2 starsAfter having achieved an almost perfect credit score a few years ago, I hit a wall in my real estate business and fell into debt of around $20,000. I then needed to care for elderly parents, so there was little opportunity to get back to hustling and grinding to pull myself out of the quagmire. I was hearing advertisements for Optima Tax Relief on radio and TV, and was hopeful and optimistic that they could help me reduce my debt. I called and was confident that they were not scammers. They seemed to know what they were talking about and explained the process to me in an understandable way. I agreed to pay them their $4000 fee. After they requested documents from me they began shuttling me from one person to the next, with each one expressing very little acumen in tax law. They seemed to be either trainees or just incompetent. I was not happy when one of them asked my how much I wanted to pay per month with my payment plan. After all the weeks of being shuttled around I was just going to be put into a payment plan with no attempt at a reduction of my debt? I told them that I could have had my regular EA tax preparer do that without having to pay $4000!! I asked for a supervisor who grudgingly told me that their strategy was to show consistency in my ability to make the payments over a one year period. I would pay the $200 per month, then they would attempt to reduce the balance due. I was willing to do that. However, they sent me a Hold Harmless Agreement to sign, which precludes any legal action on my part should they not perform. I called the supervisor and told her I refused to sign it. I am not waiving my rights. The next thing I know I got a call telling me they were ending their relationship with me and that they had fulfilled all their obligations. So, I have a payment plan in place with the *** now, but I am not a happy customer. Save your money. Go to and EA or a CPA that can represent you with the ***.Optima Tax Relief

1 starWent with this company for several reasons and regret it every day. This company is quick to take their money and once they are paid they can care less about your concerns. Ive reached out several times asking for a status update and they refuse to call me back. I do not recommend this company and will encourage anyone looking for back tax issues to use someone else. These people are nothing but scams and when I asked one of the people that answered the phone if they were a scam she replied what do you think . Im truly sick to my stomach.Optima Tax Relief

5 starsGreat! Great! Great! They were very present every step of the way. I recommend them to EVERYONE who has a tax debt. Every time I called I got positive, patient, and professional service. They will be realistic about your situation, and they take you through a series of programs to fit your situation. My debt has been reduced to over ninety-percent, YES ninety, and even at that, they provide a post program. If you want a tax relief service, PLEASE USE Optima!!!Optima Tax Relief

1 starDo not go with this company. At least in my experience from with the main account person who built my trust, stated what would happen in steps and their expertise, and services. Then fast forward to what has been executed none has happened. I dont have a lawyer, I dont have a named case person or contact who manages my case, and when the going gets tough you cannot reach anyone. I mean literally everyone - send Sunny my contract and paying my first three payments, I speak to no one. No one & when I call or email, no one ever has an answer nor accountable. Its like talking to a cloud. Like nothing Ive ever experienced with any company in any industry. sounds juvenile as a term but they ghost you literally. I shouldve been concerned when there were certain things stated in conversations that werent followed ** in an email or writing. So Im summary, for me once youve agreed to pay their fees they are impossible to reach. Im at nine attempts in two days with only one response that entailed promises no one has followed up on. This is through their platform where Ive gotten absolutely zero response, calls, texts, emails and in calling the main # speaking to the representative directly. Mind you - after this write up Im sharing theyre going to respond with details that counter what Im stating but trust me I never give negative reviews Im always about supporting business not taking them down. But I tried on so many occasions to the point Ive been pushed to this. Optima when its important you have to stand by what you say & be honest. I would prefer to be private but I have to share my experience so it doesnt happen to others.Optima Tax Relief
