I purchased a hotel on August 28th through GovX member deals. The hotel was the *************** in ***********. I booked the dates September 6th to September 10th. I paid $680. However, the company Made an error and booked me for the wrong dates, the 4th to the 7th of September. After trying to adress this several times and they completely dismissed me and told me they couldn't give me a refund. Even though they made the error. I had to book another hotel for the correct dates and lose out on money. They refuse to help and contact me now. They keep saying that I booked the wrong dates, when I did not.Business Response

GovX is engaging in false advertising and price gouging. They advertise prices that are over double the cost of the actual event vendors. When questioned they tell you sorry too bad, that is your fault. The customer service representatives hang up on you/disconnect calls and tell you that they do not have a supervisor who you can talk to. I have requested they refund the difference of the event vendor being $127 when they charged me $216. I attached the vendor site and the one from GovX. Also, now you cannot even search and that event on GovX website. My issue is the false advertising on their website saying the tickets cost more than from the actual event itself.Business Response

I booked a hotel reservation at *********** in *****, ******* ** 9/ 15. Rez confirmation confirms I have until 9/12 to cancel. I need to cancel and all I get is referrals to in valid phone numbers or dropped calls. Contractor is fraudulent and a scammer. Hotel tried to engage and agreed. On 9/6/22,I purchased 5 tickets for an NFL game from MemberDeals.com. through GOVX. The tickets I purchased ended up being in an, “no alcohol section”, which wasn’t stated anywhere throughout buying process. I reached out to MemberDeals immediately and asked for exchange of equal value and they refused to help me resolve this matter. Issues such as an obstructed view, no alcohol section, etc… should be transparent when purchasing tickets for any venue, especially a venue whom sells and promotes alcohol throughout the property. A MemberDeal customer service representative actually asked me to help them out and sell my tickets so I can buy new tickets. I advised this representative that MemberDeals advertises, “Book with Confidence “. That statement is totally false. MemberDeals is not completely transparent with products they sell online and refuse to reconcile issues from which they omitted necessary information in error.Business Response

Just wanted to update on GOVX response. I’m appreciative of GOVX’s timely response, initially via email and then by phone on Thursday, 09/08. The representative from GOVX, advised me that they(GOVX) recognize the issue of, no alcohol section, not being transparent during the purchasing process.He stated they went through the process of purchasing a ticket themselves in my section to verify my claim and it confirmed my claim that, no alcohol section, is not being forthright during the ticket purchasing process with their partner ticket broker, MembersDeals. The representative advised me that GOVX will make this circumstance right by either a refund or exchange of tickets that are equal or greater value. The representative also asked if he could call me back on Monday, 09/12 with a resolution to this matter. My concern is I haven’t been contacted as of 09/13 and I wasn’t given any contact information to follow up on my end. Thank youBusiness Response

Booked a hotel through GovX and it routed to memberdeals.com. Even though I canceled within the given time frame to cancel and receive a FULL FREE refund [before 29 August 2022 11:59 PM (EDT)] they wanted to give me a credit voucher. When I called, they said they have to wait for refund approval from the hotel which could take 72 hours and the approval may not be given - it could be denied. I told them thats absurd because I was given a date and time to cancel by and did and now Im not receiving my full free refund as promised. The woman on the phone then started reading from a script saying that she can escalate the issue and give me a partial refund now but Ill have to pay the $192.07 late cancelation fee. She said I could later request to receive that money back and thats when I started to ****** and found similar stories of people going through the same exact situation and never receiving their full refund. She then gave me an option of calling the hotel and requested a written letter stating I can receive a full refund. I told her I dont have time to do that and I shouldnt have to based on your refund policy that was provided to me when booking and after booking via email. What ever you do avoid booking hotels through GovX - even if its cheaper. I cant believe they are doing this to Veterans and service members.Business Response

Date 7/26- purchased 3 tickets to *********************** from *************** (from the Travelzoo email that I receive). Confirmation email said tickets were attached. The tickets were not standard tickets (and this was never explained). They are barcode that changes every two minutes apparently to deter fraud. What was not disclosed at any point is that the tickets could not be put in your Apple wallet or separated in any way to give to a friend who would be arriving at a different time. It was not stated anywhere "all members of any party must arrive together". Spoke to customer service twice to request a refund as this was not explained at all. They admitted this was an experimental way to sell tickets and they expected issues and they felt I had a point BUT a third party had to determine if I would be given a refund. Naturally, they refused a refund without any explanation or acknowledgment of why they think they are in the right.Business Response

I will accept the response made by this business AFTER it has contacted me and resolved this issue to my satisfaction. I have already been put through the ringer by the company and subsequent mysterious third party and therefore do not feel anything will be resolved until my money is fully refunded.Business Response
