    When I canceled my
    Membership over the phone with an employee over 2 years ago, I was assured it was taken care of by the employee over the phone. Now, two years later when I look back at the statements, they have been charging me still monthly and want late fees when I haven’t even been there in 2 years. Very bad customer service and very dishonest

    I don't ever write reviews, but feel compelled. DO NOT join this club. Do not waste your money. You've been warned!! If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Horrible customer service. Absolutely appalling. No professionalism, responsiveness or desire to resolve member issues.
    Then there's the actual club...very old and dilapidated building. Water damage in parts with missing ceiling tiles. The equipment has seen far better days. The locker room and showers are absolutely disgusting.
    They have a good outdoor space if we ever go back to lockdowns and working out outdoors. Other than that, I'm really at a loss for something positive.
    If that's not enough, expect to be bombarded with emails, phone calls, text messages and push alerts from their mobile app to refer friends and family.
    For comparable clubs in SV, I would try Gold's or make a trip to LA Fitness in Camarillo. For bare bones in SV, try Planet Fitness. Do NOT join this club! STAY AWAY!

    I swear to goodness, gyms make things so hard. Crunch Fitness - Simi Valley has been charging me for personal training since I asked for my account to be frozen (I actually asked to cancel then and their response was, "just freeze so you keep the promotional pricing".) I thought I did my due diligence to freeze it and they verbally confirmed it was all good and I wouldn't be charged any more. When I called to ask for a refund today after noticing the charges, I was told I wouldn't be getting one because they couldn't see on their end that it was frozen and I didn't have documentation.
    The four personal training sessions that I've paid for I have not used because I didn't know I was being charged. It's interesting how I get emails for every class I take there, but have never gotten an email saying I was being billed for anything.
    Take this for what you will, but if you ever decide to personal train with them and get charged when you weren't expecting to be, just know that you've been warned.

    The employees at crunch are all your friends to sign you up, but when it comes to customer service you are met with canned answers and jargon. Even contacting corporate is jumping through flaming hoops. I travel for work and am met with either paying $250 cancellation fees or having to prove that a center is 25 miles or more away. Anyone in an urban area knows that 25 miles will be over an hour commute. This company has subpar facilities and acts like its Equinox, who doesn’t make it his hard to cancel.
