On January 6, 2023, *************************** from Closet World, came to my home and **** up how to organize my closet with their builders. The advertisement said they would finance. My girlfriend gave her credit and they qualified us for $4,200. They asked for 20% down which we didnt have and they accepted 10% down which was $598. They set a date for installation January 20, 2023. I am client #*******. ******* stated they would call before they come. On January 11, 2023 ******* called and needed more paperwork signed. We set up January 13, 2023 to sign. On January 19, 2023 no one called from Closet World to state what time they would arrive to install. On January 20, 2023 no one called, no one came, no nothing, so l called Closet World and was told, it stated pending and there were no management to speak to me. I called Closet World again on the 21st and again left message and was told no management was there to speak with me. On Monday morning l called again January 23rd and was told a manager would call me. At 5:39pm, ***************************** from Closet World called and stated they needed more money $1,200 before they could do installation. l stated thats not what was agreed upon and asked for my money back and cancel everything $598. He said, its over 3 days to cancel and he couldnt refund my money. Now lm out of $598, my closet is torn apart and not repaired. I will NEVER do business with this company. My Installation was 7/28/2022. The craftsmanship is Terrible! ****************** came apart in my hand as I was opening the drawer. This issue took place on January 18th 2023. That's about 6 months later. The closet has a 7 year warranty, and Closet World is charging me $ 300 to repair their faulty craftsmanship. This Closet in total cost me $4,000 and they asked me to pay more money to rectify the situation. This is not what the customer should receive when doing businessBusiness Response

I ordered a closet solution with a designer who came into my home measured and looked at my closets and confirmed a solution they would put together. She scheduled me for January * which was late since this was for my brand new baby.I got a call saying it would be rescheduled because they had health issues with their installers. One month later with an infant I had my third appointment, and the man came. I answered the door to the installer saying bad day while wheezing. He said he couldnt do the installs of either closet because of his asthma. He told his supervisor he couldnt because of my old closets. He also said the designers are bullshitTo which I wonder why the company doesnt have the installers come with them. Ordered a closet on 12/03/2022. We were charged 10% downpayment of $309.60 on 12/04. Installation was set for 01/20/2023. We heard nothing from Closet World before installation date. On installation date, we called to find out when we should expect installers. Closet World had difficulty finding our account. The informed us it was "pending" but weren't sure why. Over the next week and a half since then we have called 12+ times trying to speak with someone who can help us figure out what the status of our account is and get to installation as quickly as possible. Individuals on the phone are not "sales managers" and thus tell us they are unable to do anything further other than send an urgent notification to the "sales managers" to call us. None have done so. They also have told us they can't refund our money if we wanted to do so, only a sales manager can. However, no sales manager will call us and we have no way of getting a hold of one. We would like to be contacted by a sales manager who can finally help us resolve this issue so we can either have the job finished or be refunded.Business Response

Closet World Designer came over and took measurements of our two closets on 12/30/22. The designer spent two hours with my wife talking about his life and created a hand sketch on graph paper that is not to scale and what he thought was the best plan for the two closets. Initially I met the designer when he was taking the measurements and stressed that since the closets are small we would like to maximize the use of the spaces. The designer assured us that we should trust him and that we are in good hands. However we were never taken upstairs to see exactly what his measurements meant. He insisted that he has been doing the designing for 12 years and that both closets will be customized to our need. We signed the contract and yesterday 1/25/23, the installer came out and took off the borders on the floor of both closets and told us not to worry that he will fix it all. Once he was finished with the installation, we noticed there are two 12 inch space on each side of each closet that is unused and wasted. We mentioned this issue to the installer and he agreed that the design plan was erroneous and that the shelves next to these spaces should have been longer or that the designer should have put 12 inch shelves in those spaces on each side of both closets to be utilized for shoes. Also since the installer took out the floor borders, there are cuts in the wall of the closets. We contacted the Closet World office and the installation manager told us that he has reviewed the design and he sees the issue, but he can throw in some belt holders in that space for free, and that his boss does not want to resolve this issue. When we told him that the space is not accurately specked, he said to call the designer. We called the designer and he said he would charge us more to come out and that he can't do anything and we should call their office. He got nasty. We've left several messages for the management team and no one has called us back. We sent pictures of the damaged walls where the installer had cut, and pictures of the 12" spaces on each side of the closet. (Both closets) to the install manager. No one is calling us back. When we met initially, We were told they want our business and our satisfaction is important to them, but now that they got paid for the entire amount, and no one cares.Business Response

I have made multiple attempts between September - December of 2022 to get in touch with a manager regarding my project. My salesperson, ******* after telling me he would be my go to person, informed me that I needed to speak with corporate regarding any changes to my order. Everything that came out of ******** mouth was a lie. He informed me that I would not be charged a full deposit and I was. He informed me that changes could be made, but so far I haven't been able to get ahold of anyone to know if that is possible. I never received the order and no one returned my called except for one manager who left me a very ********* ********* voicemail telling me about my long email to them and to call back but then he never returned my call. it have been almost 5 months and this company has robbed me of ******** and refuses to respond to general inquiry and no service has been delivered since the contract was signed on ********* Their sales person put a lot of pressure on me to sign or the "great deal I was getting would be gone". Then he and the company refused to respond. I have been getting soliciting calls from them for additional services but none will contact me about the service I never received, the sales people always call around **** which is extremely rude in my option. The contract I signed is extremely confusing and I received two almost completely different copies of the contract. I'm increadibly disappointed that a company would allow their sales people to mislead their customers. When their contract states that verbal agreements are not valid but the sales person still makes false promices? All I want is my contract canceled and my money refunded. I didn't receive my order and your company never followed through which voids your contract which is contradictory anyway between the two copies I received. On December 29th Closet world came to install 3 closets and 1 pantry in my newly remodeled home that is being fully renovated.They had 4 installers in the home and one of them used the upstairs bathroom which will belong to my 1 year old son. While using the restroom one of the installers defecated and urinated, but did not have any toilet paper.The installer proceeded to use styrofoam from the packaging of the brand new toilet to clean himself. He flushed it down the toilet and some of it even came back up the toilet with markings left on it, which was left in there for me to see. There was urine all over the sides of the toilet on brand new white tile. The installer also used the brand new handheld fixture from the shower to clean himself with as well. This made water go all over the floor and his boots got wet and left dirt everywhere on the brand new white tile as well. Till this day there are still yellow stain marks on the brand new tile from the urine that will not come off.I spoke to the District manager and all he offered to do was pay for the cleaning service for the bathroom. He also told me that he would call me back to resolve the issue further but never called back. It has been over 2 weeks now since I last spoke with him, and every time I have tried calling him it goes straight to voicemail. I left him a voicemail and still never heard back. I spent $22,310 on the pantry and closets. This is one of the most disturbing and unsanitary things I have ever witnessed, and it is a bathroom my son will have to use for the rest of his life. It is something that will always be in the back of my mind when using that specific bathroom. I am very unhappy and disturbed by what happened and expect a full refund for what me and my family had to deal with that day.Business Response

To whom it may concern,Closet World has failed to fulfill our order and provide us with the quality product that was ordered and expected to be installed. Our issues are as follows below:1. Original order was placed on November 16, 2022 and placed into pending as per the sales reps *********** to physically see the house and take measurements. The sales rep scheduled an appointment for December 5, 2022 at 5PM to meet at the home for all measurements.2. The sales rep failed to show up on December 5th as scheduled and we had to call her and find out where she was. She provided a list of excuses but finally showed up at 6:30 after we demanded she meet us at the house.3. All deposits were made on December 5th and our order was to be moved from pending to installation. ********************************* sat on our order for a week before moving it, and only moved it due to my numerous calls to installation asking for updates and schedules as we needed our closet and pantry installed by the end of the year (as per the verbal guarantee made by the sales ************************************* Numerous emails and phone calls were made to both ***** and *******, none of which were returned.4. On December 20th we were informed that the countertops we had ordered were no longer available and we had to select different countertops. The sales rep sent over a catalog of options, most of which were also unavailable. Again, numerous emails and phone calls to *****, the supposed sales manager, and none of which were returned.5. Installation was scheduled for January 12 and 13, 2023, as written in our contract. On January 5, 2023 at 16:52 a text confirmation was received and confirmed regarding the installation. On January 12, Closet World failed to show up and failed to call, we had to call Closet World to find out where the installation crew was. We were informed that we had been rescheduled to a one day installation on the 13th and that Closet World had called and confirmed that change with us, claiming they spoke with a woman and confirmed. This is a bold lie, the only contact number is my cell number, I am the only one that answers it, and based upon my call log provided by ******* Cellular, there were no calls from Closet World made to my cell phone or received by me.6. On January 13th the installation crew did not arrive until after 1PM (as per our main entry gate security log). We were immediately informed that the installation would not be completed in one day and they would be required to return on Monday (not an option).7. During the installation of the closet it was noticed that what was being installed is not what was ordered and immediate calls were made, yet no manager would call me back. The installation team continued against our will, the installation team was notified that we were not accepting the installation, we were not accepting the product, and we would not sign any documentation. In fact, we documented our refusal and notification of incorrect materials on the Closet World paperwork. This closet and installation were refused and not accepted. A. The closet did not have any of the backing that was to be installed. B. The two laundry hampers were not as per the drawn dimensions (they were to be window height). C. The hampers cannot be opened as they hit the other portions of the closet materials. D. The closet was installed directly over a heating vent.8. In reviewing what the installation team had in regards to the pantry it was noted that those materials were incorrect as well and they were told to take them back.9. The installation team set up in my garage and made a mess of everything, it took six hours to properly clean the garage after they left. Please note that the garage had just been epoxied and painted the week before their arrival and they left dust and debris everywhere.10. Over the last 30+ days NUMEROUS emails and phone calls have been left for *****************************, *******************************, and other Closet World **************************** all of which have been unanswered and unreturned. At this point in time this email is to serve as an official notice of cancellation of this contract and a demand for full refund of all deposits paid. Closet World has failed to honor its original contract, failed to respond to any emails or phone calls, and failed to meet any timelines. We are now out well beyond the original promised installation, we do not have the product that was designed and ordered, and we are out of lost days of work/pay as well as additional time and money cleaning up the mess left by the Closet World installation team.Once our refund is received Closet World can pick up all the incorrect materials left at our house on January 13, 2023. I responded to an ad in December 2022 for Closet World AKA Closets by Design for a closet system design and installation in my master closet. On 12/16/2022 I committed to a design with an installation date of January 5th. I was instructed that a time frame would be provided the day before. I was never contacted. I prepared the closet per instructions. I contacted the 800 number listed and was given a window of 12- 2 pm . I took time off of work and waited until 4pm before contacting the 800 number only to be informed that "they were running late and would arriving between 5 and 6 pm". After being informed that installation would take two to 4 hours, I declined and rescheduled for January 17th at 10:00AM with the assurance I would be the first installation of the day ensuring completion in a timely manner. January 16th, I receive a courtesy notification of installation to take place between 2 and 4 pm. I reached out and spoke to ****, Installation Manager to request the scheduled time of 10 AM. I shared my experience on the 5th and did not want a repeat leading to another attempt at a late installation. Again, I took time from work and waited all day. At 1 pm I spoke to **** again who stated the installer would arrive by 4 and the job could be completed timely with two installers. I informed **** if the installer did not arrive by 4 pm I would not continue with the contract and would request a cancellation with full refund of my deposit. At 4 pm I received a call informing me the installer would arrive by 430pm. The installer arrived at 5:30, alone and informed us the job would take 4 hours minimum. After notification that the installer was to arrive after 4 pm I reached out to **** to request a refund and cancellation as Closet World aka Closets by Design failed to complete the contract as agreed twice. I was informed that he was gone for the day. I asked for his supervisor's name and contact information as **** had agreed to provide in previous conversation. I was provided a name of **** and after a 20-minute wait on the phone I was told I was being transferred to his voicemail. The call was terminated by the employee of Closet World aka Closets by Design. This company has breached the contract and I am requesting cancellation with a full refund of my deposit. On both scheduled days of installation. I was given an AM installation time when scheduled. On both days installation attempted to arrive at my home after 5pm to complete a job that is estimated to be 4 hours. The installation requires using a saw which would impact my neighbors well past an appropriate time. I have no faith in the scheduling of an AM time as you failed twice. We moved into our new, overpriced home in May. The home was missing closets and we felt like we couldn't really fully unpack without some sort of closet organization, at least in the master closets. We can across a few ClosetWorld ads and since they were quick to reply to our inquiries (red flag #1) we had them come out for a consult. ******* showed up to our house and was rather polite but she lacked much imagination. She measured our closets and drew out the designs on a graph paper tablet.... Who knew those were the actual designs! ******* sold us pretty hard on the product and the prices going up soon, so we signed the dotted line. She did not give us a good explanation on ANYTHING. She gave a single sheet with some info and went on her way, failing to tell us that WE should have put walls prepped before they came from the install. The day of installation ONE guy showed up. He was actually really nice but he showed up with damaged, scratched and dented drawers and panels... and still proceeded to install them even after I pointed out all the damage! Here's the best part of all this. They do explain they will be cutting into your baseboards, but what they don't explain is that they are going to leave your walls looking completely destroyed! That's right; they pulled our baseboards and the original shelving and them just installed the new pieces over destroyed drywall!!!! Our closets looked hideous. The material was cheap, damaged, the drawers didn't glide smooth and most certainly didn't align properly. I've taken videos, pictures and emailed the management over 10 times and no one has responded to me at all! One manager said he was going to work on a solution and went radio silent. I called the original sales person who said she can't help me because sales and install don't communicate.... What? I read A LOT of bad recused about ClosetWorld and am so sad I was 100% ripped out and put over $6k! They are a total scam with no customer service.Business Response
