      I'm complaining about two separate events which I went bought tickets and attendant to the location where the events were supposed to be and both were fraudulent events they were a speed dating on the 10th of June and speed dating on the 13th of June both events brought by event tribe and sold tickets from event tribe the first event on the 10th was fraudulent because the organizers have no intention of matching people I asked three of the girls to match just to see if this was real and they agreed but days later the organizer told me I had no match the second event on the 13th was also a speed dating event which I went to the venue but there was no event taking place at the venue there were no people there they were just maintenance men that told me there was no event being held in the building which is a fraudulent event tribe teams seems to post and sell tickets to fraudulent events I have asked and gone through the process of refunds and they have not refunded any of my money these were two different events both events under $45 I need my refund from these events this is a fraud this website is a fraud and they're trying to take money from people without even making events just with putting in the address selling a date and getting people to go bye tickets I don't think this is fair and I want my money back I want Better Business Bureau to try and give me a refund from these people please

      I am filing this complaint regarding an event tickets I purchased through Eventbrite for the ( DMV R&B NEO SOUL WINE Festival)Wine Festival originally scheduled for [June 14 2025]. On the day of the event, the organizers canceled the event unexpectedly and rescheduled it for [June 22 , 2025].I am unable to attend the rescheduled date due to prior commitments and requested a refund through Eventbrite and/or the event organizer. However, my refund request was denied or has gone unanswered.I purchased this ticket in good faith for a specific date and time, and the last-minute cancellation and unilateral rescheduling without offering an option for a full refund is unacceptable. This policy is unreasonable and does not consider the inconvenience and loss of time and money for attendees who cannot adjust to the new date.Desired Resolution:I am requesting a full refund of [$89.04] for the tickets purchased through Eventbrite, as I cannot attend the rescheduled event.Let me know the event name, date, and amount you paid if you want it customized further.       Thank you for the update and the response from Eventbrite.


      I am writing to formally reiterate my request for a refund for a cancelled event I purchased through Eventbrite. The event was cancelled on the same day it was scheduled and rescheduled for a date I cannot attend. I attempted to contact the event organizer multiple times through the Eventbrite platform, but have not received any response.


      The organizer does not have a social media presence, and the website linked on their Eventbrite page is inactive or leads to a non-functioning page. At this point, there is no way to get in touch with the organizer, and Eventbrite is deflecting responsibility despite hosting and processing the ticket transaction.


      As a customer, I feel I am being unfairly denied a refund for a service that was not rendered, and I am requesting the BBBs assistance in holding Eventbrite accountable as the platform that facilitated the ticket purchase.


      I would appreciate a resolution in the form of a full refund

      I am rejecting this response because:Thank you for your message. I have already attempted to contact the event organizer multiple times but have not received any response. The organizer has no website, no social media presence, and no contact email available. I have exhausted all available methods to reach them.


      As a customer, I purchased my ticket through ********************** and believe that Eventbrite has a responsibility to ensure that its platform is not used by unresponsive or potentially fraudulent organizers. Since I am unable to contact the organizer and the event was canceled, I am requesting that Eventbrite issue a refund directly.


      Please escalate this matter, as I am entitled to a refund for a service that was not delivered and for which no support or resolution has been provided.

      I signed up for an online painting class to paint a full moon scene. When I joined the class, the teacher was painting flowers.       Seeing that Eventbrite is the ONLY place people go for event, Eventbrite is incorrectly showing my information in its search results, and claiming that sales for certain events have ended when they in fact have not. Upon clicking into the affected event, I'm greeted with a blank page with no options on-screen

      I am rejecting this response because they think I'm looking for information about my event status when I clearly pointed out that on their search results pages that the information about it is incorrect. (shows "sales ended" when I'm still trying to sell tickets to the event). Either they need to remove the "sales ended" message or remove the event altogether so people aren't confused when they click into it only to land onto a blank page.

They claim they are working "quickly" to rectify the issue, but the listing with the "sales ended" message is still up. and this has been days. It shouldn't take more than a few minutes to fix (or at the very least remove a listing from search results).

      I have learned the hard way that every time they "suspend" an account, they keep the event listings of that account posted up in the search results with the grey "sales ended" message at the top-left of the listing.

      My home at ******************************************* was used on June 12, 2025 for an event advertised at Eventbrite and where money was collected for ticket sales through Eventbrite. This invitation that was put out to adults and minors included references to alcohol and drugs. This event took place without my authorization or permission and ultimately was shut down by the ******************************** reporting there were ******* attendees and over 100 vehicles. This is my private property and I did not authorize this, I am requesting 100% of all proceeds collected by Eventbrite to be credited to me. I can be reached at **************. Event was hosted by "********************" called "The ***************** ********, **" with DJ ****** I filed a request with Eventbrite as well case #*******. I want all funds that were collected for this event to be held and not released to the event organizer - since this event took place at my property all funds collected should be given to me and withheld from the event organizer.******** **********, ********************** (Property is under my business name).

      Eventbrite is allowing folks to post phony events, and when contacted, they are not doing anything about it. I purchased 2 tickets to a speed dating event on 6/7/25, and it was canceled 15 mins later, and I was told my money would be used as a credit for future events. I contacted them and got no response. I contacted Eventbrite and was greeted with several automatic reply responses saying to contact the organizer, and not taking it seriously at all. I started investigating on my own for future events and contacted the venue where they are supposedly being held, and was told by each one that there is no such event. Also, many of the addresses where the event is being held in an office building with no one to contact. Eventbrite is allowing this phony business to advertise bc I assume not enough people are complaining. I have already spent several hours on this because of principle. I think most people wouldn't do so bc it's easier to call it a ******* really careful what you buy on Eventbrite

      I am rejecting this response for the following reasons:
      Despite using the portal you referenced to submit a concert, I sent multiple messages raising concerns about the legitimacy of a posted event. It was only after I escalated the matter by calling Eventbrites sales team directly that I was finally advised on how to more effectively submit a concern (which is different than the path you are saying here). Prior to that, my repeated attemptsacross several email threadswere either dismissed or ignored, and no meaningful action was taken.


      As someone who relies on Eventbrites platform to find and register for events, I find it unacceptable that reports of suspected fraud are not treated with greater urgency. It appears that someone is be misusing your platform (I have already validated it on most of their events as I reached out to the venue where there were to be hosted) to advertise illegitimate events, and when a user like myself flags this, there should be a clear and responsive process in place. Only after persistent follow-ups am I now being told that the matter will be looked intobut to date, I have seen no evidence of an actual investigation or resolution.

      I am rejecting this response because: This person is still advertising phony events. I was reimbursed for my tickets only after I contacted the event organizer and threatened that I would call the police on her.  I have personally called and spoke to at least 6 owners of the venues she supposedly is hosting events at and all of them say its a scam yet eventbrite is failing to do the same. It seems like Eventbrite is in on the scam.

      On May 11th I received an email from eventbrite asking how my event was on May 10th,. I had no event on that day so i went and checked emails, and then my credit card statemenrs. I found a charge on a chime card from January that i had not made. On May 12th, I reached out to eventbrite and chime about the charge. I explained multiple times that I had lost that card and did not purchase any tickets for the event ( ***** ****** not in a city I live in) . ***** a chain of emails, no resolution was made.

      I signed up to use Eventbrite as a ticketing agent. We had an account there for years and had been receiving payouts from them. Without warning, and after my organization had customers pay money for tickets, ********************** refuses to release the money to my organization. They now demand that I provide information on my board of directors, which i have. I provided a form T3010 but still they refuse to release my money. I have been on the support line four times now and every time they say they will fix it and every time it doesnt get fixed. All I want is my money so that I can go far away from this platform but they refuse to release my money, even though they have done so in the past. It's incredibly frustrating that none of this is made clear to customers, and only after they have my money do they come forward with all these demands.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I have spent at least six hours with your online help and each time they assure me the documents are correct and each time I am met the following day with the same issue - I am told the document is not acceptable and/or that the names do not match, even though they are exactly the same ones I have uploaded in other documents. Online help always assures me they will resolve the issue and they never do. As I have received payouts from you before, I do not understand why you refuse to pay me the money you collected from my customers. What's worse is that you did not forewarn me PRIOR to collecting ticket funds from my customers that you no longer had a way to pay out my funds. In short:

      - You collected funds on my behalf without confirming that you had the ability to pay those funds to me

      -After having an account with you for several years and receiving payouts from you without an issue, you changed the payout requirements without warning

      -Since you refuse to verify my account, I have requested my funds through other means but have been flatly refused.

      -As this is money that belongs to me, you have no right to withhold it simply because your system does not function correctly.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      This response in now way attempts to rectify the complaint and conveniently ignores the issue completely. Eventbrite is accepting funds from the public on behalf of entities that Eventbrite has no way of paying the funds to. As I have stated multiple times, Eventbrite should not be allowed to collect funds on behalf of clients it does not have the ability to pay. In other words, when Eventbrite suddenly stopped having the ability to pay out my organization's funds due to it's own change in policy, it should have immediately ceased collecting those funds until the situation was rectified. Instead, Eventbrite collected funds on behalf of my organization and then, afterwards, said they were not able to transfer the funds that rightfully belong to us. 

      Please respond to the points below.

      1. I would like the funds sent to my organization. If you cannot or will not 'verify' my legitimate organization, it is not my issue to solve but yours since you currently are withholding funds that belong to me. Either verify my organization or send me a cheque. Describe how YOU will rectify the situation, step by step without links.

      2. You must immediately stop collecting funds on behalf of clients that have not been 'verified' by your system. Please confirm you understand this statement and are rectifying the situation. Please describe how you will rectify the situation. DO NOT SEND ME LINKS.

      I am rejecting this response because: I feel robbed as a consumer and just want my money back because and have received no explanation after trying to contact the organizer and their partnering company, Eventbrite. I trusted the process of a business transaction and received no services. Why do I have to fight for my money back, $90. Honest business is all that i seek when purchasing online.

      I purchased tickets for Chef Fest jone 7th 2025, there has been no advertisement for event and there's also a big event the same day. I have also heard from multiple people the event want happen. I followed instructions for a refund but nothing has happened and no one has reached out to me. Tried several times to connect with Eventbrite but no response. Site says I have 7 days before event to request a full refund. Followed instructions but nothing has happened. Don't want to be taken advantage us want all my money back.

      I am rejecting this response because: Their hasn't been any type of advertisement for this event. And I have also heard from multiple people that this event is not going to happen. And based all the research I have done it looks that way. Eventbrite has they ability to contact the event promoters and make them aware of my request and or have them reach out to me. Unless they are supporting consumers being taken advantage of. They clearly hold a responsibility in this matter as well. I just want my money back so I am not scammed.

      I am rejecting this response because they're not taking accountability for the people they allow to conduct illegal activities on their site. I will be forwarding my information to the ********************* and any government agency that regulates this. Also will be posting all interaction and correspondence on all social media platforms requesting that it be shared amongst their followers to be aware of they're ongoing practices.
