**** is my internet and phone provider. In July they sent a notice of "an upcoming rate increase due to *** deregulation of certain sevices from third party vendors. We may incur a cost increase on your billing cycle." I was paying ******/month for services (3 phone lines and internet) for my small buisness which provides daycare for ******* students in the ******** area. When I opened my August bill it was for 16, ****** for one month of service. I called as I thought this was a mistake as it is a 1600%+ increase in price. I have emailed multiple times and they will not work with me. They then billed me for September and my bill is now over 34k. I have since disconnected services in September and switched to *******. Is this legal behavior? How can a small buisness survive this and how is this ethical? Can you please help me with this? Thanks so much-******* ******** *************** of **********

We canceled all services with Allstream/Zayo as of November 30, 2023, and duly informed them at the time. Our final payment was made in December 2023, concluding what we understood to be our last financial obligation to the company. We have no records of any ongoing contract or term agreement that would require further payments.Despite this, we continue to receive monthly bills from Allstream/Zayo. This ongoing billing is concerning, as it appearsto be a common practice by Allstream/Zayo based on the other complaints I have read or there seems to be an administrative error or an attempt to collect unwarranted payments. We believe this matter should be considered closed, with no further payments due, owing to the lack of any contractual agreement indicating otherwise. We have attempted to resolve this directly with Allstream/**** but have not achieved a satisfactory outcome. We request assistance in resolving this issue.
