My wife and I took two of our vehicles in to Cisco's Auto for hail estimates on the following days:6/6/23 - 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee 6/15-23 - **** Chevrolet Trail Blazer Despite Cisco's website and a sign on the building saying estimates are free, they charged us $100 per vehicle for the estimates. They told me that this is to cover their time but that if we elected to use them for the repairs the $100 per vehicle would be applied to the bill. I've never had to pay for an estimate but we went along with it assuming they would do the work anyway.Six weeks later on 7/24/23 we brought the Jeep in and left it for the repairs. The next day we get an email from Cisco's telling us the estimate was supposed to cost $500 not $100 and that they would need that additional $400 plus the entire balance to get started and that there may be more billable items coming. I was told that the guy that had helped us messed up and should have charged $500 and that this $500 would not even be applied to the work that was to be done. They are telling this a month after we were charged $100 and paid it. When I questioned the legitimacy of back billing a transaction that had already be completed, Cisco told me that there was "too much communication" and refused service. This made the $100 x2 estimate fees we paid a compete loss. Also, if the estimates really are $500 why does it say $100 on the paperwork. If they were $500 we would not even have considered paying it.When I asked about how the estimate could now be $500 and not $100 as stated on the paperwork and the amount I was charged and paid at the time, Cisco told me that the employee that charged me $100 didn't know what he was doing and was no longer with the company. Two problems with that, when I brought the second vehicle in I dealt with Cisco and he also charged me $100 for the Trail Blazer. The problem also remains that you cannot go back in time on a completed transaction and rebill it at a higher amount. Also despite having an estimate of $3,570 for the work, while in the shop they were telling me the repairs would now be $6,700 because it was an insurance claim. They literally were ****ing up the price when they thought it was an insurance claim. However, I had specifically told them we would be paying cash. We're asking for our two $100 deposits back as we have never entered into the agreement if we had any idea they were then going to **** the price up to $500 4-6 weeks pater and the fact that they refused service making the $200 in estimate fees useless as we could not then have them applied to the work as originally planned.
