April 16, 2024 - this company has not provided an order number, when calling to get an order number or status of if they have this book, I have never received anyone to answer the phones. This is a high priority book and I need it for graduate school. I have found the book elsewhere and received an immediate order number. My credit card company cannot cancel the transaction without hearing from company. Right now there is a pending charge that I want released by this company. I ordered a textbook about learning sign language to give as a Christmas gift. I received the book and it was full of black mold. I have contacted the company via phone 4 times and left messages and contacted them 9 times via email. I returned the book and have confirmation that the company received it and proof of this. The company still hasn’t issued a refund. Next steps will be legal due to the book having mold and it will cost them a lot more than what they’re keeping from me.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I tried numerous times to contact this company with no response or replies to help do this more efficiently. Their policy states that shipping will be refunded and shipping fees to ship the book back will be refunded and neither of those fees were refunded. I lost money and time working with this company that I will never recommend to anyone and will warn everyone against. I also have proof and a lot of footage of the true state of this textbook and all of the numbers on the book, receipts, verbiage from website, etc. they could’ve avoided this all happening very easily. This was very preventable just through simple communication and follow through of policies.

I rented a book from here. They never sent me an order number or a tracking number. I don’t where the book is or if it’s even coming. I have no information. I can’t get in contact with them through there website. The customer service messaging system just gives me an error. And the phone number is clearly not a company phone. It just rings. I’m concerned I’m being scammed. But I have no way to properly dispute this as I have no way to properly get in contact with them. The book I rented was Career Counseling a holistic approach. My daughter ordered a book from this company on 09/07/2023 for $25. It was to rent the book and return it. We have not received it. Called multiple times not answer. I sold a book with ISBN# 97*********31 and a sellback order number 2038 to everytext.com and was required to send the book via the shipping label that was sent to me. The order date was 3/22/23 and the book was sent on 3/24/23 . The tracking showed that the books were delivered on 3/27/23. However, per the contract, I was supposed to receive payment of $42.26 within 4 business days. Today is 5/2/23 and still no payment or any form of communication from everytext. I have called and left more than 10 voicemails and their website does not allow for emails to be sent to them despite trying several times unsuccessfully. This is a shabby way of doing business. I completed a sellback of a book in mint condition (still in original shrink wrap) to everytext.com on 9/22/22 and used their prepaid shipping label to ship it to them on 9/23/22. I never heard anything from them and could not send them a message via their website as I kept getting an error message. I called them and a man finally answered on 10/13/22 and said that they did receive the book but it needed to go through processing and then I would receive my check in the mail. I have yet to receive the check (1/21/23) and no one will answer the phone. I have left several voicemails asking them to call me back regarding this issue but have not gotten a single reply. My last message warned them that I would have to file a complaint if they did not respond. This company owes me $67.34 for the book.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
The buy back contract was for the ISBN#978*******391 which is the number I entered on your buy back website that you quoted an offer (based on that ISBN#) for $67.34. In addition, I NEVER received any email, phone call, no correspondence whatsoever from you explaining ANYTHING. If you no longer find a need for that book then send it back to me but postage paid by YOU based on the fact that you are breaking the contract, not me. I put the ISBN# into YOUR system and that is the price you quoted based on that exact ISBN#. If you erroneously made the quote then you should have returned the book back to me instantly. I sent this book back on 9/23/22 and never received any communication since then. For 4 months you have been keeping the book without payment OR an offer to return it. Either pay the quoted amount for ISBN# 978*******391 which was $67.34 or simply return the book to me.

Please read this CAREFULLY:
We DID quote you $67.34 for ISBN: 978*******391. However, you did NOT send this ISBN to us.....as stated previously, you sent us ISBN 978-1305580343 which has a similar title but does not contain any access code package. The ISBN you sent to us has no value (please check this on Amazon). Again, we provided you with links to both the ISBNs for comparison in our previous response.
To reiterate: you entered an ISBN and we gave you a quote of $67.34 for that ISBN, and then you sent us a completely different ISBN (with similar title and author) which has no value. Books are sold on the basis of their ISBN. We gave you a quote for a particular ISBN and you sent us a wrong ISBN. We already lost shipping money to get the book from you. If you want this book back, you will have to pay the $7.99 shipping costs. We can pay you $10.00 for the wrong book as an alternative.
I really hope you have understood the issue now.

I am rejecting this response because:I would like for this merchant to send me a picture of the isbn on the book I sent him because the one I have written down that I entered is the one he is saying is $67.34. I am not sure if there are multiple isbn numbers on a book but the one that was on my book was what I entered. I am very confused as to why he is saying it has a different isbn number than the one I entered.

I rented a book on line in Sept 2022 from Everytext.com and also purchased and rented 2 books from Booksrun.com. When I received the book from Everytext.com there was no packing slip or a return address other than the one on the outside of the pkgs. I had no idea they purchased the book from Booksrun and had them mail it to me. So at return time Nov 14 I mailed it back to Booksrun in PA. Man named Matt called me from Everytext.com and threatened to put a big charge on my credit report. I showed him the receipt and address for the return on a photo. He told me if he didn’t have the book in 2 days it will go on my credit report. I am in process of getting book from PA to send back to CA, but no one at Everytext.com will not answer the phone or email! According to reviews these folks are terrible to deal with and insulting and never answer the phone!
I’m afraid if I send the book back they will not acknowledge receipt and still have the gouging amount on my credit report. This could all be handled properly if they would answer their phone or email!
My grandmother, M*** **** ****** had me put the charge on her credit card initially and don’t want trouble for her either.
I want to report them and ask what is my recourse? Get them to call me!

I ordered a book from this company for a summer class. Once I completed the order that day I changed my mind and tried to cancel the order. I called the company several times within 30 minutes of placing the order however nobody ever answer the phone. I also tried to send a message through their server however it would always say error or would give me some other reason as to why I couldn’t send a message through their server. They advertise that they have their email on their website however they do not. I disputed the first charge with my bank that came through because I never even received the book. This company has continued every month to charge my card for a book that not only did I never receive but I also tried to cancel the order and there was no way to possibly cancel the order when their customer service never answers their phone. I’m including screenshots of where I tried to reach out to them through their website to show that it is Impossible to contact them. I want $140 that I was charged up the last three months return to my account and I want no more charges put me forward. The customer rented a book from us which was shipped and delivered to her on July 18th with USPS tracking 9449*********851301656. We have been asking her to return the book ever since but the book has still not been returned. The customer filed an illegal chargeback against the original rental payment for which we had to pay $35.00 in "investigation fees" in addition to losing the payment. At this point, we have charged the purchase price of the book and the order has been closed. However, if any payment is disputed, we will have to file a legal action and send this account to a collections agency for a total of $480.00 plus collection fees to recover our funds and property. As far as we are concerned; this order and the issue is closed at this point.

If the complaint was read and the documents provided were looked at, you would've seen the parts where the customer service forum you guys provide does not work whatsoever and I tried calling you guys several times to cancel the order before it was shipped. I also tried cancelling it on the website, but the website was not working and it wouldn't let me cancel the order after five minutes of even placing the order. I called again the next day and not once was the phone ever picked up. To be added, you guys asked me to return a book that I never received. On July 28th I responded to the email that was sent to me saying I never received the book. When you guys called me asking about the book I told you guys again I never received the book. Just because you have a tracking number doesn't mean I received it. How is it an illegal chargeback when a company doesn't respond to a customer and charges them for a book that was never recieved making it seem like the company is fradulant. I have been charged three times by you guys for a late return fee and the book price fee even though the property was never received. I would also like to discuss how the few times I've been able to get a response out of you guys it has been nothing but people ignoring what I've said and volatile rudeness in responses.
