Have you ever heard of "ambulance chasers?" Maxx Dry is an emergency plumbing call chaser. They seem to have an agreement with after hour plumbing services to call them for moisture remidiation. We had a drain stoppage at our kitchen sink. The sink cabinet bottom was wet. The plumber recommended calling for moisture damage services. Maxx Dry miraculously appeared within 10 minutes. Their "service tech" was a great salesman. He convinced us to file an insurance claim. He even offered to file the claim for us. The claim was filed and the circus began. Maxx Dry left a dehumidifier with us. They never monitored it. It was here for five days. We used it for two nights. We notified them that it was no longer needed. They picked it up 2 days later and charged for 6 days of use. They removed the sink base bottom shelf. Everything was bone dry. They cleaned up their mess and charged an exorbitant amount for detailed cleaning and disinfection. They submitted a ridiculously high bill to insurance. It was negotiated down to a level that was still not justified. And, on top of all that, The plumber we called charged over $700 for the repair. The drain they repaired leaks. We called them. They have not returned our calls. ****** learned: If you have a clogged sink in the evening, the water is just staying in the sink, and no water is running, don't call for emergency drain service during off hours. Call for help in the morning. If remediation services are needed, don't call Maxx Dry.

This company is horrible to work with. Their lack of communication and transparency are appalling. They began working under the assumption the work would be covered by my insurance. After my insurance company informed me that the issue would not be covered I requested multiple times for Maxx Dry to provide me an estimate for the project. They refused and kept changing their story on how the billing works. Absolute terrible customer service. This is your warning... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I am appalled and flabbergasted at the lack of transparency and the level of dishonesty this company operates at. *********** called Maxx Dry to assess for water damage because of a water heater leak. They rushed my husband with all these warnings about the urgency of the situation and coerced him into signing a work authorization agreement. Once they pulled our dry wall apart, they determined there was water damage. They staged a bunch of fans in that area, took a photo for evidence, and then removed the fans. The fans were never even plugged in since we don't have any electrical sockets in that area. They left a dehumidifier there for maybe a week and told us they would charge our home owner's insurance for their work. The bill for the insurance company came out to be around $6000 for very minimal amount of work. When we decided we didn't want to go through the insurance company, they reduced the bill down to $4000, which I still felt was an absurd amount of money. I had to call and email multiple times to get an itemized break down of the bill. Turns out they charged almost $1000 for those fans that were never used/plugged in and for 8 hours of work (which I am sure they were not there that long). And when I called them to explain these charges, they told me even if the fans were taken off the bill and the hours were reduced, we would still owe $4000. And apparently we are contractually obligated to pay this amount because that work authorization my husband signed also happened to be a contract that stated we had to pay them for whatever they decided to bill us. So even if the bill is arbitrary and not based on any of the items listed in the itemized receipt, we still have to pay it. Thank you **** Dry for teaching me this expensive ****** about the art of scamming. It has NOT been a pleasure dealing with your company and I hope we NEVER meet again. Have a nice life.

I want to leave a review of Maxx Dry as I feel that they are a dishonest company. *** was called by the plumber my home warranty company sent out after he discovered water damage in my cupboards. *** came and took over by calling a leak detection company that was awful. My insurance company had to call a better one. The whole process was not as I'd hoped it would be and not as smooth as I would have liked. The Pack-out company they called wasn't great, and I felt scammed by them, then the guys that came out from Maxx Dry came out and set up a containment area and did the water mitigation, only they didn't seal my ceiling vents so all of the bad particles, dust, dirt, and whatever is under and in your flooring and cupboards after 40 years is now in my air ducts. Unfortunately, I did not know that and turned my heater on for about 30 minutes before I realized what the problem was. Now my lungs are damaged, my ducts need to be cleaned, and I can't get a call back from Maxx Dry. Of course not. They got their $7,000. Don't use them.

They are charging me 3 days worth of equipment rental for 1 day of use.I texted employee that I no longer need their service and pick up their machine He said he will pick it up Monday with a bill of $318. He said its 106 a day and they dont work on wknds. He said that if I want it picked up on a wknd I would have to pay $350 + 106 for a days use of machine since wknd is overtime. So in short Im forced to pay $318 for something that I already cancelled.Their tech didnt even mention how it all works *********** preys on customers while theyre vulnerable and charge them an arm and leg and still try to make it look like they care for you.I would give them 0 stars if I can but BBB is so nice to give them a 1 star.

Not good and not honest.I'd highly recommend to avoid their service. My problem was exactly as described by other folks who put low rating here. They prefer to bill your insurance directly and as soon as they get money they lose any interest to you and forget all their promises. In my cases a couple of attorneys advised me to file a court case against them.If you still brave enough to deal with them, my advice is - force them to communicate in writing - text, email, whatever. They like talking on the phone but never make any promises in writing, so push them to do so.
