Business helps with water damage and charges for every possible cost, including ones that are spurious according to my home owner's insurance. Request is for over $10,000 on one claim that insurance is only willing to pay $5,500 for. So, basically, they try to charge double the price. They send me a bill for which I do not have the payout for; my insurance has already paid them the aforementioned $5,000. I tell them to speak to my HOA. Then, when they fail to collect their money, they threaten to put my case into collections. At that point, I reach out multiple times by phone and email and receive no response. I finally call them and confront them on this scam. Now I find out that the company entered the data incorrectly, making their request for funds and threat to take me to collections nonsense. So, what they demand from me is both incorrect and double the price and then don't respond to my calls/emails when threatened. What kind of business is this but one trying to profit off of my water damage. I would never work with this company again and would not recommend that others do so.

Plumber assigned, recommended Maxx Dry to assess the situation. While through the process, all seemed normal, we were not aware how they were invoicing the work they 'seemed' to be doing. We had some level of equipment 12/15/2023-1/8/2024. They decided when it was dry. They submitted their version of the invoice to insurance, sight unseen by us the home owners. Once we finally received a copy of the charges, the insurance claim had closed. It was clear that the entire invoice that was submitted to insurance was embellished or just flat out false. They made claims that they moved my 'gas' stove ****************** and reconnected it for $107, we don't own a gas stove and my electric ************** sits on the opposite side of the identified damaged area. Claimed on the invoice they detached my counter top- for added charge of $258 it was never touched. They charged us $314 to disconnect a dishwasher and reconnect it. They only disconnected it, and why would it cost $314 to unscrew a water line. There is a charge of $221 for an emergency call? No calls were made in an Emergency. They falsified the total sq. footage of my kitchen and garage where the damage occurred, which is a small galley style kitchen and only a small corner in my garage. **. footage was used to calculate supplies used. They claimed they moved me out of my garage and my kitchen $260. I did my OWN moving- we have many more examples with pictures. The initial invoice to insurance was for over $13K. Insurance only covered what they felt reasonable of $1300 so Maxx dry is now coming after us for the balance in which was falsely embellished. We then received an invoice (straight balance- no line items list) from an automated service asking us to pay $5.8K, then several days later we received another for $4.5K And because we have insisted they they re-review the invoice and the items that are clearly false and provide a corrected invoice, they instead sent us a notice of lien on our property for over $7K.
