Twice now I have used the companys services to do a name search or a reverse phone number searchI paid the $3.99 fee as required and this company submits and additional fee of $0.99 to my banka few days later it charges my account for ******* have no idea what any fee is beyond the $3.99 fee to use its servicesI opted out of the subscription for the one time search each time.Not only did I opt outthe information intellius provided was out of date by more than 5 years.I called the company numerous times to get a refundthey said they would give me a refund but what they did was try charging my credit card 33 transaction @ $3.99 each and two at $******** bank Clarity***** ***** shut off my card because they recognized a KNOWN FRAUDULENT transaction from INTELLIUSI spoke to the fraud department and they turned my card on later but refused all of the transactions with intellius for that day.The company has since refused to refund my money and is again pulling the same stunt with my most recent use of it services.This company is a scam who scam people into believing that they will be provided with accurate informationthis is false., a situation where people realy need to read its reviewsThis company uses false advertising and intentionally misrepresents and turns people into believing that they are only paying for a one time service and burying the subscription services into various other pages or steps one person need to complete prior to getting their information they requestCome on BBBactually try using the companys services and you will see its deceptive behaviordont just notify the company and actually stick up for consumers for once.I want a full refund of every dime Ive ever spent with this company and for bbb to give them the ** rating they deservedo your job BBBBusiness Response

I partially accept the businesses respond I/E returning my money
the business DOES NOT make it obvious to the consumer about the things they are signing up for or the charges they will receive.
that Much is obvious by its use of shifting pages and deceptive marketingif someone wants a reverse phone number search and pay $3.99 why is there a need to have them respond to 7 other pages., why not list everything on page ( 1 ).have them sign it then give the information they requested?
I will tell you why., because you want people to think that its the process to giving you the informationyou then hide the finalities in the terms of service were you know only a small fraction of society will actually look at them and then leave them surprised when they see charges of up to $59.99 a month on there credit cards
I mean this is literally the #1 complaint against this company and the SEC & BBB just let it go on and on and on WHYits against the law!

We prohibit the use of the website for any business purpose, which may include but is not limited to employment screening, tenant screening, or credit checks.
We care about the privacy of our consumers and their ability to personally control the display of their public data. Our Suppression Center, linked here, https://www.intelius.com/privacy-center/ allows them to limit the ability of other users to view their report while preventing others from abusing this function of the website.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the consumer has started that process. We require them to use the Suppression Center so that we can responsibly match their information with a corresponding record and validate their identity. This ensures that only the consumer has the ability to control the visibility of her information on our website.
Their request to remove the information from the Intelius website will be applied to the public data displayed on all search sites owned by PeopleConnect, including TruthFinder.com, Intelius.com, InstantCheckmate.com, and USSearch.com.

$40/mo Intelius clearly states unlimited amount of searches with no timeline restrictions. Last week while searching I was locked out of my account and shown this message, Your account is locked. Please call member care center at ************** to unlock your account. When I called the number, I was told that the account was flagged for overuse and that after we verify the account they would unlock the account within *******.
