My family and I were visiting ******** during the Thanksgiving Break in 2022. We reside in ****** and during the trip we had an accident on Nov 25th 2022. We were driving our 2017 *** X5, the car was considerably damaged on the front passenger side and we did not feel safe to drive it all the way back to ******. We looked up nearby collision repair shop and found Regional Collision and Towing as a repair shop. We dropped our car on 26th November 2022 at the above mentioned shop. The owner was very cordial and also provided us a ride to the rental car company. Our insurance company made a payment of $10,500.00 on 11/28/2022. The shop kept saying they were having issues procuring parts and now it has been 4 months since we dropped the car. After multiple phone calls, emails and visits from our insurance adjuster, the shop has not started any repair on the car as of today. The car is sitting outside in the weather and is depreciating in value. We really think the shop is a scam and has no intention of providing any repairs. We would like the money and the car back as soon as possible but am not sure if he will actually refund any.

I am the shop manager and this is something that falls on the owner of the business who took the check without doing reparis despite my numerous attempts on telling him we need to order parts and repair this vehicle. I send my sincere apologies that this has happened.

I am rejecting this response because:
I need a response from the shop owner or any representative for the shop owner. Now the complaint is agreed & accepted by the shop manager in her response, let me know how and when the business can refund the amount of $10,302.19 paid to them for repair.
    Sincerely,

May 6th, 2022 - I drop my car off for overheating. Blown head gaskets was believed to be the issue. So *** recommended we replace the engine. - I had to pull out an AER loan for $5,436.28 to facilitate the repair.- *** was very cooperative at first.May 19th, 2022 - AER was very difficult, but after dealing with them, *** was finally able to start the repairs.- I was never told how long I could be waiting for my car. - I was under the impression it would be a quick turnaround. 7 days **** This was clearly not the case.June 28th, 2022 - Over a month since he actually started repairs, I got my vehicle.- The vehicle would drive, but I would have issues starting it because it would always sputter.July 4th, 2022 - I start overheating again - I drop the vehicle off to *** AGAIN In between this, I was tired of constant failure from *** so I got it diagnosed at *********************** Chevrolet. Same ****, so I showed the diagnosis to ***. That gave them more insight and I was hopeful.July 21st, 2022 - I drop it back off because the car is still overheating August 12, 2022 - I pick up the vehicle - Its still sputtering when I start it, but its driving fine August 14th, 2022 - The car completely stalls out. I cant turn the wheel, I cant brake, I lose all power September 8th, 2022 - Not only did *** not call me to tell me he was putting in another engine, he took it upon himself to threaten me because I called asking for an update. If I was ever notified about my vehicle in a timely manner, we wouldnt have any problems Im only faulting *** for everything after May 19th, 2022. Negligence, unprofessionalism, and I will pursue reimbursement and possibly court.
