      I have requested Intelius (+37 affiliates data broker websites with whom they share information) to opt me out of sharing and selling my personal data and Delete all my personal data with Intelius and their 37 affiliates. However, each attempt fails when I try to verify the code they sent me. I request confirmation my requests to opt out and delete my information from Intelius and all 37 affiliate data brokers is completed.

      My mom was once looking up the name of an owner of a certain phone number and payed intelius $0.95 for a week trial to check up the number, what my mom didn't realize is that if you don't cancel your trial with them they will set you up with a plan charging $38.05 a month, recently I was looking thru my moms bank statements and noticed she was paying a recurring payment to intelius totaling $1,141.50. I immediately called the company and they confirmed with me that only 1 search was made on their site and it was never used since however their policy is that they can only refund for up to 3 months although they agree the whole subscription was a mistake. I am requesting a full refund for $1,027.35 for an account that was never used.

      Customers are able to cancel online from within their account, through our Customer Phone Support, or by sending an email to [email protected]. After a thorough investigation, we have determined that no cancellation attempts were made through any of these channels.

      As a courtesy, we have cancelled all memberships and refunded Ms. ****** account six months of charges back to the payment option used to enroll, and no further charges will be incurred.       I understand that that is your policy, however there seems to have been a misunderstanding and my mom didn't realize she was subscribed as she told me she made a one time payment to you (proving she didn't realize it would subscribe automatically), I am kindly asking for a refund as for the fact that your company sustained no loss over the fact that she was subscribed since you admit that my mom has not benefited from your site other than that one time she made a search (this also proves that she did not understand that her $1 payment was more than a one time purchase). Above this there was no emails sent after that one time confirming any other transactions letting her know that you were charging $38.05 a month or providing a simple way to unsubscribe, and I only caught this now when I was looking over my mom's banking statements. I am therefore requesting a one time exception for a refund instead of you taking advantage of an elderly woman who hasn't realized she was paying you anything, and certainly caused you no harm.

      Upon enrolling in any of our numerous services, our website will guide new members to our registration page, where they can peruse our various membership choices and choose the one that most suits their needs. The website prominently displays our Terms of Use, Billing Details, and ************ which provide a comprehensive explanation of our billing terms. Any newly registered member will receive a confirmation email for every order made on the website. Intelius members can choose to terminate their membership online through their account, by contacting customer phone support, or by sending an email to our support team.

      Company records show that this account has been canceled and a refund was processed for the last 6 months of charges, which currently exceeds company policy. We have also attempted to authorize an additional refund; however, all attempts to process that refund were unsuccessful. We respectfully request that ***** ****** contact their financial institution for more information, as we do not have authority over the refund blockage. It may be possible to proceed with the refund once the refund blockage is removed.

      I did not sign or authorize this subscription. I have never used their service for background checks. This was unauthorized. I do not have any emails confirming monthly payments or when this subscription was put in place.

Our Billing Terms are conspicuously explained on our registration page and in our Terms of Use. Customers are sent a confirmation email upon signup. If a user completes their initial ********************** inquiry but does not enter their payment information, they will not be charged, and no membership will be created.

      In the event of proclaimed fraud, Intelius requests the billed recipient contact us first to ensure the account in question is thoroughly investigated. When this claim can be justifiably substantiated, the account in question is disabled from further use, all memberships to be cancelled, and the last charge is returned to the payment option used.

      This account has been cancelled and disabled, which will prevent any further use or access. The maximum amount of refunds have been processed. Please allow up to 3-5 business days to see the 2 refunds reflected in their account, depending on their financial institution.

      I have been trying to remove my information from all of their websites. Their 'opt out' option conviently does not work for anyone for months. I have followed all the legal steps to get my information removed from all of the web pages they manage. I need Intelius to remove my information off their website. I have my information being monitored by personal data protection and I was notified that Intelius was selling my info on the Dark Web. I will not provide any information since they are selling my info on their website. All i need is for them to remove my information all their websitess immediately.

      people connects ' opt out' option is not functional or working in order to submit the removal request. any attempts to contact and make this process seamless is thrawarted by their lack of transparency to remove oneself from their database.  

      The other issue is the timeframe it takes to remove oneself from their database.

      in May of 2024, I received a charge of $1.01 from a company called Intelius. 3 weeks later I was charged 4.99 but my bank declined the charges. July I was charged $***** and again $***** in August. I did not know this company nor did I ever use this company for anything. I called the 877 number online for Intelius and told them I did not request services from them, nor had I in the past and informed them I wanted my money returned. That's when it started...Every 3 days my bank account was hit with a request from Intelius for $*****. and 19 times they were denied. Last night I received a notification that Intelius was trying for the 20th time in a month to pull ***** from my account. I also received an email from them for the first time...telling me to update my billing info on line. 10 minutes later they finally succeeded in successfully stealing $***** from my account by changing the name of who was requesting funds with my same card information. This Company has already stolen my banking info once, so I blocked the company that was accessing my account, which was **********************. So someone changed the wording of the requesting party but used my bank info fraudulently to Steal more money from me! I know to most people, $140 dollars might not seem like a lot, but I am a disabled veteran and on a fixed income. I cannot afford to be Scammed this way. I never thought after being wounded in ***********, I would have to come home and still struggle to make it because now a business in my own country is stealing from me...please help if you can. Thank you for your time.

      This company has made my data publicly available, including all of my numbers and addresses, despite my legal requests for removal. The website clearly displays my information and prompts verification through one of the listed emails or phone numbers. However, they make it difficult to verify my identity and provide reasons to deny my removal request. I have verified my identity using multiple emails and the primary phone number listed, but I never received a text to confirm the removal of my data. I have emailed them to request the removal of my information, but my messages are being ignored. I expect they will continue to disregard my email requests and direct me back to the website. Additionally, the website appears to have insecure security protocols, making it risky to navigate and a potential source of malware. We do not create or add to the information we obtain. While we cannot remove specific records from a report, we do have the option to remove an entire background report from our site. The information obtained from a report is for personal use only.

      Mr. Phillips emailed us on October 7, 2024, seeking help to remove his public data. We responded and confirmed he'd already tried using our self-service tool but encountered validation problems. We asked for more information to proceed with his request but haven't received a reply. 

      In addition to the Record ID number that Mr. Phillips provided, we ask that he also please provide other email addresses, physical addresses, or phone numbers that he may have used to help validate his identity. That information will only be used to process his request.
