    Feb 16, 2023 I made an online purchase at MJC for door hardware for $130, and this was charged to my card. On Feb 17 I received notice of "your order is on the way." Two weeks later I tried to contact the company for an update, since shipping still said "awaiting item." Methods available to contact the company were: online chat, online message submission, email, and "just shoot us a text." I tried all of these with no reply to any. I called the texting number and got a recording (with no option to leave a voicemail) saying that texts would be answered in about 24h. Never happened. No chat response; no online message response; no email response. No phone number was provided to speak to a person or leave a message. Following my attempts to contact the vendor, I received an automated-appearing email (see uploaded copy) saying the order had been cancelled and showed status as "refunded." I replied to that email, and to others I found ************************ asking why the cancellation. No replies to multiple communications over the past week. I realize that businesses seldom process refunds promptly (it has not been a week yet), but the absolute lack of response made me question the business itself. A search of CA Sec of State shows it in active status and in good standing with the **** but some annual information is missing. I am still receiving promotional email, so they know how to reach me. My complaints relate to the astoundingly poor - nay, ABSENT - communications and the impossibility to reach the vendor, and the as-yet refunded money. I am filing a claim with my credit card holder. Trader ***'s is the major tenant at that address; I think I will call them tomorrow and see what I can learn about MJC. Despite all my efforts to contact the business, I now would rather not communicate with it at all except as relates to my refund.
