I used to Truthfinder to purchase one report on November 2, 22 for $3.99. I have recently discovered that they have been charging me nearly $60 every two months since purchasing my original report for $3.99. Supposedly I am subscribed to their service. I never subscribe to their service. I simply purchased one report. I had no intention of ever subscribing yet now that they have my credit card number they continue to charge me I cant even log onto the site and try and find out how to get them to stop charging me, how can this company possibly have an A+ rating with over 350 complaints? The number of complaints, resolved or not, speaks loudly. Im beginning to question the legitimacy of the BBB. iI they are willing to give A+ ratings to companies with so many complaints. From what I understand all BBB has to do is contact the company, the company make some sort of comment and if the person who is the victim is not on top of things or doesnt get notified of the response by the predatory business, the BBB automatically considers the complaint resolved Maybe its time for BBB to reconsider the legitimacy of their role in allowing these businesses, to clear their reputation while continuing to victimize the unsuspecting publicBusiness Response

On 02/26/2023 I went on Truthfinder and paid $1.00 for a 5 day trial. I looked up several old friends that I had lost contact with and then thought I'd look mself up. The ONLY info correct in the report was my age and birthdate. The whole report under my name comes up with the name of my ex daughter-in-law, ******** Faranche ****, and all of her information. I called the number on the Truthfinder page and the person that answered said she couldn't handle this matter, to go to Truthfinders/Help. I did that. Was sent an email which I filled out an sent back. I wrote on another site I was sent to. After no response I cancelled my subscibption. Today I called again and was told there was nothing they can do about it. So...I guess anyone looking me up will see that I graduated from a school in a Latin Country, work in ************ etc., etc., etc. Not one true statement except my age and birthdate. I don't need my $1.00 back, I need my life back! I.E....my correct information on their site. How can I trust anything Truthfinders have in their reports??? Thus...Cancelled.Business Response

I canceled my membership. Come to find out. I needed to cancel two additional add on. I was charged for this month. I can not use the two additional add ons with out a member ship. It does not say anything about that when I was canceling membership. They know what their doing and scamming people out of money. I dont like to be rip-off and coned. Its under $10.00. Greetings,I signed up for Truthfinder.com to locate public information referencing an individual and his potential involvement with my wife, which is affecting my three-decade-old marriage. However, although I was thorough in my search, my account was flagged and locked because I made too many inquiries. Well, isn't that the point of doing a public record search on an individual? It leads you to their public social media accounts, email address (which can be more than a dozen), criminal records, etc. Viewing what is already public should not be such a hassle. I would not recommend this site if you want to search for an individual thoroughly because you will be hampered in the end.Business Response

This site is nothing but scum. I paid for trial only and use it one time. After that, TruScummer started charging my card every month. I have to log in and cancel it, then call to customer service and request to cancel it again. After that, I got email with confirmation of cancelation. A month later (guess what?) my card was charged again. This time the scum company told me that the previous cancelation was made for pdf reports usage and now they will do cancelation for premium usage (what a shameful BS excuse!). I got another email of cancelation and I do not know now how much more the ******* will try to charge my card.Business Response

Truthfinder is posting not only my private information online but it also has a lot of wrong and old outdated information. They also make it very hard to opt out or remove your information. I submitted a request to suppress and it still displayed my name and allowed me to download a report if I paid for it. I submitted an opt out and delete request and they denied it. I did a background check on myself and after agreeing to pay $28 for the service and spending half an hour filling out everything they wanted me to agree to a subscription to continue indefinitely for $3.99 a month. I had the option to cancel it after the fact. I declined, thinking they would refund the $28 or give me the report without the continued subscription, they did neither. They've taken my $32 (including taxes) and won't give me my report. I want the report without having to pay an extra $4 or I want my money back. I consider adding on a mandatory additional $4 at the end fraudulent.Business Response

I received notice from my security system that Truthfinder had leaked my information on my email including password on the dark web. Please simply inquire if I need to file a law suit to get a response to the question I asked, not the question they wish to respond to.
