      My account was auto-charged for a service I do not use. In my attempt to contact the customer service department, I not only encountered rude representatives, one even hung up on me. This company is a scam and they make it purposefully difficult and deceitful so that they can continue charging your card.

      I paid for 3 years of internet security July 21, 2023 for their Secure Anywhere software, and their VPN security July 21, 2024, I cancel their service because the security program kept crashing. Now I have a new security company as of January 28, 2025, The Webroot people refuse to give me a refund.

      I purchased a subscription for Webroot premier on 12/5/2024 but the provided codes did not work. I applied for a refund and removed any trace of Webroot premier from my computer.The company refuses to issue my refund of $124 and in my account appears that I have installed the Webroot premier on 4 computers. Also, all my information of my previous subscription of Webroot secure anywhere was removed from my account and the account was frozen. In reality, I have only one desk computer and one laptop and the Webroot secure anywhere was the software installed when I applied for premier. I want my refund, and I recommend everybody to not buy Webroot products.

      this is worst company to deal with ever. Use them at your risk. This company will not let you cancel service. as other complaints below - they will NOT stop subscription without giving them bank routing numbers and allowing them access to checking accounts (NOT HAPPENING). this company stated credit card could NOT receive credit to cancel and they WOULD NOT cancel subscription without bank routing numbers. this should never happen. i will continue to search how to cancel, but NEVER use this company.

      Only gave a one star rating because I couldnt leave it blank! After searching the website for a cancellation button and unable to locate one I called and was told I have to cancel online! I told them I couldnt find anywhere to cancel membership, again was told I have to cancel on website and over and over again told them they dont offer a place to cancel! Once I figure out how to cancel I will never recommend them ever!

      This company is one of the worst I have ever dealt with.It is not about money. I did not renew my subscription, and they are not making any unauthorized charges to my credit card. Not yet, at least.The problem is that I cannot remove the software from my computer. The program keeps operating, taking up a lot of disc space and computer resources. I don't know what it is doing. Since my contract has expired, why is it doing anything,? Is it collecting information from my system? If so, it is illegal.I want to get rid of this nasty infection and the company will not allow it. The information they provide for removing the software is useless. When I tell them that it doesn't work, they simply repeat the worthless information.There is no excuse for it. It is simple and easy to remove software from other companies. That is why I am suspicious of this company, and completely dissatisfied with it. I will complain to more authorities.

      Cancelled last year, charged me twice again this year and they claim they didnt charge me. It takes forever to get a hold of billing, and no direct number is give they pick up and quickly say you need billing and before you can ask another for the direct number they transfer you.

      They continue to charge me year after year despite the fact that I called them several years ago to cancel service. I talked to ********************* today from Webroot who asked to get into my ****** Chrome browser. They do not allow "reply to email" and they will not cancel with a phone call. He stated that I have to fill out a "cancellation form" that he can only give me by entering my ****** Chrome browser. Disgusting.

      I renewed my subscription and it wasn't renewed. I fought with them for 2 months so I finally had to file a dispute with my credit card company. Then they had the nerve to bill my credit card a year later. I made several attempts to correct the problem and just got the cold shoulder. I had to call my credit card company and file another dispute and change my card number.

      I got the free trial from webroot with my computer purchase. Explain to me why neither I nor webroot can delete it now? I called and emailed webroot, they basically said " We can't help you. Try calling or emailing (which I wasn't doing)" I tried to delete it and the software is strange and doesn't allow the administrator to delete/uninstall it. That is some SKETCHY software if it's not removable and they have the worst customer service to not even explain why or bother to help.
