Absolute nightmare! I planned a move months in advance with "Southern Guarantee" who swore up and down that they've been in business for so long and there's be no problems. Went over my inventory several times and was told I was well below the minimum cubic feet. Day of moving, "map express logistics" (thieves, scum of the earth, criminals), ups my pice by thousands of dollars to move a small studio from California to Colorado. They extort my money and tell me I won't get my stuff til I pay them. A month later they throw my stuff to the curb because I wouldn't pay extra (on top of the thousands dollars more they extorted from me), for the steps he has to take from the truck to my place. Several things stolen and damaged. Get these people out of this country, we DO not need these kinds of people on this planet.

I booked them through a broker. Come move in day, a man comes up and inspects my stuff. He gives me the same skit that the previous 25 1 star reviews experienced. "Hey you booked X cubic feet of stuff with the broker, but in actuality, you have 2X cubic feet. This move is going from $2600 to $4900". I told the guy to his face he was full of it and and I was still well under X. He said "when we book off cubic feet in the semi, functionally we cannot stack your stuff from floor to ceiling, because everything at the bottom will get damaged. Also you're bringing a peloton, we can't stack anything on that either. Therefore, your cubic feet goes up". He then calculates a new total based off of 2x cubic feet. He then says, since the cubic feet go up, the price for the "long carry" goes up. Again, this is BS because functionally my space may be up based on his logic, but its the same amount of stuff. When I push back on this, he says "You're moving today. how is your stuff going to get to Texas if you're leaving tomorrow. I'm going to leave since you don't want to pay for an inaccurate estimate by the broker who wasn't here. The longer we stay here, the more we have to charge you because we blocked off 3h for your loading, and now you're arguing." He also said when can you pick the stuff. I said I would be free on July 25, and he said, ok we can get it to you by the end of the month. So on the delivery day, he writes first date available 7/25/22, and then he writes /31/22 for delivery, and I sign the contract. When they finish loading my stuff, I realized I was taken for a ride because he wrote 9/31/22 instead of 7/31/22. Also, when looking at his description of the inventory, he put literally everything was chipped/scratched/damaged, when it wasn't. Luckily my stuff came (2 weeks) and stuff was damaged but not stolen. I was lucky, as folks have had stuff taken OUT of boxes reportedly. Avoid these scammers. And also avoid Concorde Van lines (broker who contracts them)
