I was going to purchase a car from this dealership. I advised the managers and staff I wanted to cancel with me going through with it due to them acting shady. They would not hand me the car over, and would avoid me at all costs. They would make up lies that certain workers/managers werent there. They would make fake stories that the car was having, even though it was in perfect shape when I went to go see it. They just gave me the run around after they already had my down payment. After trying so hard to cancel for about 2 weeks. I had gotten everything canceled, got my full deposit back and signed a no harm form from both parties approval. They stated that my credit would not be in any harm and that no payments were going to be due after that day. They said I wouldnt owe anything and that we were set to go. Almost being 3 months in, now Im receiving phone calls from ************** stating I have a balance payment over $30k and that the payments are past due. Keep in mind, the account is active under my name. I explained to the *************** everything and they said Motors direct hasnt made any contact with them or been paying off the balance of the loan when they should be. They advised me to call the dealership, I did and i explained to them my situation and they told me they would take care of it and get back to me. Now being June 25, they never contacted **************** still and its affecting my credit and still remaining balance with an active open account. Once again I contacted the dealership today & I explained to them again but they told me the same thing okay let me take this to my higher *** and well get back to you

We purchased a used car from California Motors Direct on March 5, 2024. At the time of purchase, they wanted to meet their sales quota for the day so they told us if we closed the deal that night, they would still honor any issues that came up in the pre-purchase inspection we had scheduled for the next day as well as a few other pending items that were due for the car. After the pre-purchase inspection was completed, we returned the car to them to complete a repair that was needed and they were supposed to finish up all the odds and ends. We had difficulty getting a clear answer from them on when we could pick our car up. We finally picked it up on March 15, 2024 and they had not fulfilled a few of the odds and ends. They told us the items would be shipped to us and arriving between 3/19 and 3/25. On the 25th when we still had not received the items we were due, we contacted the sales **** *************** and received no response. On 3/29 we reached out again and were told the items were shipped to him and he could drop them off on Sunday 3/31 or Monday 4/1. We set it up to meet with him on Monday at 6pm. On Monday, ****** asked if we could move the meet to Tuesday and we agreed. On Tuesday, we never heard from them and haven't heard from them since. It also appears the work they told us they were going to complete during the 9 days they had our car, was not in fact completed.

Hello I bought a dodge journey with california motors direct. I paid for extended warranty on my car. I paid for 7 years or ******* miles what ever come first. A few months ago my car need a motor so I call the warranty company to have my car fix. It turn out my car was never under the warranty. I contacted car dealer. And they told me they'll would take care of it and contact the warranty place. Then they told to take the car to a mechanic of there choice were they put a motor with more them ******* miles on it. And they took my car from the shop and didn't want to return it to me until I signed a paper saying they would no be responsible for anything else. Witch I didn't sign it and so they didn't want to give me back my car until like 3 hours later. The motor was liking oil since then and they don't want to take care of it. And now it seems to having problems with the transmission. I paid for the extended warranty and they never got for my car. So i would like for them to take responsibility for the car. HOPEFULLY YOU GUYS CAN HELP WITH THIS. THANK YOU

I purchased car on 11/14/2020 and have had to replace normal items (batteries 4 times, brakes, oil changes, tires). A few weeks ago I was driving and car was running hot. I took the car to the **** dealer and it needs a whole new engine for *********. The **** dealer then advised that the car was in a major accident and showed me where the parts of the car don't fit. This includes (The hood. Belongs to a different model fusion, the front grill, lights all belong to a different model. The front and back windows are allowing water penetration as they were replaced but poorly. Then he showed me where the inside has been painted to cover up the fact that this car had been in a major accident. This was not disclosed as I was given a clean car fax report, nothing mentions this car was in an accident on the contract, and I have been paying for a car I never would have gotten if I had known it was in an accident. Now the car is in the shop to fix the engine issue and I am now stuck with no help to resolve this. I have paid ************************************************************************************************************ an accident. At this point I would like this be addressed. I have the car in a shop now replacing the head gasket and a few other parts instead of a new engine as I owe ***** more on this car which is now worth 3000 and the repair costs 2300. I cant even sell this car now because it's been in an accident and all the repairs now are from. Now it's a hazard and I have another 3 years left to pay on it. I called this dealer and explained and they hung up on me after leaving me on hold for over and hour.

See Complaint letter in detail of the issues, including the Amount I am seeking for the New Tires I had to pay to have purchased, installed & mounted as the tires on the car at the time of purchase were not NEw as disclosed to me, but from 2013 and they were unsafe to drive which I did not know at the time, because I just found out I was lied to by the sales girl **** who was fired.

I went to purchase a car and to hold it. One of the representatives asked for $100 deposit and the car would not be sold because it had to be sent to Lexus for two items that I felt were broken on the car. The hundred dollars went through Zelle Which seemed very shady because its attached to the sales persons personal account but he said thats the way they do it! theres no car theres no call Ive called the dealership no one returns my calls Im out $100 I feel its very illegal to do that. I want my hundred dollars back .

I had a very rough experience w this dealership despite very much wanting to buy a car:1. I was in touch w ***** and showed up to see the car I wanted and found out the car was not there but at another dealership. It was a 1.5 hour trip for me there and back 2. I then worked with ****** who went and picked up the car I wanted. I drove back again to see it and it was dirty, had a side panel missing and not on any way ready to buy. Another 1.5 hours. 3. I told ************** was prequalified through my bank and only wanted ONE inquiry through them, instead six inquiries were run on my credit through banks I didnt authorize. I was told by ****** they needed to do this to get me a lower rate w another bank but I did not want this. Additionally this seemed like a lie as when I spoke w *****, the Sales Manager, he told me that the rate I had been approved for was through my bank I authorized.4. I spoke w ***** and told him I wanted the car but wanted an independent inspection, and scheduled this for the next morning. He told me he would not but there but turned all the data over to ********** 5. My inspector showed up the next morning and the car was not ready for inspection as it was getting a tire change. This was even more worrisome as during the test drive w ****** he told me the tires had already all been inspected and handled, so this was another lie. My inspector then had to leave and come back.6. ********* then told me he was sorry and this was a mistake and they would pay for the inspection. The inspector came back that afternoon and did a full inspection and called me to report the findings. The car had water damage in the back, seemed like it had been lived in, had oil leaking and several other faults and flaws that led to me not getting the car. The inspector also pointed out that the dealership knew they were coming and made no effort to clean or get the car fixed up for inspection. 7. The dealership did NOT pay for the inspection and never called me back.

I purchase a Salvage title vehicle from California Motors Direct on June 10,2022, I was assured the vehicle was repaired correctly and was safe to drive on the road. I took the vehicle to Showtime Auto Body shop on Sept 21,2022, for inspection. They found the vehicle had a buckled frame and it was welded. This is in violation of the manufacturer's repair guidelines, and I was told the vehicle was unsafe to drive. I took the vehicle to the dealership on Oct. 4,2022, to verify the repair. They confirmed the repair but refused to negotiate a good faith settlement to resolve the complaint.

I purchased a used car seven weeks ago. After some of the agreed upon repairs were completed, I shipped the car to my house and waited for the title and two missing parts to arrive. It appears they did not have clean title when they sold me the car. I still do not have the title or the parts. The salesman and the sales manager no longer respond to my emails or phone calls.
