Im filing this complaint because Ive been dealing with an ongoing issue regarding a closed account with ********************** thats showing up negatively on my credit report.The account is marked as charged off with a past-due balance of $3,167, but the information reported to the credit bureaus is inconsistent. One report shows a different last activity date, another shows a different high balance, and the overall reporting seems inaccurate and confusing. Ive already tried disputing it through the credit bureaus, but nothing has been corrected or *********** this point, Im asking that LendingClub delete this account from my credit report. The way its showing up now is doing more harm than good, especially as Ive worked hard to rebuild my credit. I understand mistakes can happen, but all I want is for my report to reflect information thats fair, consistent, and verifiable and right now, this account doesnt meet that standard.I would really appreciate LendingClubs help in doing the right thing by removing this account.Business Response

LendingClub provides applicants with important documents prior to loan consummation. These documents include the Borrower Agreement and Truth-In Lending (TIL) disclosure.The TIL disclosure includes important information about the loan, including the Annual Percentage Rate (APR) and origination fee. LendingClub requires that applicants review the TIL and accept the Borrower Agreement before submitting an application. Our records indicate Jepaul **** reviewed the TIL and accepted the Borrower Agreement on June 29, 2021. To view the TIL disclosure and other important documentation, please have them sign into their LendingClub account online at **************************.
LendingClub records confirm that Jepaul **** received a personal loan that originated on July 2, 2021. Contractual monthly payments were received on time on the loan from August 2021 to February 2023.
It is the responsibility of the member to monitor their account, payments, and information. If a contractual monthly payment is not received by the contractual due date and becomes past due, LendingClub will attempt to reach the member whose account might be at risk of being negatively impacted or reported. We give all borrowers a 15-day ***** period to make payments with no penalty. Interest will continue to accrue on the loan daily and if payment is delayed, there may be additional interest accrued on the loan. If a payment is not received within 15 days of the contractual due date,a late fee may be applied. If a payment is not received within 30 days of the contractual due date, the account may be turned over to a professional collection agency and negative information may be furnished on their credit report. LendingClub must follow our charge-off policy if the loan becomes more than 120 days past due. The loan was charged off on July 17, 2023.
LendingClub is required to report all account experiencespositive and negativeto one or more of the credit bureaus. Late payments, missed payments, or other defaults on their account may be reflected in their credit report, as well as a record of on-time payments. Charge-offs result in a negative **** on their credit report. Whether they've paid off the balance, settled it, or the loan is sold, the charge-off status will stay on their credit report up to seven years. To remain fair and impartial to all borrowers, we are unable to make modifications or exceptions to our credit bureau reporting policy.
Upon acknowledgment and acceptance of the loan terms, a borrower consents and agrees to LendingClubs credit reporting policy. LendingClub complies with all applicable federal and state privacy and data protection laws and regulations and ensures that all reporting of account information is consistent with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). In accordance with the FCRA,LendingClub provided a thorough investigation of their account, and it was confirmed that all account information has been accurately reported.
A fraud investigation was opened on July 16, 2024 when LendingClub received a fraud claim through the credit bureaus. The investigation was closed on July 17, 2024 and the fraud claim was declined due to Jepaul **** having received benefit of funds. They were notified of this determination by mail.

On 6-30 LendingClub(LC) sent letter that LC closed my account. That LC were going to send check to address of record. That address, I believe is wrong. I attempted to enter my account and check what is on file. The 2nd step verification number was to my old business phone. I attempted many ways to contact LC and every step ended with a computer that had no options or people that were clueless on what to do. I sent emails to ******************************************** Received acknowledgement but with disclaimer that I may have to wait due to large number of contacts. I waited, but no contact from LC and now I worry about a check being sent to someone other than me and cashed. Help!! My cell is number ************. One of LendingClubs objectives is to protect our members when we see activity that may pose a risk to their funds. We are obligated to take necessary action when such risk arises. On June 24, 2025, LendingClub identified activity that warranted further review. In furtherance of our review, LendingClub informed ***** ****** we would require documentation to confirm recent account activity, along with an image of a form of identification. Pending completion of our review, Lucie ******* account was restricted on the same date.***** ****** honored LendingClubs request for documentation on June 25, 2025, and we appreciate their willingness to provide the requested documents. After careful review of the submitted materials, LendingClubs review of Lucie ******* account concluded on June 27, 2025 with the decision to close their account.

A few days ago, i signed onto ************ to apply for a personal loan. I had done so in the past, without issue and it went so well that I thought i should use them again. Unfortunately, things have changed drastically and not for the better. I was contacted via text and email ***eatedly asking for more and more verification, which I sent in. Then my verification documents were rejected and I was told to call in. I did and the ***resentative that I spoke with spoke english very well but unfortunately did not comprehend it so we had a massive language barrier. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor and was put on hold for an extended amount of time before the same *** came back on the line and continued on as if I had not asked for a supervisor. She then told me that she had corrected the issue and she ended the call. I began receiving notifications again for the same issue. I tried to speak to someone via chat. She did not comprehend either and insisted that Social Security does not handle disability payments. I asked to have my application modified and she ***eatedly messaged me about not responding to her even though I was responding and she ended the chat. Finally, I called the toll free number to cancel the application and the automated system would not let me cancel but just looped and asked for income verification. I have verified my income with my disability award letter. I cannot move forward because they do not understand that disability is awarded by the ******************************, and I cannot cancel. I cannot plead my case because they have outsourced to non english comprehending ***s for their english speaking customers, the automated system does not work properly. I have used ************ in the past without any trouble but this is ridiculous. It proves that they do not value, respect or care about their customers at all.Business Response

information submitted. Once you submit your application, we start confirming
the information you entered about your identity, employment, and income.
Depending on the information received in your application and if any additional
verification is required, it can take up to thirty (30) days for LendingClub to
make a determination on an application.
Lending
Club has strong identity verification and authentication mechanisms to ensure
that an application is valid and to avoid the risk of identity theft. Our
application process is completed online; therefore, we often look to verify
identity via a phone conversation during which we ask several personal
questions that only the individual applicant would know. The aim is to protect
our borrowers from security infringements. Our records confirm that the
application is pending the phone confirmation and receipt of the requested
documentation.
When
no action is taken on a loan application within the appropriate amount of time,
the loan application will expire within 29 days with no negative impact.
LendingClub will email an adverse action notification regarding the incomplete
application.

I took out a loan through ************ in August 2024 and have consistently made all my payments ahead of schedule. However, in March 2025, they contacted me to inform me that my online payments were only being applied toward the principal, and they indicated that adjustments would be made.When I reviewed my account, I noticed that two payments had been deducted and not reapplied. I've called customer service four times to explain my issue, but it remains unresolved. Now my account shows that I have a full payment due on July 9, 2025, when I've already made that payment in June of 2025.Business Response

LendingClub offers borrowers several options for making their monthly payments. Payments can be automatically deducted from a verified bank account, checks can be sent,borrowers can authorize one-time ACH payments by phone or a payment can be authorized using PayNearMe. Please note that depending on the type of payment,any payment made prior to 3:00pm PST will be posted same day; any payment processed after that time will not be received until the following business day.
When using the member center for scheduling a payment, we ask members to ensure they are choosing the option to have their payment go towards their monthly payment and not schedule a payment as a principal only payment. LendingClub records indicate that a payment in the amount of $275.00 was scheduled on February *******, and March 6, 2025, as a principal only payment. As a result, the system displayed the monthly payment still being owed.
A request to reverse and reapply the payments was received on March 24, 2025. Our records indicate that as of July 3, 2025, all payments have been applied to ******* Malaterres monthly payments. Additionally, the payment scheduled on June ****** in the amount of $275.00 processed successfully that went towards their July 2025 monthly payment. A balance for their July 2025 payment remains. We recommend ******* ********* login to their online portal to schedule a payment or give us a call at ************. One of our phone agents will be ready to assist them with their payment.
