I signed up for a GitHub account, @wmcmullin, for $10/month, for a class I'm taking at ******************. Then, I tried to submit to get the student discount on Github's website. It says it wants me to upload a copy of my college transcripts but provides no way to upload the file from my computer. Github is demanding I print my transcripts and hold them in front of my computer's camera. I did that. Now, it says information is missing even though it's all there. Of course, it's hard to read, since I'm holding multiple pages of a document in front of a camera. I e-mailed Gibhub but got no response.Initial Complaint

I've been trying to get approval for my GitHub Education account for over 30 days, but every document I submit is rejected. I am currently studying Software Engineering remotely, in the *** modality, at the institution Ampli. Unfortunately, my college doesn't provide educational emails, which seems to be a GitHub requirement. I have attached the necessary documents. I am extremely unhappy with this restrictive GitHub policy, which ends up hurting us college students.Initial Complaint

Hello,While I love github as a platform since its helped me a lot with my coding projects, the trust and safety team seem to go above and beyond to protect abusive users.I have tried multiple times to reach out about the horrible abuse I recieved on the github organization ******************************************** who allowed their modwerator ****************************************** call me a "victim" and ban me for asking questions about code this is a terrible way to treat and developer and communities like this should not be allowed to operate on GitHub.Every time I reach out i just get the same bot message but nothing is ever done and the user and the organization is still active without even a warning for their abusive behaviour.Initial Complaint

I recieved a $7 monthly subscription charge through my online banking for what I believe to be a "pro" service from NPM, a subsidiary of Github. I contacted my bank for more information and all they said I could do was cancel my debit card and order a new one.I contacted NPM and they told me they could not confirm any subscription based on my email. I told them that is the case because I didn't sign up for the service. There is clearly an error on their part and they are now saying there is no way to rectify the issue because the account associated with the charge does not match my bank account. Although I have proof of the charge. I don't see how they could allow a charge to my bank account if the billing address on the sign up did not possibly match. I would like an investigation opened and to be reimbursed for any an all charges including written proof that these charges will not continue.Initial Complaint

This site has active devce admins that with malicious intent not only stole every password to my personal accounts but changed them, stole identification, illegally and with full intent used deceitful practices that ultimately lead to thousands of dollars of electronics to break, hacking of all my private information and the loss of my job. ******************** ************************* ************************* all have controls now that I cannot change. Hundreds of applications installed on my phone that control it with talk back, assesibility , work set up and mdm profile being the stand outs. Developer.andraoid.cn is attached and gstatic. I cannot get into my ************************ that has all my personal information. Someone is doing this and using this site and company to literally cause irreversible financial damage and personally attack me, causing me to lose job opportunities after being fired. It's to the point I get fake messaged about my kids school, daycare and job opportunities. My number has been affected and I might end up homeless because I couldn't pay October's rent and do not have it specifically because of this. I want to know who is doing this and what developers are crossing ever y boundary to purposefully cause this and I want it stopped. I want all information regarding me or anything pertaining to me sent directly to me for record and who, what company and the reasons behind Someone getting full permission to ruin my life.Initial Complaint

On 8-20-2022, I accidentally sent $180 to NYX (TShock For Terraria) on cashapp. I did try to ask for a refund back on cashapp however it states they only give refunds in cash. I have no idea what type of business this is nor have I been able to make contact with them. I've sent emails and left several messages on their sales phone messages without a call back.I would like for my $189 to be refunded to me as I have no business of any type with GitHub or TShock for Terraria. If should have any questions please feel free to reach out to me.Thank you,*************************
