I spent $5,000 to not get the training I need we have 1 instructor named ******************* outside working with the students and we have the head instructor and another instructor that sit in the annex container for 7hrs everyday to just be here for a pay check. If it wasnt for ******************* students wouldnt be successful in there cdl testing. ******************* should be the lead instructor due to the fact he actually cares about the success of the students and goes above and beyond to make that happen. Thank you for reading my review ******* ** 160 academy

They get their money up front. They do not care to honor their commitments and contracts. I agree with most all of the other reviews. Revolving door of instructors. Trucks not working. They brought a truck that needed maintenance for DMV testing. They didn't teach my son enough, the DMV instructor taught him a basic skill. He failed the first test cause he wasn't taught right. The company then didn't want anything to do with him and he had a hard time scheduling testing after that. He was told he got 3 tries. After the second try they refused to allow a third, said "no it's only 2 tries". ***** couldn't be bothered to return calls, emails or texts. He was unprofessional and rude. The company got paid so ***** could care less about the students. As long as his student numbers are good. He needs training on managing and customer service for sure. There are so many companies out there that will pay you while they teach you to drive and make their trucks available for testing. They train way better than this place. Plus you don't have to pay them $5,000. What a waste of time and money.

First off I enrolled in *******,** branch and was lied to about whole program. I did my class training which was 40hrs then when it was time to hit the field training that's when the nightmare unfolded. No instructors and they leave you unsupervised with the trucks to practice skills with other students. No one would help and the trucks are way outdated and beat to c*** Then they claim you're ready to test but don't give you the tools to pass. I failed my first time due to air brake failure on there truck, the second time I failed due to lack of communication on the skill set offset backing. Never was I told you could do a reset if that skill was wrong. Then when I asked to test on my 3rd try they dropped me from program even thou I had 16 hours still available. When I tested I was at 144 hours. Plus the program is never 4 weeks I was stuck there for almost 8 weeks . Do not waste your money or time with this school you won't be happy nor get the results you hope for. Just say you have been warned. THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY.

I am not happy with the service I received, I feel scammed, You really don't get your 160 hours, the yard is packed with people from amazon, when you practice for skills there's 7-9 people sharing 1 truck so you can only get to practice in a vehicle once or twice every 2 hours!!! If you don't speak up they will not care and they just say "practice pre tip", not to mention driving time, they would take 3-4 people at a time, you would only get 25 to 30 min of driving but they will mark you for an hour, I saved 1/2 a day to practice before my test, since it took 3 weeks to get my appointment, I was scheduled to take my driving test at the *** on 9/27/23, **** the branch manager is almost never available, I tried to reach him on 9/14/23, 9/15/23, 9/18/23 never answered and never returned my call, I was finally able to get a hold of him on 9/19/23, he told me I could go to the yard on 9/26/23 to get my 1/2 day, and when I arrived the lead told me that I need a new drug screening test, I was not aware of that, and because of that I was not able to take my *** test, the school canceled my appointment and now I don't know if its going to take another 3 weeks for a new appointment.**** doesn't work there anymore so no one is taking responsibility for not letting me know about the drug screening and losing my *** appointment. Also the trucks are dirty and old. I do not recommend this school at all.

This is by far the worst truck driving school around... total scam!!!160 Driving Academy in Anaheim, CA and Brent the school director is dishonest and a real slicksters! First and foremost the Anaheim location yard is not in Anaheim, It is located in San Bernardino, CA on a shared yard with limited time and space to train. Currently there are two operable trucks available for the Anaheim students and the rest are all broke down, not to mention there are way too many students. Excellent trainer's but the school and policies sucks! I'm speaking in terms of the fraudulent 160 hours of expected training that I never received and was held accountable for while attending this school. I was recently cancelled along with my DMV appointment for them claiming I went over my 160 hours of training that I did not receive, thanks to the slickster Brent. I was told by this guy if I needed more training/ hours it would cost me an additional $1,200 to continue training. This school will charge you for hours of training when you're not training! Unbelievable! SCAM ! When training, you train as a group with shared hours, you share your 160 hrs with other students, even if you're not training and just observing ...save your money go to a better school. All they care about is money and can care less if you pass or not...oh by the way they just lost another account to go right along with the Amazon account they lost. You WILL NOT get 160 Hrs of Training, And you will be set up to fail…YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
