      BLS International handles document submission of **** applications for the German consulate in **************On October 14, I applied my documents at BLS International office in *************, and they got a confirmation of document submission to the German consulate. On November 8th I received a call from *** that documents have been received back from the German consulate and that I should pick them up on November 12th.After picking up my documents, I immediately noticed the **** issued was already expired.I communicated with the consulate and BLS, and it turns out BLS failed to communicate the update with me, although I purchased a notification service, and failed to use courier to send my documents back.The misprocessing of the documents has caused loss of the application fees (>$360), and hundreds of dollars in document printing, notarizations, commute ..etc I communicated with BLS over email and over the phone requesting them to either issue a refund or resubmit my application, they have refused to do either.I have a copy of all email communication if needed.

      I visited BLS *********** for a ************* to ***** on 1/19 at 10am. BLS is the only **** center designated by the ***** consulate in **. Tracking# LAX11901240002 I waited 30min past my appt time inside the office. During the appt, I requested courier service with *** notification. Afterwards, I had to take a photo even though I already provided a printed photo. The staff claimed the digital photo goes straight to the Consulates system.My bill:$88 **** fee $18 BLS service fee $15 Photo $35 Courier $5 *** $60 Premium lounge Premium lounge was taken off of the bill after I objected. I paid the **** fee in money order as BLSs website requested. I paid to BLS with a card for almost everything else. Then the staff insisted I must pay for photo in cash because the Consulate only accepts cash.Problems:**** and courier were the only charges I was aware of before checkout. I provided no INFORMED consent to everything else.- Service fee: This was not mentioned on their website, or communicated in person, or on any paperwork.- Photo:1. A DIGITAL photo is not a requirement on the Consulate's website.2. While I must pay the **** fee in money order to the Consulate, they now only accepts cash for photos. Extremely suspicious.- ***: The fee was not listed on the consent form.- Premium lounge:1. It was an open office with metal chairs, not even separated from the service desks. No signs suggesting it was the PREMIUM lounge.2. No indication that sitting while waiting would cost extra.3. The office has a locked door. I wouldve missed my appt if I had waited outside.I quote the staff:At THIS office, premium lounge is mandatory.Everyone receives a text so everyone MUST pay the *** fee, even if they didnt request it.Everyone MUST take a photo here so the fee is mandatory.Requests:- Refund: BLS service fee, photo and *** - Proof that the Consulate received my cash payment.- Investigate BLS's business practice.
