I called their 1800 number. Got little to no help.Went back to ask if anyone had found my glasses. I was told they found a pair of glasses ,but the young lady couldn't find them. The General Manager claimed they found no glasses.They cost me a lot of money. Why are they not telling the truth?Review fromVivian C.

1 starI barely opened an account with this bank like three weeks ago. Really nice people working there Inside the branch. As for the call center I would say that that's a hundred percent negative. I got transferred multiple times. The reps are not very polite. No one seems to know what they're doing. Come to find out you can't transfer or pay out more than $500 dollars when you use zelle with them the first time or first few times. Then for 3 daya after that you can only zelle increments of $100. Thats their grace ****** policy. So if you just open the bank account and you plan to make your car payment or send money to somebody else more than $500. The first few times you're solely going to be mistaken.
