In 2023 there was a class action lawsuit that was settled against Honda Motors Corporation regarding a ac shaft seal. The issue is that new refrigerant was used in the ac systems for 2017 to 2021 honda crv models. We have a 2018 Honda CRV. The shaft seal can leak into the system causing major damage to the compressor and ac system failure. In the class action they extended the warranty on the shaft seal and agreed to send notice. We bought in 2023 and we were never notified so that it can be replaced before any damage occurred. They failed to follow the agreement in the class action lawsuit by sending notice of the defective shaft seal. We had previously received notice of a different recall on the vehicle so they do have our information and could have sent notice but failed to do so. Refrigerant leaked into our ac compressor and caused a domino effect of multiple issues with the ac system and it won't work anymore. The dealership has quoted close to $2314. We contacted Honda Corporation and they are only willing to pay for part of the damage which would lead us to have to pay the dealership nearly $700 dollars out of pocket. We should not be responsible for the damage when it was all due to the defective seal and not anything that we did. They did not abide by the settlement agreement of sending notice and are now refusing to cover the entire cost of repair. If we decided to do the repair ourselves, (not through a mechanic or the classic honda dealership we could replace it for around $500 to $600 so giving the dealership 700 out of pocket doesn't make any sense and doesn't help us. We should not have to pay anything. They also won't reimburse us if we do the repairs ourselves. They said we have to do it through a Honda dealership. They need to either pay the full amount of $2314.11 to Classic Honda of Galveston or send us a check directly for the replacement parts including the compressor, discharge hose, replacement of refrigerant, seal totalling around $600.

I am writing request reimbursement for expenses and significant inconvenience caused directly by issues arising from the recent oil pump recall repair performed on my Honda [2018 CR-V] at ***** Honda , *********** Summary of Events: 1. My vehicle underwent the oil pump recall repair at ***** Honda on 4/27/2025. 2. Within days, the Emission System Problem warning light illuminated on the dashboard. 3. Unable to immediately return to ***** Honda, I took the vehicle to local Mechanic ******* foreign car] on May 21. They diagnosed and Computer code suggest to replaced a fuel cap at my expense (**$300.00**), resolving the light temporarily. Receipt attached. 4. The emission light returned shortly after. I brought the vehicle back to ******* on May 27]. Their diagnostic scan **clearly indicated the issue was triggered by the recent recall repair work** performed at ***** Honda. They advised me to return to the dealership. 5. I returned the vehicle to ***** Honda on May 30. 6. The dealership corrected the emission system issue on May 30. When I requested reimbursement for the $300.00 I paid to diagnose and attempt to fix *their* recall-related problem, I was informed that "the repair being done at no cost *was* the reimbursement." This response was dismissive and unacceptable. * The emission system problem was a **direct consequence** of the oil pump recall repair, as confirmed by an independent mechanic's diagnostics. * I incurred **$300.00** in unnecessary costs due to this error. * This situation caused over a month of significant inconvenience: multiple trips to repair shops, time without my vehicle, and the stress of dealing with a recurring problem immediately after a major manufacturer recall repair. * ***** Honda's refusal to reimburse the $300.00 and their dismissive attitude regarding the broader inconvenience compound this negative experience. Therefore, I formally request reimbursement of **$1,000.00**.Honda refused above request.

Since new, my 2023 Honda Accord, Vin ***************** has had an issue with the collision avoidance system. Specifically the BRAKE light will flash off and on and the car will brake. This happens when no other car is around. I have taken the car to several dealers for service but until 6/18/25 they have not documented my complaint correctly. On this occasion they looked at the vehicle and said there was nothing wrong with the vehicle but said they would recalibrate the front camera and radar. I told them that I believed the issue was much deeper than that and today 6/19/25, this happened again. Im approaching ****** miles on my car so Im going to be stuck with a defective car that will be out of warranty. Honda needs to admit these vehicles have a problem and fix them under a recall.

I own a 2015 Honda Pilot. On June 11th, approximately 7:15am I was pulling into a parking spot located at ********************************************************************************. *****. When I was pulling in at a slow rate of speed, I was about 2' from the concrete parking pole, with my foot on my brake my car lunged forward at an accelerated rate of speed. The concrete parking pole stopped me from going through the front doors of the **************** some research I found the following: Software Error Causing Engine Stall/Loss of Power: Fuel Pump Impeller Failure: These issues then relate to an acceleration hesitation/surging problem that has been described as a "2-5 second hesitation" before the vehicle "jumps forward at a rapid rate". This is exactly what happened to me in that parking lot. I was so incredibly lucky that I didn't hit a person or go through the front of the Circle K. I called Honda America at **************. I filed a report, which I was told would have a response within 48 hours. My case# ********. I have heard nothing. I called again today, 6/18/2025 - 3:30pm - I was told that there has not been an adjustor assigned. I was not given an estimate when they will be contacting me, I have to wait for my turn in line, they were not able to tell me how many are in front of me either. I just want my car fixed - it is not drivable. I need a vehicle - This is a very dangerous problem that these Honda's have - I think it is very irresponsible of Honda America, knowing this issue is happening and not dealing with it up front. Thank you, **** ****

I had to replace my transmission in my 2016 Honda Pilot in April. Honda paid $4335.86 and I had to pay $3174.59 of the repairs. I contacted them requesting a refund because it's been well documented of the transmission problems in this year and model. They refused to listen to my concerns because of the age and mileage on my vehicle even though I first reported issues when the car had around 38k miles. I sent several emails and left several voicemails with no meaningful response.

The automatic emergency braking system in my vehicle has repeatedly activated without any visible reason. The brakes engage suddenly even when there are no cars, curves, reflective surfaces, or obstacles nearby. This has occurred on straight, empty roads and in clear conditions. We have previously taken the car to the dealership for issues related to sensors and wiring, and were even told at one point to turn off certain safety features. Most recently, we went through the dealership and escalated the issue to Honda corporate, but they closed our case and claimed there is nothing wrong with the car. I am very concerned that this unresolved issue could lead to the brakes locking up in a dangerous situation, potentially causing an accident.

I bought a 2008 Honda Ridgeline two years ago and right after buying it I was driving down the road and it started making a noise and I turned around and went back home and I looked under the truck and the fuel tank had fell out and was rubbing on the drive shaft and I jacked the truck up to see why it had fallen and when I jacked it up the rear undercarriage fell completely out of it. The frame where it was bolted to was rusted out from the inside and was not visible until it came apart and after looking into the problem I found there is a recall on the truck because of this very issue and I contacted american honda and they sent a tow truck to get it and when the truck came out the driver contacted the dealership in slidell la. And they refused the truck because they were unable to move the truck around and then they told me that I would have to put it back together to get to them and I explained to them that there was nothing to bolt the subframe to because it had fallen apart and then I ended up with health issues and was in and out of the hospital and I was having to pay someone to drive me back and fourth because I had spent everything I had buying this truck . And I finally got to get back to trying to deal with them and I talked to the dealership in ******** ** and they said if I could get it to them they would evaluate it and after paying someone to help me get it on a trailer and get it up there it sat on a trailer a couple of weeks almost three to be exact and now they called and said they could not do anything because they could not get it on their lift safely and now im going to have to get my truck back and the trailer wich I borrowed and I have to pay to get it pulled back to my house and I don't understand how they have a recall on this and because of the recall they are saying that they can't look at my truck and I have no idea how to deal with this problem I'm disabled and I don't understand how I can resolve this situation because the recall
