      I purchased 2 concert tickets from Thornton Winery to see jazz artist *************************** and & ******************* on April 15, 2024, in the amount of $206.00. When I tried to print the tickets the message said, "You will receive a link to e-ticket via email prior to the performance date." I was under the impression it would only take a few days because normally when you purchase tickets online you receive them right away because it is electronic. I contacted the event Department on May 23, 2024, and was told by ************************* that they had a lot of fraud last year and was trying something different. It is very common for businesses to experience fraudulent activity over the internet, but once money is received you have to produce the product. This wasn't mentioned in the advertisement that your tickets would be delayed because of dishonest people. On May 24, 2024, I responded via email and also phoned event Mgr. *************************, that fraudulent activity over the internet is the FBI territory. On July 8, 2024, I sent another email indicating I need my tickets to be released so that there wouldn't be any interruption at my end. ************************* responded by saying I would receive an email from TIX on July 24th at 7 p.m. The concert date is July 27th, if they are going to hold people tickets for 3 months then the box office shouldn't start selling tickets until the month of the event. Is it legal for ******* Winery to hold event tickets after receiving payment for reasons not indicated in their advertisement.

      Our Events Manager contacted the consumer and explained our company policy regarding our ticket practices.  We recently had a change to how tickets were distributed when purchased vs when delivered due to fraudulent activity incurred last year.  We have contacted the ticket company to change the wording to be more specific on when consumer will receive their ticket. 

      Consumer was contacted and the situation was explained to her in more detail about this situation.  She was satisfied with the explanation.
