    I received a letter on 9/20/22 from ********** ********************************** LLP law firm that claimed it was a "Second Notice" regarding a debt I owed to Northwest Parkway. The letter states that as of 9/16/22, I owe $82.45. I was not mailed a first notice and I was provided no information about the breakdown of these charges and the alleged debt I owe. The law firm is seeking my immediate payment of the debt to Northwest Parkway, but I have no idea if this is a legitimate approach or charge, given the lack of information and notice. This cannot be a legitimate business practice.

    This complaint is over the charging practices of this company. In 2019 had been in the process of moving to ******** and had been making commutes from Brighton to ********** for work. I do not deny that I used the *** toll road. Due to the way the signs are stacked on top of each other. To me it was not clear that it was a completely separate entity toll route from ********** ************. Going down the highway at 75mph its hard to really see that its separate because the signs for both companies are so closely posted together. I never received a bill from this company and now I have received a court summons which even that they seemed to mess up my address which makes me so suspicious of them trying to get more money from me; and I am being sued and charged for $5,000+. I had received my bills from ************ regularly even with my change of address from ***** to ******** I payed them all on time. This feels like a somehow legal cash grab operation that feels like it should be illegal. The fact that ******** is ok with how this company runs its business is shameful. If I had received the bills at the time I would have paid in a timely manner. Money was not an issue at the time with the job I was working. Now I barely make even a quarter of what I was making and they expect to squeeze blood from the stone. Do Not under any circumstances use *** if you can avoid it especially with out of state plates. They will **** you for thousands of dollars slamming a small $4 toll with a $30 late fee if it means they get their pay day for it. Be safe and stay away from Northwest Parkway.

    I never received a bill from Northwest Parkway regarding a toll from June 4th. I now received a letter from collections for a fee and past due amount, but have yet to see a bill. I called to ask about the charges and wasn't given any information about the breakdown of the charges or offered a bill to view. The name on the collections letter is in my OLD last name and if they had my OLD last name then I am not confident my bill was sent to the right place. There are numerous complaints where they DO NOT sent the bill and then charge fees.

    I thought I had this situation resolved last year, after numerous letters, a certified letter, 4 unanswered phone calls, etc.But a whole NEW episode is starting again. I just received the attached letter dated September 16, 2022 saying I have an outstanding bill for a parkway toll. Just like last year, there is no date of the toll, they state they sent me a bill which I didn't respond to, and now they want penalties/fee. I haven't owned the vehicle they refer to for over 1 1/2 years. We have LOCKED mailboxes in our neighborhood. I have never had an issue with mail disappearing. I have excellent credit, and certainly would have paid a small toll charge if I had ever received a bill. I have an account with the OTHER toll company in ******** (************) and always leave a balance in it in case I travel on one of their roads.Three years ago my wife received the same kind of bill. She couldn't understand why she missed (according to them) 2 delinquency notices. So she paid the bill. Then I started getting them. I checked the internet, and apparently hundreds of others are getting them as well. Not bills. But late notices saying the bills were ignored and unpaid. This company is a scam, plain and simple. Since they don't answer phone calls, correspondence, or even Certified Letters, I felt it best to involve a third party because I don't want to go through another 6 months of aggravation and stress. I'm 70 years old...very rarely travel to ******. But if I crossed one of their roads, and there was a toll, I am more than happy to pay the bill, but NOT all these other bogus charges alleging I ignored their request for a toll payment. This organization really needs to be stopped. I realize they are not a member of BBB, and that doesn't surprise me at all.The new letter from them is dated September 16, 2022.      Just an update on this complaint. Thank you for your intervention as this was the first time I ever got an explanation from ********** & ******. And it was helpful to figure the situation out.

    They stated they used the address on my car registration and thankfully I still had a copy of the 2020 registration.  The address had a P.O. Box that was completely legitimate. My HOA uses community mail boxes.  In 2020 the local post offices stated that it would no longer deliver mail addressed P.O. Boxes only, that the mail also needed the physical address. Kind of defeats the purpose of a P.O Box.   The residents filed a complaint with the State Postmaster, and the mail was resumed after several months of complaints. So ********** & ****** probably did send the toll notices, but I did NOT get them through no fault of my own. I can't fight the ***** so I will just send the invoice due.  Thank you again for your assistance. I always appreciate your intervention.

    Apparently I have a $5 toll fee from two years ago. I received no bills from them until today, when a collection agency sent me an $80 bill.

    I have had an e toll account for 10 years. It keeps a balance and recharges my card as needed. I used Northwest Parkway on 5/24/2022 and I believe again on 7/23/2022. I only received a bill number ******** for $ ***** on 8/22/2022 and they had already charged me a 25 dollars late fee and sent me to collections. I called today 9/22/2022 and paid the bill, after speaking to a supervisor they reduced it 2 dollars so I paid *****. The fee should have been paid from my etoll account automatically, they should not have had to send me a bill and certainly should not have sent me to collections. This damages my credit. The person on the phone laughed and said this happens all the time. They also said it would take 4 weeks to clear my credit even though I paid the bill. Their relationship with etoll is very confusing, almost criminal. I have never had an issue with etoll before. I request that NW parkway refunds the 25 dollar late fee to me and clears my credit immediately. They also need to clean up their system and stop taking advantage of people in this way.

    My daughter go a fee for going through the toll on 5/17. The first bill by mail i received was on 8/4 which included late fees, mailing fees and a processing fee. I get the mail and pay the bills and I never received a mail notification on 7/4 which i was charged a mail fee (if i did i would have paid the bill immediately). I called and they removed the late fee but were not able to remove the mailing fee of .80.Now compare the billing notification i had for *********** for my daughters visit to ********. I was sent a bill with no late fees or service charges and paid it immediately a few weeks ago. If i am one person experiencing these unreasonable fees and we are in a huge inflation period, I cant even imagine how many other customers Northwest Parkway is abusing for capital gains. I paid the bill and encourage a review of their business practices that are costing your citizens and visiting tourists more money than a reputable service like *********** is.

    NW Parkway turned a $6.15 charge to collections. Statements were sent to an old address. Egregious business practice.
