    There were multiple issues with my reservation. I asked the business for a refund as these issues were very unpleasant. Here is what I asked for:I would like a discount for a few issues. 1) it was hard to know how to communicate with you. You sent text messages but when I texted to ask what the coffee set up was no one ever replied so i emailed and got a delayed reply. Within the text, it says to call or email so I assumed that this was a unmanned Text Number based on the lack of response to my prior question. So I emailed to let you know about problems with the Internet and then I received a text that I shouldve sent a text not an email. So it was hard to know what to do because there wasnt very quick replies or no replies either way.2) it took 2+ days to fix the Internet. This was very frustrating as it was super important to some people in our group and the response time was very slow.3) I asked for slightly early check-in as we had an event at 4 PM. I was told no but I feel that even 15 minutes would have been fair. We showed up a few minutes early and I tried the door code. It didnt work. I assumed that you had locked us out until exactly 3 PM since you didnt want any early check-in. when I called because the code didnt work I was told to wait and ultimately I was sent to the wrong code. This delay made us late for the event that we were attending, which was the entire reason we are coming to ********* to begin with. This was very irritating and made for a really stressful and unpleasant first day. Basically, you have to email or text them 2 to 3 times to get one reply. They have very poor customer service so I asked them for a refund. They told me that that was threatening. I posted a review explaining the issues because if you look at website, all the reviews are positive. This is not accurate to what happened and they said that they would remove my review. This is a dishonest business practice. I want my review published

    We had the misfortune to rent from Surf Style Vacation Homes ********* - a photo of the outside deck of a property in ********* that they manage is featured on the front of their website. This was a long term rental but we had to leave early as I was having asthma attacks. There is black mold throughout the home (appliances, tile, sagging window frames), disintegrating bedding, filthy window treatments, rusting and dirty furniture. The place should be condemned. We have fought for months for a refund through **************** to no avail - Amex supervisors as high up as we can go say, 'We represent you as a client and them as a merchant. Sorry, you'll have to seek legal representation. We can't take sides.' We can't afford a lawyer and at this point, we have little recourse for a refund. But we want others to know that this business is unresponsivie, uncaring, and ultimately belligerent when confronted with the slumlord condition of at least one of their properties.
