I purchased a Gateway Computer this year in January 2024. The computer did not work from day one. I filed a claim with customer support. They had me send the computer to them to fix. I March they had the computer. They sent the computer back toward the tail end of April/Early **** The computer still does not work. Now, their tech support wants me to reset the computer again and wipe it out. I asked for money and I had enough. That is over four months without a computer even after it was "checked" by their technicians and sent back as all okay. Crazy. I want my money back plus compensation.Initial Complaint

On Nov 23, 2023 I bought a Gateway Model GWNC21H34-SL laptop from target.com for $129.99 plus tax. It was a Black Friday deal. The laptop was trouble from day one. Constantly lost network connectivity. Finally, the computer completely died. After several Gateway support calls, the *** told me to do a full system restore despite the fact that I would lose all files as well as software that was purchased with a key for only one install. The restore did not solve the problem so they started the warranty process. To fulfill the warranty, they required:Proof of purchase (POP) / receipt as well as the following information:*First and last name.*Phone number.*Shipping address (Cannot be a P.O. box).*A copy of the proof of purchase/receipt (must include the name of the store/seller, date of purchase with year, brand name, or product description along with purchaser's name and shipping address in it).*A close-up photo of the manufacturer's label of the unit showing a clear view of the Gateway ************ with the serial and model number of the device.*Send us a Short Video clip and a few images of the Issue.*Do you have the Original box and the inserts that came with the unit?I furnished all the information that I had which was truly remarkable that I had it all including the box. They have done nothing but stonewall and repeatedly reply with the same message: "The proof of purchase that you have sent is invalid. I request you to please login to the website on the computer or laptop and send a copy of the proof of purchase/receipt (must include the name of the store/seller, date of purchase with year, brand name, or product description along with purchaser's name and shipping address in it)."The only receipt I received was the emailed receipt which I provided to them. It shows all the information they require. After 9 emails asking me for the same info and me replying every time asking what exactly is missing, I decided to file a complaint. Technology Training Program using purchase and product as participant in projects involving increasing battery usage during low task operations for less than 1 hr when unplugged after fully charged since removing from box to ensure product must be plugged in to recharge batteries. 3/15 9:15 AM ************** also takes pushing power button at least three times for computer to respond with longer than a 9 second boot up time, but not to exceed one minute. Main concern is excessively short battery life and unresponsiveness to two power button presses before booting up picture. I purchased a 43 4K UHD Roku ****************************** from **** Club on 12/3/22. The ** stopped working around late July, at which point I contacted ESI customer support, supplied all requested documentation, and was assigned case number # ******. They have failed to address this in a timely manner, citing various excuses when called such as problems with fulfilment and difficulty finding a local repair service. Last week they referred me to a local repair service who, when I contacted them, informed me they had not done television repairs for over a decade. On October 18, 2022, I purchased a laptop advertised as a **** Vaio FE15 from Walmarts online store for $747.93. On August 29, 2023, I contacted the customer support number on the back label of the laptop because the laptop screen no longer worked. After the call I received an email from customer support asking for some basic information to begin the warranty claim process. After numerous calls and emails I have been left with nothing but unfulfilled promises. As of today, I have still not been given instructions on where or how to send the laptop back for repair or replacement. At this point I just want some money back so I can replace the screen myself. However, I think I will settle for a laptop from the company that actually works. FYI - on one version of the **** Vaio *** website, the company is listed as 2023 E&S International Enterprises, **** I saw a version with the year 2022 and Trans Cosmos *******, *** as the company.I am not attaching any of the documentation because the company has already been sent this info. I purchased 2 Gateway computers from ******* on December 17, 2022. My daughter's computer started cracking and the lid wouldn't close we tried to have it repaired but the computer tech says it can't be repaired because the molding or something internally is broken. I have spoken to someone at Gateway support twice trying to get this matter resolved. I have forwarded pictures twice, because they say the pictures are too blurry to see. I have uploaded these photos so you can see they are not blurry. I think they are trying to get out of settling this. I would like a full refund for $161.96.Initial Complaint

I brought a gateway laptop in November 2022. The laptop stop working after 4 months. Gateway had me to send the device back because it was still under warranty. They sent a new device 30 days later which is defective and doesnt work at all. Wont even turn on when powering. I had to put in another repair order. Its been 30 days now and I havent received a prepaid postage to send the device back. This company has poor customer service and selling defective products. This is a scam, they dont want to refund me my money back they just keep sending defective devices. Im going to talk to the courts to see if I can *** them. I have been without my laptop for months which I need to work. This is unacceptable and they know their products are no good but theyre still selling them. This company needs to be shut down.
