    On 6/13, I sent a message to a stylist ****** ******* asking if they were available on 6/15 to braid hair and did not get a response. I tried some other stylists and found someone available. The next day 6/14 at 11:49am, I got an email saying an appointment was scheduled for 6/15. After seeing the email 18 minutes later at 12:07, I tried to cancel but got a message that I will be charged 50% since I was in the 24 hour window. I tried to call the stylist to understand how an appointment was booked but she was rude and hung up. I cancelled the appointment and my credit card was charged $270.

    Im extremely frustrated with a recent issue I experienced on the StyleSeat platform that has directly left my account in the *********** client ****** ******* booked an appointment for June 13 at 10:00 AM. She paid her deposit through the StyleSeat app and paid the remaining balance in cash at the time of service. However, during checkout, the app automatically processed the full payment even though my settings are clearly set to manual checkout.This is a serious problem. I typically have the ability to manually adjust or change the payment method before completing a transaction. In fact, I recently serviced another new client where this worked exactly as intended. But in this situation, I was not given any option to intervene or change the payment method before the app auto-processed the ********* make matters worse, when I tried to issue a refund for the amount that was mistakenly processed, StyleSeat forced me to refund the entire payment, stating that appointments with a deposit must be refunded in full. This is completely unfair, as I only needed to refund $98, not the full amount.Because of this forced refund process, StyleSeat returned $98 plus the $22 deposit to my client, even though she already paid the $98 in cash. This left my account negative -$21.12, and Im now shorted and the service I provided. All I need is for my account to be *********** StyleSeat account name is @foreverjass

    I booked an appointment on Style Seat with a stylist. 20 minutes before the appointment I get a text from Style Seat saying my appointment had been automatically rescheduled. The stylist didnt talk to me before doing this so I tried calling and texting her I was already on my way. I arrived at the salon address and the blinds and curtains were drawn and there was a realtors lock on the door. No one answered when I knocked. I dont believe this is a real stylist or salon. I never spoke to an actual person. Style Seat is set up so I cant protect my account from a fraudulent transaction and there is no way to file a dispute with Style Seat.

    I am filing this complaint due to deceptive and unethical practices by a stylist operating on the StyleSeat platform, as well as StyleSeat's failure to provide adequate consumer protection despite facilitating the transaction that led to my financial loss.

    On May 24, 2025, I booked a hair appointment through StyleSeat with a stylist named ****** **** ******* ** *****. I discovered this stylist and selected her based entirely on the work, reviews, and professionalism portrayed on StyleSeat's platform. After I booked, the stylist instructed me to cancel the official booking and instead pay her directly via ***** to “avoid platform fees.” Trusting the professional appearance facilitated by StyleSeat, I complied.

    The service I received was unprofessional and substandard. The braids were falling out the same evening, uneven, unfinished, and poorly done. I was forced to remove them within 24 hours and pay to have the style corrected elsewhere. I spent over 10 hours at the appointment, paid $240, purchased my own hair, and endured significant financial and emotional stress.

    I contacted StyleSeat and provided extensive documentation, including photos, messages, and evidence of the service failure. While they acknowledged the severity of the issue and escalated it to their Fraud & Compliance team, they ultimately declined any resolution because the payment was processed outside of their system—despite the fact that their platform was the source of discovery, communication, scheduling, and trust-building with the stylist.

    Desired Resolution:
    I am requesting that StyleSeat:

    Acknowledge its role in facilitating the fraudulent representation.

    Provide a refund or consumer remedy (e.g., credit or reimbursement).

    Enforce platform policies to prevent professionals from evading accountability in this manner.

    Ive been trying to contact their fraud representative about uploading documents for their requirements for payment. Im an independent contractor and use their service for payment. Ive repeatedly sent numerous emails and no one is contacting me. Meanwhile they have ****** of my money that I cant access.

    I am new to Style Seat (as a client) and booked and completed my first appointment. Prior to booking, I saw that there was a $50 promotion for first time booking, which induced me to book my appointment with Style Seat (for the first time). Upon inquiry to Style Seat, I was told that the discount would be applied after my service was completed. However, when I paid for my service there was no $50 discount. When I asked Style Seat why the discount was not applied, I was told:

    "This discount is offered in exchange for booking with a new professional via StyleSeat’s New Client Connection. However, our system did not mark you as a new client via this program. This happens in situations where you’ve been in contact with this professional prior, had them favorited in your account, click on their VIP link, etc. Because our system does not recognize you as a new client from StyleSeat’s New Client Connection feature, appointments with this professional will not be eligible for this discount."

    None of the above applies to me - and none of this was explained in connection with the discount. This is false advertising and induced me to book with Style Seat. I would like my discount applied, and would like them to stop using this discount as an inducement if they are not going to honor it.

    I booked online through style seat website. My card was charged for the service twice because I paid the stylist in person. I have reached out several times to resolve the issue, but no one has gotten back to me.

    I had a hair appointment for 1:00 pm. The stylist didn't tell me she was running behind until I arrived. She stated she was behind 30 minutes. I waited until 1:58 pm and she still was done with the other client. So I asked her to cancel my appointment without and charge. And she charged me 143.00. I contacted the busy and they sided with the stylist. Her time wasted was more important than the time I wasted. And I the client was an inconvenient to her. And that I deserved to be charged half the price of the appointment since I decided not to wait any longer.

    I booked a haircut appointment online, and the stylist happens to use StyleSeat for this purpose. I am happy to pay the fee and tip for the haircut. However, the online booking fee of $2.35, plus the 10% tax, are contrary to standard business practice for haircuts. That is the first time I have ever paid those fees, on top of the haircut and tip.When I paid through the stylist's StyleSeat app on his phone, it said that a receipt was emailed to me, and it displayed my email address with the correct spelling. However, I have yet to receive that in my inbox or spam folder.

    I used this website to make appointment for my daughter at the hairdresser business called "***********"
    After completing appointment I paid in cash, and hairdresser decided to mark me no show in their system, later on I had serious problems with my daughter's hair since the hairdresser didn't do proper job.
