      Have had an ongoing issue with my home security system. Have spend countless amount of time going back and forth with them to diagnose and warranty the failed item. After confirming what has failed and requesting a warranty replacement the refused. They said we dont have warranty. I pointed out that part of my subscription they list lifetime warranty on all hardware. They still denied it being true. I sent them info showing there subscription from there site that I have a lifetime warranty on all hardware. They then said we dont offer that anymore. I mentioned that until my subscription reflects that they need to honor the warranty. They rufued pending further diagnosis. They then sent me to another tech support guy who wants to rediagnose the whole thing after the previous tech support tech confirmed the item had failed. Trying to get them to follow through with the warranty the offered and I paid for in my subscription.

      Returned item, but this company doesn't refund the tax. Original shipping cost is $21.93, return shipping cost is $20. Total shipping both ways are $41.93.They already deducted these shipping costs from the refund.Then, the difference in the refund is $60.05.This is their reply:"Shipping fees are $41.93. The amount that's missing from your refund total are the taxes which is not shown in the screenshot you were provided. The shipping fees of $60.05 can be found on your receipt as well."First, they said $60.05 is the tax - which should be refunded when an item is returned. Then, they said $60.05 is the shipping fees - a 3rd shipping fee?? The $60.05 is the tax (8.25%)

      Abode's flagship offering, the Iota, has fundamental flaws. In its default configuration, it produces false alarms, causing disruption at any hour of the night. When consulting support on fixing these issues, they blame the customer and provide complicated, unsustainable workarounds (rely on support to enter custom settings over which the user has no control) that reset themselves over time.Worse, the security cameras fail to record video when an alert occurs. When bringing these issues to support, the support agents provide inane responses like (try turning it off and on again) or suggesting to set values that have been set before and had no effect.They cannot make the system perform its basic functions or reliably avoid false alarms in a very simple environment. In the past 366 days, we've logged probably 20 days of Away time but experienced three false alarms, one due to their own systems going down and two due to a hyperactive motion sensor.First, I wish they'd fix their product. Second, I'd appreciate it if they'd hire competent support staff and empower that staff to provide accurate, useful suggestions (or escalate to engineering to fix issues).
