  Found this company on a ******** ad. Two people from Affordable *********************************************** came out on 12/22/24 to give us a proposal for a downstairs remodel. They were the first company we met with. We were advised to get a 3D design done and were told that were getting a discounted deal of $4,426 because designs as such cost around $7,000. After meeting with other companies who use the same design person, we found out he only charges $500-700 for each design. So Affordable *********************************************** lied. They also said theyd bring out someone to look at the project to figure out what walls can be removed etc. that never happened. Once they collected all the payments for the 3D design there has not been any effort to complete any work. We never got a proposal for the downstairs remodel project like we initially called the company and asked for. We were only given a proposal for the kitchen. They collected $4,426 for a 3D design of just the kitchen, giving customers no choice but to swallow that exorbitant fee but with no professional project proposal as an end result. They seem to scam customers.

  The individual who visited thier property primarily worked on the initial layout plan. However, the design process involved much more than just that step. Our office staff handled the rendering details, design meetings, and creative concepts to bring their project to life. Additionally, our team included a project manager who oversaw the execution, ensuring quality and alignment with their vision. These are all sets that cost the company money. 
  
  
  It's important to recognise that our pricing accounts for the collective effort of our designers, office staff, and project managers not just the initial layout work. We stand by our pricing structure as it reflects the time, expertise, and coordination required to deliver a successful project.

  This company sold us a $4426 design. We did not seek this. We contacted them for an estimate on a project. Again, they were the first company we met with, and they did not treat us well. They sold us a design and have not made any effort to continue with the project. They completed no work on our actual project and yet they've collected a large payment. We've had other contractors come to our home multiple times as well, and provided us with plans and detailed price estimates to actually bring our project to life, and we have paid them all $0. We even explained our situation to another contractor and he told us what Affordable Design and Remodel did was illegal. They told us that since they have not completed any work, they should not have collected any money yet. We are suckers and hope other people do not fall for this scam, we will help spread the word about this dirty business practice. It's not right what they did. Affordable Design and Remodel did not even make any effort to remedy this complaint. If they had design team meetings like they said they did, we were not involved in the process. There were lots of promises made, none delivered. They did not even provide an estimate on the project we want completed.

Our records clearly document that we held multiple meetings with the customer both with there assigned representative and with our design teamto discuss there project in depth. During these sessions, we reviewed design options, project details, and potential enhancements tailored to theres needs. We maintain detailed logs of all meetings and communications, which illustrate that the scope of work included extensive planning and consultation beyond what may have been initially perceived.
  We understand the importance of clarity and transparency in our services. Our comprehensive records can confirm the series of meetings and the specific discussions held, which cover the work involved in creating the $4,426 design package. These records are available for review, and we are more than willing to provide with a summary of these interactions to help clarify any misunderstandings.
  We stand firmly behind our work and our commitment to customer service. While we regret that you feel the process did not meet your expectations, we believe that our thorough design process, which includes regular meetings and detailed planning, is in line with industry best practices. We are dedicated to resolving any concerns and therefore we are willing to settle for a $500 refund for the customer. We have attached a portion of the rendering design and an email we have sent out with the bid. Showing that what the customer is saying is not accurate.
