On June 30th 2023 I purchased an extended tire package for my brand new 2024 *** 430i after being assured that this was the most reputable company to do so with.On June 8th 2024 at approximately 5:45am in my home area under dark lighting conditions I inadvertently made contact with a typical ************* pothole while driving at the posted speed limit. The pothole damaged my tire and rim. Having confidence that I had the best warranty plan from supposedly the best warranty company I felt confident I'd be alright and that my vehicle would be repaired. The Open Road service department in ** which has a superior reputation assured me my vehicle would be repaired and that they would deal directly with the ****************** Inc.Long story short Tri-Pac told *** they would only cover the cost of the right front rim but not the ******** tire on the same rim. The ************************ were great, they showed the visible bubble on my tire exactly next to the damaged tire rim. It was obvious to all that the tire was damaged but Tri-Pac refused to cover the tire or to even send and inspector to view the tire.*** stated they called and emailed Tri-Pac numerous times and they finally said Tri-Pac refused to even answer after the initial phone call, and email.I had to pay *** $367.13 for the tire replacement. How can a rim be damaged but the tire be fine? How can a clearly visible bubble on the inside of my tire at the exact point of the rim damage not be covered by such an allegedly reputable company such as Tri-Pac. Why couldn't they see a visible damaged area of the tire in photos that the *** service dept. circled in their email. Also I want to thank Tri-Pac for causing me much anxiety and grief especially when just a few short months ago I had kidney cancer requiring a partial nephrectomy. If your a consumer please take your tire warranty business else where and to Tri-Pac thank you for doing a half coverage on my vehicle. This was first claim ever with Tri-Pac..Business Response

To Whom It May Concern -
Thank you for contacting us regarding the customer ******************************* complaint. I have attached the claim notes from my adjuster who evaluated the photos provided and worked with the service center on adjudicating the claim. As noted in the attached, the repair shop re-used the original tire on the rim that was approved. The photos provided as part of the claim did not show any bubble from the damaged rim and hence was not approved.
If you have any questions, please email me back at *******************************.

I bought a tire and wheel policy, sold to me through ******** Route 2 ******** the policy is written through Tripac. I was told that I could cancel the policy when I no longer owned my car. I traded my car in, and requested my policy be canceled and a refund issued. The dealer that sold me the policy just informed me that since I had a claim, I am not entitled to a prorated refund. This was never mentioned to me when the policy was sold to me.Business Response

Friday April 28th was heading to a doctor *********** while on the highway a dump truck was hauling debris a piece fell off and damage 2 cars 1 was mine. I reached out to my tire warranty provide and explained the situation and what happen, 2 tires got damaged and a hair line crack on one of my rims, right away I exited the high started reaching for help from a family member got the tow truck to come and get me from where I was and towed me to one of the tore shop that is associated with tripac, got to the tore shop to get everything fixed tripac denied my claims because my front bumper was damage while parked in Manhattan 2 weeks ago have a valid poloce report and everything mind you I can't claim my bumper thru the insurance because my deductible it high and my pumper cost less so I have to come out of pocket I provide paperwork showing I went to the body shop to get my bumper fix put a deposit on it, means while I lost my job plus gotta pay out of pocket for my bumper no I spent thousands of dollars on a warranty that I used once for the 3 years I had it for like this is unacceptable like so hard working ********* that have rough times and is fortunate like others that has money laying around to just fox anything when needed fortunate now I have to make a choice weather to eat, or fix my tires that I have warranty coverage over a bumper that I'm paying out of pocket that I can't even pay the full bill at the moment to now pay $600-$700 dollars of damage on my car that I can't get to interviews or my doctor visit like I literally felt like I'm being single out, and being rob out of thousand of dollars I paid for a warranty that would be a back up to help with my tires just in case I don't have the money on hand.Business Response

In response to ********************** complaint, I have attached additional images provided by the repair shop. The factors for denial to ****************** claim is due to the following:
1. The police report indicates ****************** vehicle was parked at the time of the incident. ********************** vehicle obtained substantial damage from the incident and when inquiring with ****************** on whether he submitted a claim to his insurance carrier, ****************** did not confirm.
2. Given the damages from the accident (noted in item 1) are considered collision oriented, his primary auto insurance carrier should cover the repairs. Our policy does not cover repair to the tire & wheel as a result of an accident as we cannot be liable to repairs associated with an accident.
3. Per the Exclusions of your agreement:
Any tire or wheel damage, which would normally be covered by YOUR primary insurance coverage.
Pre-existing damage, normal wear, overloading, dry rot, fire, flood, vandalism, acts of God, abnormal wear or damage from improper alignment, improper inflation, or failure of suspension components, damage from off-road usage, racing tires, re-treaded, re-grooved or re-capped tires, tires with less than 3/32 remaining tread depth or commercial usage.
Damage to other parts of YOUR VEHICLE caused by the failure of tires and/or wheels, improper repairs, installation, mounting or balancing as well as repairs performed in a manner that does not comply with the tire and/or wheel manufacturers guidelines.
Any damage resulting from continued operation or caused by YOUR failure to take reasonable precautions to protect covered tires and/or wheels from further damage when an apparent problem exists.
Any loss or consequential damage, including physical damage, personal injury or death, or property damage, which results from the failure of a tire and/or wheel covered by this contract due to contact with a ROAD HAZARD.
Your Responsibilities: To maintain proper inflation at all times per the vehicle or tire manufacturer. Alignments, tire rotation and balancing must be performed according to manufacturers required maintenance. Use all responsible means to protect YOUR VEHICLES tires and wheels from further damage when a known problem exists.
