RUN FAR AWAY! They ran my credit, which had a negative impact, and harassed my employer and three previous landlords. Then, when I called them for an update on my approval process, she was extremely standoffish and rude and canceled my application without my approval ($50).Are you not allowed to call them and ask for an update? Theres a reason theyre rated 1 star. I have never seen a business with a lower rating.

FIRST, 0 Stars if I could. BEWARE!!! Staff is unprofessional and rude. I own multiple properties in multiple states and they are by far the worst. I have been a tenant of their properties and have experience with them as a property owner. They have no idea what they are doing. Maintenance requests take forever and often don't show up till days later when you aren't home and they blame you for it not being done. Properties are in disarray and often have ongoing projects by tenants working on the property because they don't do it themselves. Gardening, Painting, Cleaning, and Maintenance are not off the table as (do it yourself), I have personally had to fix or call someone to accomplish a job they should be doing. Their staff is poorly trained and have no idea how to actually manage a property. They are glorified bill collectors and treat you as such. Most are rude, dismissive, personally entitled and don't understand customer service. They all hold "**********************" titles so they can all be disrespectful and dismissive when it doesn't go as they plan with no "upper management" to answer to as recourse. Stay clear of this company at all costs, most recent disagreement in which they had no idea what was going on was the payment systems that they outsource to a 3rd party and have 0 payment control. They charge late fees when they CRM is down or does not function properly and always blame the tenant. When I said I could *** them for certain practices, I was told I "cant pay rent, so what can I actually do" when I could buy the entire multi family property in cash. Never know who you are speaking to and basic respect and courtesy is lost to this entire staff. Investors beware, they scam for pennies as often as possible and you'll have a hard time with tenant retention with such poorly trained and behaved staff!

I just moved in to a property managed by North Oak and its been incredibly frustrating and stressful. I was told on their website, on the listing, and from the realtor that there was parking available, and on the day I was offered a lease I was told there was no space available yet. I told my realtor this was a deal breaker for me, as parking in *********** is very difficult and I didnt want to be in the situation of finding parking for hours late every night as a young lady. I was told by the realtor there would be a wait to move in for under a month, but someone was working on it. This convinced me to sign the lease, and several weeks later I was told nothing is available with no time frame for the wait. Now I am stuck in the situation I explicitly communicated I did not want to be in, and its making my living situation very stressful. There are no parking alternatives available that have the flexibility I need to work and go to school in the evening. Additionally, I have been trying for the entire month Ive lived here to get basic maintenance requests done: receiving a key for my mailbox, getting a standard wifi cable installed. I have had to follow up repeatedly with them, and I was just sent an email stating I would be charged to either receive a copy or entire replacement for the mail key that I was never given at all. No one has followed up with me about the cable, and Ive had to cancel my internet service after still paying for an entire month because I still cant use it yet. The apartment is beautiful and well done, and my realtor was incredibly thorough and kind. I believe the issue is with the company. If you have an alternative to using their services, I strongly recommend you take it.
