    August 10, 2022, 2:51 pm. I have been a loyal and longtime customer of ********************** because of the quality of knowledge and customer service that I regularly receive when I have questions about items at the stores. I was shocked to have one of the worst customer experiences I have had for several years at the Circle Ace Hardware store in ****************. I was replacing a broken pane of protective glass on a stained-glass window project. The replacement piece needed to be very precisely cut to fit on the outside of this project window prior to the frame being manufactured and it being installed. The measurements for the glass are 23 9/16 inches by 30 1/8 inches. I went to the store, gave the glass gentleman the dimensions as noted above. I was unable to check the measurements on the glass before leaving the store because the glass was wrapped in several layers of Ace Hardware paper. Upon arriving home, I prepped the stained glass and laid the new outer glass on it to check fit before installing and found the glass was cut larger than the dimensions. I found the width to be 23 5/8 and the length to be 30 3/16 to 30 . I phoned store and asked for them to recut the glass to the proper width. I spoke to several individuals who didnt identify themselves on the phone but the last person said I could bring the glass piece in and if dimensions were different, they would recut it for me, which I did. I spoke to store manager ***** who measured the glass and said it was the proper dimensions but refused to show me the measurements he took, and also refused to use the tape measure I had brought to the store, the one I took the original measurements with. ***** refused to cut new glass, refund my money, and handed the glass back to me with no other words. ************** was clearly not committed to helping me out with the problem and wanted me to go away. He did not offer any help either financial or constructive on how to get the wrong size of glass to work.
