    This management company is horrible when it comes to service and communications. They ruined our 5 day vacation after we paid a year in advance. We get notified 30 days before arrival that our unit will be under construction during our stay. They blame the *** but whos in charge ? *** books and takes the money. ******************* is just that and they managed nothing. Cannot recommend!

    The worst company to work with. Tried to reserve at last minute beach rental with my family. Was informed that I would need to fill out the questionnaire. Completed the questionnaire immediately. They waited until 5:01 p.m. when the office was closed on a Friday to email me back that we didn't qualify due to the fact that the last minute booking was suspicious. Nobody answers their phone after that and they keep a hold on your credit card for the entire weekend.

    We rented a condo from them on VRBO that had photos that weren't even of the unit or had anything to do with the unit. The building was in terrible shape, the unit next door had bars on the door and windows and the neighborhood was sketchy. We called as soon as we arrived to say we weren't comfortable staying there with our kids, the photos were inaccurate and it smelled like mold - they said to write an email. No response. We paid over $4,200 for 4 nights and they wouldn't even give us our cleaning fee back even though nobody stayed there and they didn't pay to have it cleaned again. When I persisted in emailing for a resolution they told me they don't respond to threats - I wasn't threatening I was trying to resolve the issue and communicate. They just refuse to talk to me at all. Not sorry you weren't happy, sorry we misrepresented the unit with fake photos, sorry you spent $4,200 of your hard earned money on a family vacation and had to go rent another place to stay? Terrible business practices. Do not rent from this company.

    Sincerely a poor experience from the start. Very poor customer service that took days to get a response regarding questions they initiated, lack of respect, hidden prices, and blatant discrimination. Don't book here - just don't do it. Things always end the way they start, and this was a prime example. From the first moment it was all bad.Proceed with caution and hopefully you find a great place to book (elsewhere).

    Dear ****, I think its time you start rethinking your business strategy after so many customers are left frustrated by the same thing. I wouldnt be surprised if you have a discrimination lawsuit on your hands in the next few years. I encourage you to read up on the civil rights act and equal and fair housing act. Although I do not have a claim you discriminated our group based on race I think its pretty clear your screening process is one that not only discriminates on race but age, gender, socioeconomic status, and even activities customers choose to participate in. If youve made it this far you probably know this company will not rent you a property they have listed unless you are old, white, and rich. Make sure you just put those things on your questionnaire and youre good to go. For reference I tried to book a group of 7 over 30 adults and my request was denied because I didnt meet the capacity requirements (which is 7 adults maximum) but what it really was is they didnt like our demographic.

    I booked a place on VRBO that Surf Style Hosted. We had 7 adults which is less than the maximum number of guests allowed on the property. We were going on vacation for my husbands Birthday. I mentioned it was my husbands birthday. Then they cancelled my reservation. We were not having a party. Just wanted a place to stay and he wanted to go to the beach in *********. I emailed the company, called them and no response. Not sure what the difference is if it's a birthday or any other day. We met all the requirements they listed. But they refused to communicate and listen to my concerns. I don't see how a company can represent a homeowner to rent out their place when they turn down clients that meet their requirements.We have a vacation rental in ******** so we understand the concerns when renting out your home and respecting the rules. They obviously don't care your reason... they will just cancel you.

    My experience is very much akin to the other negative reviews. Surf Style Vacation Homes (the Company) takes payment via credit card then performs a subjective due diligence process. This is a group that is not operating in good faith. They take your credit card information with the implicit understanding you have booked a vacation rental, then require a questionnaire. The questionnaire will result in denial if you disclose outside visitors. At the end of the day, all the Company would say is the owner feels you are not the proper fit. This was a very awkward and confusing experience. I think it would make more sense to enhance the transparency by fully disclosing the owners required terms and conditions and enforce accordingly. At the end of the day the owners selection process feels suspicious.
