I had my roof replaced in November 2024 by RJI Professionals. They did a great job and completed it in one day. All paper work was completed and done professionally and they promptly responded to all my questions. I am a single, older lady and I found that my trust in them was well founded. My HOA had many requirements and *** followed those requirements perfectly.

We sold our house and the buyers wanted a new roof. *** came around door-to-door, similar to the fly-by-night outfits. We fell for it. They completed the roof in 2 days (almost $35,000), the money for the roof was accounted for in the settlement sheet at closing - they were paid for what they did, and we thought the matter was settled.Three months after the roof was finished, and we had moved to another state, *** gave us a final invoice for an additional $6,000!When I asked them what additional work they had completed to warrant this extra money, they admitted that they had done no further work. They simply claimed that the contract gave them the right to collect additional funds since the insurance company had made an additional payment to us. They have you sign an initial contract, but it is a "non-contract", contract. It is a contract that allows them to come to you with their hand out for more.I have saved their emails in case they want to dispute this fact.Thousands of dollars, right out of my pocket, for DOING NOTHING!. I bet every business wishes they could get away with that!As I see it, an ethical/honest company would not do this to their ************ very cautious in dealing with ***. They play the "gotcha" game and quote their non-contract as justification.

      Hello *****,

The final invoice that was emailed to you represented the total insurance settlement amount less the work we did not complete on the insurance claim with no out of pocket cost to you except your deductible, which we cannot waive or rebate by law, and upgrading your shingle that you agreed to in writing. Under no circumstances can RJI, or any other contractor, invoice an insurance carrier for work performed and then charge you a lesser amount for the same work performed without committing insurance fraud. The remaining $6,046.15 that you referenced represents a payment issued by your insurance company for the agreed upon amount for the work RJI completed and is not an out of pocket expense to you.

Be careful when dealing with RJI. Watch your final invoice. They tried to collect on items they did not complete. They also quoted $1,000. for an emergency tarp on my business. I have this in writing. They charged $1,800. to the insurance company and kept it even after being questioned about it. They refused to subcontract work with a company that I preferred over a company that charged more for HVAC services. This company is highly unprofessional. The roof damage was in May of 2023 and didn't get completed until approximately June of 2024. The emergency tarp did absolutely no good as water still leaked into the building during storms. I was advised there was nothing further they could do. Again, be very cautious if you plan to use them. I believe them to be very untrustworthy.

      *******************,

While we appreciate all feedback, the information you provided is both misleading and inaccurate. *** performed and invoiced for the scope of repairs that was provided by your Insurance Carrier.RJI was more than willing to use the **** company you provided but that company was unwilling to provide proof of insurance, the correct scope of work, was not approved by your Insurance Carrier, and they did not want to work with a general contractor. We forwarded you the written correspondence in writing from the President of the **** company stating they did not want to do the work and that is out of our control. Additionally, to provide the facts of the timeline correctly as per the written and signed documentation we have on file, you signed a contract with RJI on June 30, 2023. We didnt receive an approved estimate from your Insurance Carrier until October 13, 2023. You signed the final scope of work on October 18, 2023. All work except the special ordered metal roofing and gutter material was completed by December 6, 2023. The special ordered metal and the total install was complete on February 7, 2024,the very soonest we could after receiving it from the manufacturer. You were contacted by the project management team for the last time on February 8, 2024 in which you stated all the work was fine and you had no additional concerns before being handed off to the finance team for billing. We hope you have a better day and thank you for the feedback.

I have used RJI after hail storms both in 2012 and again in June, 2023. There was over $25,000 worth of work that had to be done and it was done professionally and to my satisfaction. For every task that was completed there was always a follow up to check and see if I was satisfied. The customer comes first. I hope to not have to go through this again but if so, I will again use RJI...

A year attempting to deal with RJI was a disaster. I also referred 11 of my friends and neighbors to them and that was my mistake. Ive heard from many of them that they were unhappy as well. It took close to 1 year to get things approved and complete. The pricing was insane. *** said it would be $12,000 to paint my house,,,, I got 5 quotes that were all $7000 and under. I was forceful with them to get things scheduled... We started working with *****... he was hard to get ahold of and hard to get a response from. When he quit the company I was told we were assigned someone else and never ever heard from that person. I had to constantly call the main # and email the people in finance to get somebody's attention. They did my roof , gutters. After the roof was done (a few months later) we got rain and it was coming thru my ceiling in my laundry room. Apparently the anchor holes were never patched. The guy that came to fix that as nice and showed up when he was supposed to. I ended up pulling out of the contract for the windows and fence. It was easier to do it myself. I spent so much time chasing down people at RJI... would have saved me so much more time if I just did it all myself. The storm was over a year ago and many of my friends still do not have the work done by ***. Many employees have worked with me and my friends and when they leave RJI the customers are not notified and not contacted by anyone else. You would think a company would reach out to their customers to advise them in advance.
