I was registering a domain name that was available and not taken, paid for a year (through Go **********). Some how, DYNADOT intercepted my order and now is the registered owner of the domain name that I created. Long story on how I discovered this. Tried to contact them per the phone number listed on WHOIS - goes right to an automated VM. Never received a call back. Created an account to chat with someone within the company and was told it looks like someone created the same domain name as you at the same exact time. Would not provide a phone number so that I can actually talk with someone. This company - I dare call it that- is so fraudulent and a total scam! I want my domain name back! DYNADOT is trying to sell my domain name!Business Response

Hello,
Thank you for reaching out. We understand how frustrating it can be to encounter issues during the domain registration process.
However, to clarify, Dynadot is a domain registrar and not the registered name holder of the domain in question. We do not intercept domain purchases or "take" domain names from other registrars. If the domain was registered through another platform such as GoDaddy, and you experienced an issue completing that order, we recommend contacting ******** support team directly to investigate what may have occurred on their side.
Its important to note that domain names are registered on a first-come, first-served basis. Occasionally, if two parties attempt to register the same domain at the same time through different registrars, the registration will only succeed with the party whose order is processed first by the central registry. This is not something Dynadotor any registrarcan control or override after the fact.
We understand this situation has caused frustration, but please be assured that Dynadot operates as a legitimate and *****-accredited registrar. If you believe a domain registered through Dynadot is involved in fraudulent or abusive activity, you are welcome to file a report through our abuse page at *************************************************** and our team will investigate accordingly.
Kind Regards,Anya Glass

On April 10, 2025, Dynadot, LLC disabled my domain, ************, claiming it hosted a phishing page, violating their Service Agreement (Part 1, Section 7). I was not informed of this issue prior to disablement. I contacted Dynadot on April 10 and 11, requesting specifics about the alleged phishing content and offering to remove any violating material. On April 12, they responded, stating the domain was permanently disabled based on a URL (*********************) and attached screenshots and a VirusTotal scan. They refused to provide further details, allow an appeal, or permit domain transfer, citing their terms.I believe my site is legitimate, partnered with ****** since 2022, with downloads sourced from APKpure per their guidelines. ****** provided a referral link, indicating approval, and I received no complaints from them. The disablement has caused significant loss of traffic and business. Dynadots lack of transparency and refusal to reconsider or allow transfer has been unfair. I paid for the domain registration, but the dispute is about restoring access, not a refund. Dynadot has not attempted to resolve this beyond their final decision. I seek restoration of my domain or permission to transfer it to another registrar to preserve my ************* number: ddcn:6MJ7v8P7n7l7Pf:ddcn.Business Response

Hello,
Your website, hosted on ************, was found to be offering malicious downloads impersonating the Free Fire game by Garena - ************************. This was explained at the time of the takedown. As the brand being spoofed is reflected in the domain name you registered, we deemed this malicious phishing and denied your request to reactivate.
Our Terms of Use allow us to take this action - *************************************************** - as we do not allow our services to be used for fraud, phishing, malware, etc...7.3 Unless otherwise stated herein, Dynadot may, in its sole and absolute discretion:
a) Refuse to provide or cease providing any Service or portion thereof;
b) Refuse to affect any transaction on Your account;
c) Delete, suspend, cancel, terminate, or otherwise interrupt any Service and/or Your account where such Service or account is used in connection with a morally objectionable activity, including but not limited to spam, fraud, illegal activity, defamation, slander, harassment, obscenity, profanity, indecency, deceptive practices, tortuous behavior, racism, bigotry, hatred, vulgarity, invasion of privacy, impersonation, intellectual property infringement, trademark infringement, copyright infringement, counterfeiting, piracy, unsolicited bulk e-mailing, phishing, pharming use of botnets, malware, any harm or threat of harm to a third party or to Dynadot, any activity contrary to applicable law and any activity or material deemed objectionable by Dynadot, in its absolute and sole discretion ("Objectionable Use Activity");
d) Delete, suspend, cancel, terminate, or otherwise interrupt any Service and/or Your account while investigating whether Your account is used in connection with any Objectionable Use Activity; and,
e) Treat any Objectionable Use Activity as a termination of this Agreement and deny any request for account credit and/or refund.Regards,

I am rejecting this response because:
Sincerely,
****** ******Dear Anya ***** and Dynadot Complaints Team,
Thank you for your message regarding the takedown of my website hosted on ************. I respectfully disagree with the assessment that my website was offering malicious downloads and would like to provide clarification to resolve this matter.
Firstly, my website does not host any malicious downloads. The download source for the Free Fire game on our site is APKPure, a widely recognized and safe platform for APK files. If there was an issue, it may be related to advertisements displayed on the site, which are not under our direct control and could have been mistakenly flagged. Furthermore, I believe no real inspection of the downloaded content was conducted, and the decision to disable the domain appears to have been 100% random. I would appreciate specific details on what prompted the takedown, as no explanation was provided to me prior to the domain being disabled.
Additionally, regarding the domain name ************, Garena, the developer of Free Fire, is aware of our website. They have engaged with us on occasion, and we have operated transparently with their knowledge. This suggests our use of the domain was not intended to deceive or phish users.
I was surprised to find the domain disabled without prior notice or an opportunity to address any concerns. I have reached out to find a better solution that works for both parties. At this time, my primary request is for the option to transfer my domain (************) to another registrar, rather than reactivating it under Dynadot. I believe this would be a fair resolution, allowing me to maintain ownership of the domain while addressing your concerns about its use on your platform.Initial Complaint

I received a compliance notice from their team. I have responded with all the information that was required and have been very responsive in communication with whatever they need. Please keep in mind, my domain has been live for over 12 months now without any issues and all of a sudden my domain was locked and is being held ********** domain has been disabled and on hold without any cause/notice. We have invested a significant amount of resources and time in developing the asset, and due to the locking of our website, it is currently unresponsive. As a result, with every passing minute, the website is losing rankings and performance metrics. They only have a generic complaints email and no dedicated support. There is a massive lack of support in resolving the matter from their end. It has been very frustrating so far.If they are not willing to help resolve the matter, I expect them to allow me to take my domain to another registrar. I will be happy to take my business elsewhere who are more customercentric.Business Response

Hello,
Thank you for the opportunity to respond.
Dynadot is an *****-accredited domain registrar and follows established policies and industry standards to investigate and address reports of abuse. The domain referenced in this complaint was placed on hold following a manual review by our compliance team, based on credible concerns related to misuse of the domain name itself. This was not the first instance of such issues associated with this account.
We took this action in accordance with our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, both of which prohibit deceptive or malicious activity, including the use of domain names that may mislead the public or violate intellectual property rights. The registrant was contacted and given the opportunity to respond prior to the domain being suspended.
Given the nature of the abuse and the risks associated with allowing the domain to propagate, the domain is not eligible for transfer at this time. We have a responsibility to prevent harmful use of our services, and we take that responsibility seriously.
We understand that losing access to a domain can be frustrating, but we also must balance that with the need to protect users and uphold our obligations to the wider internet ecosystem.

Anya Glass

We dispute the unjustified suspension of our domain and demand its immediate reinstatement or release for transfer, as required by ***** policies. Your claims of "phishing" and "misuse" are factually baseless, and Dynadots refusal to communicate or provide due process constitutes a breach of your obligations as a registrar.
You referenced a prior issue with our account, which was fully resolved after we provided exhaustive evidence of our legitimate business operations. At that time, Dynadot acknowledged the validity of our documentation, including invoices, and clear disclosures on our website.
The current suspension is entirely unrelated to the prior matter, and you have provided no substantiated justification for imposing a domain hold. This arbitrary action disregards the evidence already accepted by Dynadot in the past.
Your claim that we were "given the opportunity to respond" is misleading. We initiated communication within 2 hours of your initial notice, yet Dynadot took 20 hours to responda delay that caused severe harm to our websites functionality and search ranking. Since then, Dynadot has unilaterally shut down all communication channels, ignoring our repeated attempts to resolve this issue. This violates ****** requirements for fair and transparent dispute resolution.
Your phishing accusation is demonstrably false:
- We do not collect user data (personal, financial, or otherwise).
- Our homepage explicitly disclaims affiliation with the vendor.
- There is no deceptive or misleading contentour services are transparent and lawful.
Moreover, your refusal to release the domain for transfer violates ICANNs Transfer Policy (Section I.B.2), which prohibits registrars from denying transfers based solely on abuse claims without a court order, UDRP action, or equivalent legal ruling. No such ruling exists. Dynadots actions are therefore in direct violation of ***** policy, and we demand immediate compliance.
We insist on the following:
- Immediate reinstatement of the domain, or
- Release of the domain for transfer without further delay, per ****** policies.
This is not merely an inconvenienceit is material harm to our business, and we will not tolerate Dynadots disregard for due process or ICANN regulations. Provide a substantive response with a resolution path.
Sincerely,
*** *****Initial Complaint

On 02/14/2025 I set up accounts at ******************** for several clients so I could move domain names in my account to a new account for them There was a problem with setting up the account so I sent an email describing the problem I encountered."I created several accounts tonight for clients with the objective of pushing domain names from my bushprisby account to each new account. No Verification emails were sent. They aren't in my SPAM folder either. I received no emails for the accounts when, after I submitted the sign up form, a message said a Verification email has been sent. There were no error messages presented. Can you do something about this?"I didn't get a response. A Verification email is required to actually begin to use the account. The website states "Send an EmailEmail us and our knowledgeable support team will get back to you. Response time: 8-9 Hours"Although today in a "chat" session ***** said an email was sent, I've no record of it. He wouldn' resend it, telling me instead to send another email. I did, but this is not acceptable support. I'm wasting time dealing with the issue. I thought finding the phone numbers at BBB would be helpful but they were not - an automated message says they're no longer offering phone support.What I need, besides "CONTACT FROM THE BUSINESS", is to get Verification emails when I need them, and if for ANY reason they're not sent OR received, I need a reasonable solution provided in a reasonable amount of time. I am willing to wait their "8-9 hours" if I have to, but currently all I am getting is a run around without explanations or solutions.Business Response

Hello,
The issue was addressed for all named accounts on our end. I have double-checked them all and found no errors. If you are seeing the same verification email error message, you likely have the page cached on your browser, device, or with your ISP. Please try again from a new device or location. Your local cache will clear itself in time.

I am rejecting this response because: It is the same "cache" issue response they have provided previously. I have provided details about my log in issues and they have failed to correct them, which should be a relatively easy thing to do. Maybe someone has told someone else the problem was corrected but hasn't been? Unfortunately I have to continue working through this problem - I reject the idea the problem is either on my end or somehow related to my internet provider as I have no problems at all logging into Dynadot accounts, or countless other websites, etc.And the whole issue appears to be - an account is set up and associated with an email address and the business needs to verify it's a "real" email address. I understand that, I do that myself on websites I have built. But once you've received numerous emails from the same email address and corresponded back and forth, the email address is clearly "OK." If one of my clients had a verification issue it would take but a quick look at the database to see that the correct code was associated with their account. I do not see why this is taking so long to resolve but I'm sorry, as of this morning the ndalzell account is inaccessible and so this issue is unresolved.

I repeatedly have reported phishing (posing as amazon) ***S "*********************************" and "*********************************". I looked up the icann information and Dynadot is the registrar that maintains those ***s. Other than auto-replies, I have received no confirmation that the issue is being addressed. These ***s should be taken down IMMEDIATELY and Dynadot held responsible for not being proactive about abuse reports. I have sent MULTIPLE reports over MONTHS for these ***s using their email and webpage form and yet the *** has not been removed from their registrar. Personally, I believe this indicates they're complicit with many of the nefarious activities run through their registrar because they have not done anything to resolve the issue and protect their registrar. If there was an easy way to ban their contributions to DNS I would. They have been the worst violator in regards to phishing addresses on their registrar by a long shot and I'm sick of being ignored by them.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I have made multiple complaints/abuse reports and your response is either impossible or intentionally avoiding the issue. Your "abuse report" page might be broken or malfunctioning if you claim you "cannot find it". Attached is a screen shot I received from one of the reports using your webpage. If you "cannot find the complain" then you need to revise your system.
You are still on the hook to bring those webpages to your abuse team and evaluate removing them because obviously (intentionally or not) it seems you're ignoring or hiding responses to both the ********************************** email and *************************************************** since my multiple requests are "missing". Since these are not effective ways to communicate with you, I implore you to investigate the abuse as part of this complaint. Additionally, you're now on the hook for improving communication with your abuse team since you have now acknowledged that my complaints went unheard.
