Email popped up saying I subscribed to NerdWallet. I did not sign up for any such thing. Email didnt address my name just my email. Says I should log into my account. I replied to their site and asked to be removed and I didnt sign up. They insisted on my name. Any reputable company wouldnt use bait and switch or fishing techniques to get information from anyone. Wouldnt trust them for anything based on one email.

Was browsing auto refinance rates on Nerdwallet with no itent to refinance in the short term. Noticed a hard inquiry on my credit report the next day. Terrible marketing and disclosures. Also started receiving multiple calls, emails and texts immediately after going through the online flow.

I was looking online for car insurance rates. Nerdwallet offered a comparison. I filled out the information but was NOT told that doing so meant I was also opening a Nerdwallet account. When I tried to close it, Nerdwallet asked for additional personal information that I was not willing to share. So now I have an account I didn't ask for and can't cancel without providing additional information.

Utilizes bait and switch tactics to data mine personal information, without providing a service. Its bad enough having to provide personal information to get a 'free service'. hey went a step further to not even provide a meaningful servicestraight up data mining.

I set this card up to rebuild my credit, worse mistake ever. I set up auto pay so it would be paid on time each month big mistake. My limit was $550 my balance was $153.00 they put the auto pay through for $403 more than the balance. If you do pay the balance in full they reduce your credit limit to your balance and report it to the credit bureau which then changes your utilization over 100%. The customer services has no ability and continues to repeat the available balance and payment due even when that is not your issue. Worst experience I have ever had with a secured credit card. I cant wait till the class action lawsuit. I almost forgot I moved a few months after I had the account call to change my address sent utility bills lol the need a copy of your social security card to change your address, you didnt need that to open the account just a mess and the most inconveniencing secured card ever.

When I looked for a mortgage rate (****************************************************************), NerdWallet baited me with below market rates, then told me there were no mortgage rates available at the rates they themselves advertised after I agreed to allow them to sell my personal information to third parties. It is an unethical bait and switch tactic, which tells you what type of leadership NerdWallet has in place.

My email address has been hacked and it appears I now have an account set up with ********************** for '*******' although that is not my name! I believe I've tracked it back to a 'soft hit' on my credit rating done by an insurance agent checking my history before issuing a policy. Never-the-less, I have received numerous emails advising that 'my' account has been set up and then received 2 emails advising I needed to reset my password for my NerdWallet account. I haven't opened or replied to these emails but the latest one I received was 12hrs ago promoting a program for NerdWallet which makes me believe an account was activated and possibly someone was able to reset the password. This is very unnerving and appears to be happening a lot with this company by the reviews I'm seeing. I am very cautious about online transactions and to have this happen by no fault of mine is very frustrating!!

SCAM! I applied for a loan, was "approved", turned in all my paperwork including connecting my bank, sending in proof of ownership, my social, my ID and everything. Was supposed to be a 1-2 day process. I have called and emailed for 3 weeks now and haven't gotten in touch with a single person. The customer service line just takes your number and says a specialist will reach out to you. LIES! They will even try and sweet talk you and say they will mark it as urgent. What really irks me is that they claims to give you your own specilized agent that will answer any questions you have. I have emailed her over and over and no reply. I have reached out so many times and no one is ever available or will call you back.Very convinced that they are just collecting our personal and financial information to scam. Very upset about this experience and it really caused a lot of issues with my business because I was depending on the loan after I was approved. I wouldn't recommend them to a single soul!
