    Dear **** *****,

We are writing in response to the consumer complaint filed by Soo ***** ***, Complaint ID ********.

TruthFinder is a public records search engine that compiles publicly available information from government records, commercial data providers, and other public sources. While we cannot remove individual records, we can suppress an entire background report from public display on our website.

Based on the information provided, we successfully located a background report for Yuhee ****** *** and have processed a suppression request on her behalf. This removal also extends across the PeopleConnect family of sites, including TruthFinder.com, ************, ********************, and ************.

Additionally, we have submitted a California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) request on her behalf. Please note there is a distinction between suppressing a public background report and submitting a **** request. Suppression removes the background report from appearing on our sites but does not delete the underlying public records or prevent related listingssuch as appearances as a possible relative, in contact reports, or on government databases. **** requests, by contrast, apply to personal data collected through website **************** as account information, purchase history, or browsing activityand may include deletion, correction, or opting out of data sharing.

Truthfinder.com has been charging me for 2 bait and switch monthly subscriptions for over a year on my credit card that I used in previous years for another purchase. Since April of 2024, they have been charging my card monthly for 4.99 and 7.99 even though I did not use the service. Thank goodness I discovered the charges and researched them. When I called for a refund, they acknowledged that I had not used the services all these months, but there is fine print saying the I signed up for these 2 monthly reoccurring charges, which I did not. They only agreed to take May 2025 and June 2025 off. I figure it's over 182.00$ in charges they scammed me for. There needs to be a law against these sign *** that consumers keep getting scammed for. If they unknowingly use a service once and it keeps going every month without consent. I do not remember using it when this all started billing on 4/24, but they said I charged a service once that would continue to renew each month if I did not cancel it. This was a new email and I do not remember using it, or the name or address of the person I allegedly was trying to look up on the service. I am going to pursue help from my bank to reverse charges and report this as fraud. I did not consent to a reoccurring monthly service, much less 2 of them1

In July 2020 TruthFinder opened an account in my name, but with an incorrect email address. Apparently, the account was used on the day it originated and not again. This was not my account. As my job takes me out of the country several times a year for extended periods, I have my accountant dealing with the Credit Card statements etc. I had no need to go over them as I forward receipts of purchases and other expenses to her. The charge for TruthFinder was $27.72 monthly. As it was not a large amount and was recurring, she assumed it was legitimate. It wasnt!!! I do not normally access my cards online for security reasons. However, as I had no statements easy to access I reluctantly decided to set up an online account. This is how I found the TruthFinder charge. I called TruthFinder and they had the wrong email address for me. They did acknowledge that it was an incorrect address, yet informed me that all they could refund was one month. I spoke with a representative and thought perhaps a supervisor would be more able to assist me with a reasonable refund. It seems that their policy allows only a one month payment amount to be refunded with no additional amount under any circumstance. I inquired as to whether the company was **** or a LLC. I was advised they could not provide me with this information. They were clearly not willing to escalate my matter and research how this billing occurred. If this really is their very inflexible policy, they protect themselves well, but do little to nothing for people taken advantage of by either a flaw in their system or some form of fraud. I feel they would not be refunding me for a service, but instead, for an account never used beyond its origination. I also feel compelled to pursue this matter in any legally appropriate way I can. $1500 is too much money to just walk away from without making every possible effort for its return.

On your website pertaining to my release on 4/12/25 you state that I posted a 500 and some odd dollar bail or Bond the charges were dropped entirely and I did not see a judge I would not go to arraignment and none of those charges are in court I would appreciate if your records reflected that and not that I bailed out bailing out implies that the charges had validity which they did not thank you for your time.

TruthFinder is a public records search engine that compiles and displays publicly available information gathered from a wide range of public sources, including local county courthouses, census bureaus, and other government agencies. We do not alter, supplement, or verify the records we obtain, and we hold the utmost respect for each individual's privacy.

While we cannot alter or remove specific entries within a background report, we do provide the option to suppress the entire report from appearing on TruthFinder.com and affiliated people search sites. To initiate this process, the consumer may visit our Suppression Tool at *************************************************, select ************************** then Manage My Suppression Rules, and verify their identity. Suppressions apply to all people search sites in the PeopleConnect family, including Intelius, Instant Checkmate, and ** Search.

If the charges referenced were dropped, dismissed, or did not result in a conviction, this information may still appear in public records depending on how the originating agency reported it. We do not generate this content and recommend that individuals contact the original source (such as the arresting agency or courthouse) to request a correction at the source if the record is inaccurate.

If the record has been expunged or sealed, we kindly ask that you email a copy of the expunction documentation to ******************************* so we can review and process your suppression request accordingly. Please note, we do not remove *** offender location data, and an individual may still appear as a possible associate or relative in another persons report.

I had canceled my subscription in December 2024. While looking through bank statements, I realized I was still being charged the amount of money per month even after cancellation. I called truth finders and spoke to a woman there in April 2025. She said that I had two subscriptions?! But she did see in her system that I canceled the one subscription in December. Why would a person have two subscriptions for the same service? This woman offered to reimburse me for only two months. I would like four months reimbursement because thats the amount of time that they were withdrawing funds, I believe fraudulently.

I opened a 30 day trial account. The fee was $3.99, on the same day I opened the account I also closed it. Yet TruthFinder.com is still charging me $28.33 every month. I have confermation from TruthFinder that the account in question is closed. However I am still being billed the monthly fee. I have also contacted my bank and filled a fraud case with them. However they can only block TruthFinder.com from charging me for five years. I want TruthFinder.com to cease and desist any charges and reverse all charges. Dear Madi Posey,

We are writing in response to the consumer complaint filed by David Plourde, Complaint ID 23428236.

Our records show that Mr. Plourde initially enrolled on January 7, 2025, for an Unlimited Person Reports Membership at $28.33 and also selected Unlimited PDF and Data Monitoring Access at $3.99. The Person Reports membership was canceled on the same day, and the PDF access was canceled on February 10, 2025.

The account was reactivated on April 23, 2025, when Mr. Plourde again enrolled in the Unlimited Person Reports Membership for $28.33. Billing continued as scheduled, and we did not receive any emails or phone calls from Mr. Plourde requesting cancellation or assistance prior to this complaint. As of today, June 5, 2025, we have canceled the membership and, as a courtesy, refunded the most recent $28.33 charge to the original payment method.

We would also like to clarify that neither of the services Mr. Plourde enrolled in were trial offers. Upon enrolling in any of our services, our website guides customers to our registration page where they can review all membership options. Consistent with applicable laws, all material terms—including billing details and automatic renewal policies—are clearly disclosed prior to payment, and users must check a box agreeing to these terms before completing registration.

TruthFinder members may cancel at any time by logging into their account, contacting our phone support team, or emailing us. We encourage customers to reach out directly so we can address concerns promptly and effectively.

    Dear Madi Posey,

We are writing in response to the consumer complaint filed by David Plourde, Complaint ID 23428236.

Our records indicate that Mr. Plourde initially enrolled on January 7, 2025, for an Unlimited Person Reports Membership at $28.33. That membership was canceled the same day. However, the PDF and Data Monitoring add-on remained active until it was canceled on February 10, 2025.

There were no further charges until April 23, 2025, when the account was reactivated to conduct a search on Mijiza Johnson. Because we did not receive a cancellation request during that billing cycle, the membership renewed and was billed again on May 29, 2025. The account was canceled on June 5, 2025, and the most recent $28.33 charge was refunded in full as a courtesy.
We understand how frustrating unexpected charges can be and sincerely regret any confusion this may have caused.

Consistent with applicable laws, all material terms—including billing details and automatic renewal policies—are clearly disclosed prior to payment. Customers must check a box agreeing to these terms before completing registration. TruthFinder members may cancel at any time by logging into their account, contacting our phone support team, or emailing us. We encourage members to reach out directly so we can resolve any concerns quickly and effectively.

    Dear Madi Posey,

We are writing in response to the consumer complaint filed by Kelly Park, Complaint ID 23419430.

TruthFinder is a public records search engine that aggregates publicly available information from government agencies, commercial data providers, and other public sources. All information on our site is lawfully obtained and displayed in accordance with applicable laws.

We understand Ms. Park is requesting the removal of her data from TruthFinder and affiliated sites and has stated that she will not provide identifying information beyond her name and city. While we respect her concern for privacy, identity verification is a required step in our suppression process. This is necessary to confirm we are acting on behalf of the correct individual and to prevent unauthorized suppression of public records, which could impact others’ rights or access to lawful data.

To initiate suppression, Ms. Park may visit https://www.truthfinder.com/privacy-center, select “Suppress Your Public Data,” and follow the steps under “Manage My Suppression Rules.” The information collected is used solely to match the request with the correct record. Suppression requests apply across all PeopleConnect-owned sites, including TruthFinder.com, Intelius.com, InstantCheckmate.com, and USSearch.com.

We cannot guarantee suppression without completing this process, and we are unable to bypass verification based on the provided information.
If Ms. Park has any additional questions or wishes to proceed, she may contact our Customer Support team at 855-921-3711, available daily from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. PT (10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET). Holiday hours may vary.

    Dear Madi Posey,

We are writing in response to the consumer complaint filed by Kelly Park, Complaint ID 23419430.

We are sorry to hear Ms. Park is upset, and we want to assure her that we take all concerns seriously—especially those involving privacy and safety. As previously noted, TruthFinder is a public records search engine that aggregates lawfully obtained information from public sources such as government agencies and commercial data providers.

Unfortunately, we were unable to identify Ms. Park’s record or validate her identity based on the limited information provided. Verification is a required part of our suppression process, which helps ensure we are acting on behalf of the correct individual and prevents unauthorized data removal that could affect others.

If Ms. Park is able to locate a result that matches her information on TruthFinder or our affiliated sites (Intelius.com, InstantCheckmate.com, or USSearch.com), we ask that she send a screenshot of that result to [email protected]. To further assist in matching her record, she may also include any alternate email addresses, phone numbers, or physical addresses she has used. This information is used solely for verification and suppression processing.

We are here to help and would welcome the opportunity to resolve this concern. Ms. Park can also contact our Customer Support team directly at 855-921-3711, available daily from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. PT (10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET). Holiday hours may vary.

    Sincerely,
    TruthFinder Customer Support Team
